Most of these reviews are about the prior restaurant. Currently New Tate of India and not that great. My first impressions were very hopeful, but the meal was a let down. The environment is pretty cold. The lamb vindaloo was good, not great. Naan seemed a tad flat. Samosas were large with decent flavor, but a bit cold in the center. The big loser was the chicken tikka masala. The curry was exceptionally sweet and worst of all the chicken was nasty! Nasty as in day or so old with not just a slight flavor, but so much so that if you broke it open you could smell it! When asked about the chicken the server argued with me saying that the chicken was marinated freshly made when it was obviously not! Needless to say we didnt take the left overs which never happens when we go out for Indian! This is a 2.5 star experience and will not be returning as there are better options.

Went with a group of coworkers for lunch buffet. There was a large amount of options and it was nice that they split the veggie and meat options up into 2 clear sections. Unfortunately that was the highlight. The dishes themselves were just OK, we all agreed the spicy chili chicken was the best dish and the chicken tikka masala tasted like freezer burn. Everything else was in between. The garlic naan was good. The provided hot chai was pre-sweetened to diabetic shock levels. Service was alright, the waitress refilled our water once and kept the naan flowing. The price was good for all you can eat, but with Chennai Masala close by charging the same price for far superior food its a no brainier were I will head next time. 4/10.

I had a flat tire so I went to Les Schwab this afternoon but it was going to take 45min+ and it was noon and I hadnt stopped to eat yet. The tire center shares a parking lot with 2 fast food joints and another across the street, none of which were calling to me but off in the distance, I could make out "India" on a sign so I headed that way.. Ohhhhhmyyyyy did I find a gem!! The restaurant was immaculate, the staff was attentive and friendly and I loved the decor!! I sat in a room with several chandeliers sparkling above me as I watched MTV India. Time flew by as I enjoyed some of the best Indian food, I have had in a longgg time.

Weve been on a search for new and different foods and have been to a few Indian places. This one, by far, outshines the others. The food is excellent and well prepared. The owners seem to do everything from cooking to providing the best service weve ever had. Theyve answered all our questions about everything from "whats in this and how is it prepared" to "what sport are we watching?" Could the restaurant be more fancy or dressed up? Sure, but I dont go to eat a chair. Its clean, service is great, the food is delicious, and the price is very reasonable.

I am rather new to Indian food, and love it! We have eaten twice at New Taste of India (once at the restaurant on Macadam Ave. in Portland) and both times have thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is fresh, the service reasonably fast, and the servers very pleasant. I love the papadam with the mint chutney and the garlic naan. My husband loves the curries, but I crave the tiki masala (with medium plus spice). The mango malai was the perfect light, but delicious dessert. Very nice meal!

Brilliant place to eat! Great food; some of the best Indian fare we have tasted in the Portland Metro area. Staff are super friendly and very polite. At lunch, ask for chai tea as its complimentary and delicious! We cannot wait to see the new addition open when it is completed. Very clean restaurant with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Im not a huge fan of American Chinese food, so I was delighted to discover that Pure Spice has authentic Chinese food. The two most interesting things Ive tried so far were jellyfish and spicy pig ear. They were both good, especially the pig ear. But the best item weve found is the pumpkin pancakes. If you go here, definitely try them! Theyre cooked perfectly, and just slightly sweet.

They are very busy and the parking lot is full at lunch. The food is Chinese. I liked it, but I wasnt overly impressed. The servers were very flustered and tried to bring us other peoples food three times. The menus are pictures of food. The dining area is a mix of booths and cafeteria style tables. If youre looking for Chinese this will fit the bill.

Very nice tasty freshly made north Indian food. Amazing ambience , very clean and excellent service.Very impressive restaurant. Ordered Malai kofta, veg pakora, veg biryani, aloo kulcha and for dessert Sweet Ansel Naan. Amazingly delicious and reasonably priced.

Fantastic Indian food! Hillsborough is lucky to have such a great Indian place. Fairly well priced, great atmosphere, and fantastic food. If youre looking for a quality meal and youre feeling a bit adventurous, then you should definitely come here.

This is top 3 best Indian restaurants Ive ever had in my life. And Ive been eating Indian food since I was in a high chair. I highly HIGHLY recommend it. Reasonably priced, never busy, always delicious. Wont go anywhere else after coming here.

I went here for an all-you-can eat lunch buffet for $10 with one of my colleague. The food was OK but cold. For the similar price I found a lot more options in other Indian resturants in the neighbouthood. The dining area was nice although.
