I usually hit up Fremont or Berkeley for Indian/Pakistani restaurants. It may sound insane to do that much driving for food, but Im looking for near authentic to good food. On this day I just finished some errands at city hall. A coworker suggest I try this place. I usually brushed off what people are telling me being hard headed. However, for unknown reasons, I listened this time. Marched in and signal solo diner and going with buffet 13.99- dinner time price. I was expecting janky food with messy food trays. To my surprise non of that was encountered. In fact I can hear the meat slicer cutting up lamb pieces. Buffet carts were well-kept and refilled when ever it reaches halfway. Throughout my stay nothing ran out and workers kept rotating it out. I like their food, but hope they can bring down just a little on the sodium side. Some dishes were really salty that I had to spooned up some rice to balance it out. Either way you look at the price, its worth it for lunch and dinner.

We came for dinner tonight. Theres no line & we were seated right away. We got confit wing, beef brisket, whole roasted chicken, brussels sprouts and chive spätzle. Everything went great. The wings are crispy and spicy. I like the texture of the brussels sprouts. The mushrooms in chive spätzle are tasty. The chicken breast of the chicken is so tender and juicy. I was surprised that I prefer the white meat over the dark meat. The beef brisket is over cooked and salty but I love the the broccolini on the side. Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience here. I would recommend my friends.

Was craving "Indian" food. Googled Oakland for it. Marhaba popped up. It was the first day of Ramadan and close to closing and it seemed a little disorganized but ultimately, we chose the buffet and it was delicious. Everything I sampled was perfect, my idea of "Indian" food. Im not an expert by any stretch but this is good food and the people who run Marhaba are good people. They insisted on us taking leftovers from the buffet as we paid the check! My daughter took them up on the offer and filled a container and we left very full and grateful.

$10.99 Lunch Buffet! Pretty informal dining. Seat yourself, grab a plate and GO! A server with FRESH garlic naan will come walking by throughout the lunch and serve you with a piece as requested. Dessert options are limited, but theres plenty of lunch options to choose from. Lamb, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, saag, curry chicken, lentils, and fried eggplant just to name a few. They also have a full menu for dinner and take out. Not sure if they do take out for buffets, but Id definitely be back!

Best Indian & Pakistani food and one of the best menus in the Bay. Top three Chicken Tikka Masalas in my life (outside two homemade versions) and Lamb Naan was just on point as well. Asked for spicy and they provided the heat. Rarely write reviews - food was so on point, needed to give a shout out to the restaurant owners and cooks -- yall are leading the pack in the crowded and diverse food opportunities here in the Bay.

Ordered dinner to-go. Although delicious, the Butter Chicken and Chicken TM I ordered were scant; the chicken pieces were very small and had an unfamiliar texture to it. It seemed like I received the last bits of a tray, ready to be rotated out. I also ordered vegetable pokoras which tasted and looked burnt. The naan tasted like American wonder bread than actual naan. I will no longer order from here.

Positive: online delivery system was easy. Order was ready on time. But, Ive never had flavorless Indian food before and that was my experience at Marhaba. I ordered Chana Masala and the mixed Daal. Not only did they have little/no flavor, but they werent spicy neither (which I requested them to be). I cannot recommend this place, despite the dearth of Indian cuisine in this part of Oakland.

Not that I have anything against people, but this place is NOT run by Muslims, it is run by Sikhs. They advertise as halal and even Islamic writing hanging on their walls, but it is ALL a show. I dislike when businesses try to deceive people; I highly doubt that their food is halal. I dont recommend this shady restaurant.

Delicious food! Vegan, vegetarian, and traditional meat options like chicken tikka masala available in their lunch buffet. Also, garlic naan and Indian chai tea were a pleasant surprise for a buffet. Very friendly family runs this place and it is clean and well decorated. Casual but classy. Go!

Unfortunately, its another "lets just open a restaurant" kinda option.. The hygiene is poor.. the food was tasteless.. it looks unkempt and very unappetizing from the moment you walk in.. the owner though, was very sweet and friendly.. but thats not enough to run a restaurant business..

This is the best Indian food in oakland area, the owners are nice, chefs are amazing bc the food is always fresh and delicious, options vary by the day, free chai, garlic Naan. This place is far superior than the a la Carte spots. Expect a crowd after 12pm except Fridays

Great food! The lunch buffet offers sit down and to go choices. The food is always fresh and flavorful. They will even pass around fresh garlic naan while you are eating. Lots of room for large tables too. Great choice for lunch in downtown Oakland.

The food was amazing. The buffet is probably the best i have seen in this country and is super cheap. The items are fresh and hot. The owner got us some watermelons for dessert just as we were about to leave. Defenitely recommend this place.

Good flavors but I asked for very spicy and got blander than what my one year niece gets in her Gerber mashed veggie jars. I like spicy hot food so... Nice people and tasty food but not for for who likes his food to have a bit of a kick.

Me and some friends were walking around after the bars at 2am and they happened to be opened. They saved the night because we were all so hungry. Their food is really good and the owners were very friendly.
