Excellent food. The sushi is among the best I know in Boston and they dont lose any quality for being suburban. We found their noodle and core Korean dishes (Bim Bop whatever...) to be excellent, too. Service is fine, but you have the typical cultural/language barrier that, at least in my mind, makes interfaces awkward and therefore prevents a top score for service.

Takara Wellesley is our favorite sushi spot in Boston - and we have searched high and low! The sushi is always very fresh and expertly prepared! Lots off great rolls to choose from. Amazing appetizers and the service is the best of any restaurant we have tried in years! Awesome place! Give it a try.

I had an amazing meal at takara, and cant wait to go back! The beef udon noodle dish was outstanding and the sushi rolls and sashimi met my expectations, brightening my day! The service was great, and my server did a strangely good job at remembering all the sushi I ordered, even without a pen and paper.

Takara is the heart and soul of japanese sushi in the metro west area! The dragon roles are never a disappointment, and the sashimi is always fresh. The service has been great, and I appreciate the hardwork that every single member of the takara team devotes every night!

Enjoyed dinner here the one time Ive visited. Everyone seemed happy with their order and some were generous portions. The atmosphere inside is fairly relaxed and there is a small bar area and fish tank. I look forward to going again for the Okdol Bibimbab.

For someone who doesnt particularly like Japanese food, I had a great meal! Nice selection of vegetable tempura. Dangerously potent Mai Tai! Good selection of wines. Good service by the (very busy) single waiter. Recommended!
