I have been going to Taste of India for years, and it is by far the best Indian in Eugene! I recently moved back east for school, and the food I miss the most is TOI~I miss the yummy buffet, with the creamy Sagg and Nan baked to perfection, the friendly staff who are always there with a smile, and for regulars a fun story or two, and the ambiance cant be beat. If you dont have the time or cash for a nice sit-down lunch TOI has a great take out buffet option as well, only 4.99 for all you can fit into a to-go container. Trust me, you can fit more than just one meal in that container--and then you can have TOIs yummy goodness on the go. Long story short--great food, excellent value, and superb service--I highly recommend Taste of India

I am from India (Punjab) and travel alot of business and this is the place I go to when I need good Indian food. These guys know how to cook tasty, authentic Indian Food. I been to every restraunt in Oregon and this is the only one that has best tasting Indian food not only best but it taste Indian and authentic. The prices are good and customer service is always warm and friendly. I love this restraunt.

In Eugene, there are not too many really good Indian food restaurants but Taste of India is excellent! The portions are good size and the quality and taste are very authentic. I have not tried the buffet as others have written but for take out or eat in you cannot go wrong. The decor is comfortable and service is prompt and friendly. I have enjoyed this place for years...try it!

In the past is has been my favorite buffet, but I suggest people call in advance to make sure they will actually be open.Twice I made a special trip to eat at Taste of India, but it was closed, when the website claimed it was open. This time, 3 other groups of customers were at the door, looking through the windows at an empty buffet. 7 customers went away hungry.

I used to go here often and enjoyed the food and the service, however....they DO NOT STICK to their posted hours. Fat chance you will get served any time after 1:30...if they are not going to serve their lunch past 1:00pm, then they should change their posted hours accordingly...I have made that mistake several times and am kinda done even trying anymore....

All-you-can-eat buffet for $10!!! Not the best Indian Ive ever had (spoiled with my familys cooking), but it gets the job done and satisfies my craving. At $10, its hard to beat...as for the regular menu, Id love to explore it more one of these days. The employees are friendly and the décor of the restaurant is unique, in a good way.

I eat here at least 3 times a month and cant speak highly enough about the overall quality of the restaurant. The staff is wonderful, the food is amazing and the price is fair. Ive eaten Indian food all over this country and taste of India is 2nd to none. And go for the buffet, you wont be disappointed :)

We are regulars at their lunch buffet and have been happy customers since their early days in Ashland. The buffet offers a modest selection, but nicely varied and always delicious! Their Tandoori chicken is exceptional and always deserves seconds! My young grandkids absolutely love eating here.

The service was friendly and did everything right. I was with a group of friends, we were never hurried, the staff was helpful and the food came out on time. We enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. I cant write anything bad just to be a snob so two thumbs up from this guy!

Well worth the drive from Grants Pass, to Eugene for the best Indian food!!! they dont hold back on spices, very tasty and generous variety for the buffet. Will definitely be making frequent trips to Eugene. wish them all success. Rajpind

Wow, that was really good! Pretty inexpensive too. The tikka masala and biryani were super good. Nan and rice was really nice too. The mango chutney was much sweeter than Im accustomed to, but I liked everything else a lot!

Hours are not posted anywhere. Tried to eat here, no one answered the phone. Finally drove 20 minutes to the restaurant only to find out they didnt open for another hour. Hours werent even posted on the door!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The food is distasteful and the restaurant is dirty. The waiters act off and Ive mistakenly ate here two different and got sick. Never again! Dont waste your money

It is by far the best Indian place i have been to in Eugene. The food is quite near to authentic northern Indian food. Good ambiance & friendly staff. I think the $9 buffet is worth

Great food, great flavors. We came for dinner and got the chicken vindaloo and the chicken tikka. Had enough for leftovers! Great price, and will definitely try the lunch buffet asap!

All the dishes Ive tried here are flavorful and fresh. In particular, the lunch buffet is a good deal, with a variety of options (usually a few vegetarian dishes).
