This place is sooo close to me I really wanted to love it. We tried dinner and I am hoping my stars go up after we try breakfast. The good- those fried pickles are on point If that is all I ate this place would have 5 stars! Oh and the green beans are awesome. The meh - chicken fried steak, burger and chopped steak are what we ordered I could into what was right and wrong about each but it doesnt matter the were just meh. Nothing horrible but nothing really great had much better The bad - I really hope the Mac and cheese is not homemade because of it is someone just wasnt raised right. It taste like it came out of a can it was horrible I would never eat it again. The chicken strips were also pretty terrible my kiddo ended up not eating. We tried desserts too. I was hoping for the diner dessert experience.... Nope , pie tasted frozen... And how do u ruin strawberry shortcake? It was pretty bad.

Went here last week. Ordered fried pickles, chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn comes with roll and corn bread. Had chocolate pie and took home some coconut pie. Service was top notch! Friendly, in a small town texas way, which I would expect. Polite, attentive, and just all around pleasant. Food was good and a would order the same items again. Fried pickles are a must! And the Pie was really good although I prefer meringue vs whip cream and their pies have whip cream. Chicken was moist and not over cooked, crispy breading with good flavor. The rolls and corn bread were the only thing I did not enjoy that much. Clean and fun atmosphere. Would go here again and recommend to friends and family.

Ate breakfast there yesterday with my granddaughter. I had bacon (crisped to perfection) two eggs over medium, (again perfectly cooked), toast and cream gravy. Delicious! My granddaughter had the "Greek" breakfast; gyros meat, two eggs, warm pita bread and a Greek salad with fresh coffee and a pancake on the side piled high with bananas and whipped cream with chopped nuts on top. It was so much food, she had to take most of it to go. Our bill was $23 including tax, $28 total with a $5 tip. Great food, great service, fantastic 50s décor. The owner, George, gave us "Dalrock Diner" coffee mugs as we left. Great new addition to Rowlett!

We went back today after trying it for the first time about a month ago and being completely in love with it. Today we ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it arrived cold and the eggs were overcooked. The reason I am posting this review is because our waitress NEVER came back to check with us, and its not because the restaurant was busy by any stretch of the imagination. Had our waitress followed up with us I would not have posted this review, but instead told them directly. They just dont seem to care at all, and I will not be returning.

They have the best pancakes - dont even need anything on them! They are very friendly and quick to get our food out. However, they are very limited on space if you have a group of more than 4. They have one table large enough to seat my family, but we always have to wait outside for it. There is no space inside to wait, so if the weather isnt good we dont go there knowing we will be waiting outside up to half an hour for someone else to finish eating before we can get inside.

This is a good diner. The waitstaff are very polite, and the food is decent. Just like any other diner, they sometimes drop the ball a little on the food. This is not fine dining people. Its a diner. The food has never been bad, just a little bland at times. Thats probably more my fault for ordering a bland dish. Ive been trying to sample a little of everything, so some items are out of my norm and Im probably not the best judge.

Their menu and style reflect a traditional burger and malt place. They have a Mediterranean twist, offering gyros and other options I forget, plus breakfast. Its very busy during the breakfast and lunch hours, but they offer carry out that you can call ahead. Good luck finding parking on the weekends too. Their portions are generous, and everything Ive tried has been My Favorite. Very good.

My family went to Dalrock Diner tonight! There was a wait but it was not long. While we were waiting we looked at the menu and found that there are so many great items to choose from. I was excited to find out that they serve breakfast all day. We had great service and the owner even came over to check on how everything was. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our family has had several meals at the diner now. We have not found anything we do not like and have never had bad service! From breakfast to burgers to chicken fried steak to pork chops to shrimp! We have tried a lot! The homemade desserts are awesome and hard to share! We will be back many times!!

I went for breakfast and ordered coffee, 2 eggs, hash browns and biscuits and gravy. My eggs and hash browns come out and I am told it will be 10 minutes on the biscuits and gravy. Really? So I had toast instead. It still cost more than $10 for this meal.

Not impressed with the seating procedure. I waited in line with my son just to have the hostess ask the person behind me how many were with her party. Completely disregarded me. It was a bummer because I was really looking forward to eating there.

Great food, new place, just fits the 60s style true diner feel. Im very glad they took the time to open this place and fits well for the neighborhood. Omelet and pancakes are great, and th potatoes are southwestern style goodness!

Nice, small little diner with homestyle food and desserts. Would go here again BUT if the parking lot is full chances are that there is no seating available and the building is small so be prepared to have to wait outside.

By far the best local breakfast stop, my fiancé & I typically go every other Sunday to enjoy something new on the menu. There hasnt been a thing we didnt like that weve had. Awesome place for some homestyle cooking!

The chicken strips were amazing. My husband doesnt usually like pancakes, but he loved these. The coconut pie was so fresh with lots of flavor, had to resist ordering seconds. The salad was great too.

Classic plates as well as Greek favorites is what you can find here. Cant go wrong with the chicken fried steak. Busy spot, so you may have to wait but totally worth it. Definite go to on my list.
