Came here on 10-25-16 and all I have to say is that Ive never experienced racism and the person let it be known that they were racists until the nite I visited this place after being watched and whispered about by this lady and what I think were 7-10 younger children I made it my business to ask who were those people that just left out of the store the guy hesitated and after about 3 seconds he said the owners family the look in his eyes and the vibe that I got from him he already knew why I was asking I wont get into details what I experienced but I think its sad and you have to have some type of mental disabilities to have a hate for a person because of their skin color and to teach innocent children those devilish things are horrible I feel like people of color belongs as much as any other person belongs as a matter of fact I dont even think you Caucasians really belong im just going to give one example and Im done for instance the uv rays from the sun hits colored people skin and it gives them vitamin D and certain energies that helps the body on the other hand when the suns uv rays hit the Caucasian what we witness is destruction drained energy sun burn cancer etc but they brush it off like its nothing and use sunblock like its normal thats not normal people this is real people andweve got facts that this happens nature will rid you of all of your wrong doing in the end every ethnic of people has there problems so hatred of skin color is pathetic blacks are some of the most well mannered free hearted people you can ever meet but society paints this crazy picture and everyone runs with it Im not here to preach I just want people to know what I experienced at this store for no reason at all I dont dislike them because I know that it was taught to them and that its passed from generation to generation to hate or dislike a certain type of people Im from Mississippi and Ive never felt that uncomfortable before in my life until I visited 83DINER YORK,PA P.S I WASNT HERE TRYING TO PREACH IM JUST HERE TO SPEAK THE TRUTH MAY PEACE B UPON YOU PEOPLE

Parked Saturday night 6th August. The owners said the convenient, laundry and showers would be open Sunday morning. The parking monitor was not working so parking was free. Sunday afternoon the convenient store was still closed but the owners were willing to allow me to shower. I was not sure how the fees worked and they are still figuring them out themselves. So I opt to just eat at the fine diner and go to Middletown Loves for free parking and I had credit for a shower. First 4 hour of parking should be free, an industry standard 24 hour parking I think would be more cost effective than having someone chasing a 12 hour ticket. Since they have limited showers I would not consider it to be a premium experience so $10 should be the fee. Same is true for parking, $10 should be the fee. Spending $15 at the restaurant and/or convenient store for 24 hour not 12 hours. I wish them well.

Minorities beware, this place are huge racial profilers. Walked in with my family. The diner had 9 tables filled and a wait staff of at least 5. They sat us in an empty corner apart from all other guests. 20 min later and glances from 3 of the wait staff we still were not waited on. In fact they had not even taken a drink order. Having a medical condition were I must eat at certain times. In additi2n, we had 2 hungry children with us. Consequently we got up and left the diner. Talking to the waitress before leaving, the response was sorry we did not see u there. Oh really, in an empty silent diner u didnt hear two noisy boys or notice us when 3 of your staff looked over at our table. Shame on u I 83 diner a letter is being sent to the diner, the better BBB and the NAACP I suggest you get over your bigotry.

This place has been here for years. However, they just recently made a major investment to make it a home away from home for truckers. With 80 parking spaces and a new 24 hour travel center, which has laundry and shower facilities, its a great place to take a break from the road. I ate at the diner, and my server Steve did a fantastic job of taking care of me. He knows how to take care of his customers. Always in s great mood, smiling and you can tell its not just a job for him, he actually wants to be there for the guest. Constantly removing dirty dishes and refilling the drinks without having to ask. No server attitude here. I will be back when through here the next time!!

Service was good and food came out fast with nice portion sizes but my salad was very watery and I really couldnt enjoy my fries because the ketchup tasted discusting. I looked at the ketchup bottle and you can tell they reused it so many times the label was fading and you could barely see "Hunts". Its really not that hard to bug the red ketchup containers that are meant to be refilled. Its hard to wash ketchup bottles that arent meant to be refilled because of the groves in the cap and the curves inside the bottle. Ewww that ketchup and the way the bottle looked just ruined it for me... Dont think Ill be back

I love eating here, its a gem. Great atmosphere, fantastic food, and nice waitstaff. In the world of trucking, its refreshing to get great food. Although they do require you to dine to park for a certain amount of hours, I dont have a problem with that, but they should revise their rates vs hours. Especially when truckers have to wait for an extended amount of time to make a delivery at a strict appointment time. Theyll knock on your door to make you pay for additional time in the middle of the night. I have no problem dining to park, but you guys need to let it go through the morning.

The guy comes 2 am and knocks on your door "Hey you need a permit to park here" Imagine thar somebody comes and wakes you up!!?? Nowhere can you see the sign "Pay to park" or spend at least 20$$ to park for the night. Outrageously rood customer service (Lady in her 50s) 3 of 5 fuel lines did not work, no DEF. Restrooms smell like somebody died in there....Finaly got a shower after 2 hrs of waiting and then : (cold water and missing a shower head)...decided to proceed down the 83 S to get something descent. Bad service...dont recommend it to anyone...stay away or lood elsewhere!!!

I have never felt more uncomfortable in my life. First Im strong armed out of passing got a $10 gift card dispite saying i was going in for breakfast. Then when i do go in they look at me and my son like we are inferior and my money is no good. Did not even wasnt to Swype my debit card and was rushing me to order. The people here are racist and if your anything other than white you better not eat here because they will look at you funny. One other black guy walked in while we were waiting and the looked down they nose at him. I just hope they didnt spit in my food
