This wasnt my first time here but will probably be my last. At least for a while. Went tonight around 730pm with my bf. I ordered the Eggplant chicken which is what i always have. I liked it. My bf however FOUND A HAIR IN HIS FOOD!(Chicken yellow curry)We were both very disappointed by this. He brought it to one of the workers attention. She took a look at it and said, "idk how that got there" well lady it obviously fell from someones head or face. Thats how it got there. I hope those people in the back cooking the food wear hair nets and keep their faces shaved because something like this can not happen. Its just gross! Since my bf was almost done with his food when he discovered the hair she deducted a dollar and some change from the bill LOL. We honestly didnt mind paying full price that wasnt the point. We werent looking for a deduction. It was more about bringing awareness to the situation. Then after she took our plates away she asked if we wanted dessert. This almost made me laugh. We just spotted a hair in the food and she wants to offer us more food. Hmmmm no just go get us the bill so we can leave. I would also describe the staff as very ALOOF, all of them. They all seemed ready for their shifts to be over. Not very friendly and engaging at all. A very sad experience.

Amazing! We have been going here for years because they are consistently friendly, clean, and serve delicious authentic Thai food. I cant help but shake my head at negative reviews, wondering what happened as well as feel a little defensive about my favorite Chico Thai restaurant. Here are my replies to the negative comments: 1. ABOUT NO FRESH ROLLS - Yes, there are fresh rolls: Imperial Rolls, Salmon Rolls, Siamese Rolls. If you are looking for sushi rolls, you have the wrong restaurant/country of origin. 2. LITTLE OR NO VEGETARIAN OPTIONS - Google, "Cocodines Chico menu" go to their Facebook page for the menu. Any item that has a flower next to it is vegetarian. I count 48 items -- so if that isnt enough, perhaps you should stay at home and eat. Pineapple Fried Rice is a favorite, along with the standard Green/Red curry. Its hard to go wrong with anything else, though!

I have been going to Cocodine Thai Cuisine in Chico since it opened. The owners are lovely people and run an excellent restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and my favorite is the Sizzling Salman - yum! It comes with a delectable sauce, broccoli, carrot, squash and rice. The dishes are always clean and polished, the water tastes good, and the prices are reasonable for such magnificent food. I read through the reviews here and the people who gave a negative review are either owners of competitive restaurants or they dont know anything about Thai food. The food is not made from pre-made sauces. The food is wonderful - and I have been in several Asian countries and love Asian cuisine. The owners are from Thaland and bad reviews are mostly written by anonymous people. This restaurant is lovely in every way.

We ordered two curries, red and green. The portions were terribly small and it was way too expensive for the size. Chada Thai and Thai express give way bigger portions for the same or close to the same price. The food was okay but there was nothing special about it, having had thai food from other places and Thailand itself. Its very disturbing given the fact that the ingredients that are used to make Thai food is not expensive. We feel like we were ripped off and we were very shocked given the small portion size with the amount paid. We were left hungry. I definitely recommend Chada Thai or Thai Express if you want to be satisfied and not regret the money you spent.

This place is NOT GOOD with new customers!!! My family was visiting from out of town and right away, the waitress went to the back (where the restrooms are) and complained that we were a lot of people. My father in law heard the comment. Then, when the same waitress comes back, she automatically assumes we all want water. Family decides we want to leave, and as we leave, the waitress told my aunt that they dont serve large parties!! Completely rude!!! They lost a ton of business/money. Never coming to this place when we are here in town again

We love this restaurant. Its a small place, tucked in a corner at a strip mall, but dont let that turn you away. It has friendly service and delightful food. They have a large menu, but we love their curry dishes the best. If memory serves me, they have a red, a yellow and a green curry dish. All dishes can be made with tofu, so your veggie friends can eat there also. Theres a dish with coconut milk, basil & curry thats excellent. Oh, and their seafood is wonderful too. We have eaten there several times and love the place.

After moving to Chico, I was eager to check out Cocodine since it is supposed to be the best. Let me say that this is the first restaurant that has ever prompted me to write a review. To sum it up... prices are high, portions are small, flavor is mediocre, and no fresh rolls on the menu... really? Honestly, three stars is generous. If this is the best of Chico, I guess Ill have to learn to cook Thai food.

I ordered a pad Thai and Penang curry sauce on the side. The pad Thai was a Thai x 2 spicy and lived up to it. The Panang curry was a great addition to it. I have to say that it was very good and exceeded my expectations. As a comparison I am going to try Thai Basil next with the same order to see how they compare.

Delicious veggies. Delicious soup. Excellent service. Veggie potstickers. And though it might seem a small matter to most people, this restaurant actually cooked the brown rice like brown rice is supposed to be cooked, i.e., longer and with more water than when one cooks white rice. A bit pricey.

We love coming here and are what you call regulars...best Thai in town! The staff is always very friendly and helpful..the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Although we have our favorites on the menu weve tried many other dishes too and they are always good and creatively prepared!

Food tasted great- I got their yellow chicken curry. Paid about 11 dollars just for me! Portions are small in comparison to other locations. Overall, its a cute little spot that will give you the Thai fix you need.

Wholly unimpressed. Offers nothing really for vegetarians. Curries are premade. Almost lends the feeling that it was owned by Chinese people; was bland and flavorless. Lacked taste, authenticity.

Great Thai food, been coming here for a long time and have never been disappointed by the food. The service is also great. This place gets pretty busy at night so there is a wait sometimes.
