Tried this place for the 1st time today on July 16th 2017 and it was the worse chinese food i have had. I can personally make my own chinese food and it will have been 10times better than theirs i just dont have an oven in my hotel room. The appearance of the food besides the fried rice looked like it was gonna be worth your buck but NOPE. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with an egg roll and fried rice. The chicken was bland and the actual chciken inside were tiny it was mostly all batter, the egg roll was ok i think the best thing out of my meal, and the fried rice was just horrible. When we saw it we couldnt tell if it was white or fried rice. It was overcooked and didnt taste anything like fried rice or look like it. I will NEVER go back to this place or recommend it to anyone. Itll just be a waste of your money and time.

I have a new favorite Chinese Restaurant!Service was fast and very friendly. About the food: Hot Sour Soup and Egg Drop Soup were so flavorful! Kung Pao Chicken was out of this world delicious, great little kick of the spicy side! The Orange Chicken was fantastic!al, sweet and savory and the broccoli was cooked prefect and a little crisp. We came back for a 2nd trip two days later...same great service! Cashew Chicken, Pepper Beef, and Combination Lo Mein...all were wonderful. As a side note, the hot tea was amazing; it is very deep and a little dark in flavor just right if you ask me. Overall this place just made my list of favorites! Dont miss this if you want GREAT Chinese!

BE Aware of this place. We ordered the lunch special from them 0n 10/28/2014. They gave us a total of 7.25 later when the person came to deliver they charged us $13.00 when owner called to find out why he was charged double. They told us min order is $13 for delivery which was never mentioned on the call. When we called to see if they would make things right. Owner was rude and said its too late and hung up the phone. As a business owner i have a suggestion for them i would keep the customers that they have because if they behave this way they will not be in the business long. We will never order from them again.

I would put 10 stars if I could. .Been going here since I was like 4 years old when they where at there old location back in the 80s. ..best Chinese food in the DFW area two thumbs up for me. I havent been in 5 years I decided to stop on by yesterday glad I did ....I forgot how amazing there food is and the Hot n Sour Soup is the Best ever.Im not going to any other Chinese food place ever again Im sticking with Haltom Chinese for now on.And the prices are cheaper then anywhere else around here makes it even better. :) Be back soon

I just live a couple of blocks from the restaurant and have been there often. But i never go through the bill once i pay but one fine day i found that the owner had over charged me for hot souce. I was soo upset and checked all my previous bills to see each and every time they have over charged me atleats 2$. I dont have any complains about the food. But watch out people before u pay the bill.I will never ever recomend anyone to go there. Besides there are better chinese food around the area! Dont let them cheat u!

Tried Haltom Chinese for the first time in two years after getting home I found the portion size to be smaller than it used to be also they forgot my egg roll. I saw several reviews about customers being over charged I also experienced this problem several years ago when they tried to charge me twice for a take out order. Other wise the food is good but not worth the negative experience.

The food at Haltom Chinese restaurant is the best around. I moved to Texas 17 years ago and have eaten at this restaurant for 17 years. Everyone that has come to visit me LOVE the food as well. They talk about it all the time and wish there was one in Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, and Georgia to name a few. Try it....youll like it!!!!!

Was very disappointed! Would go there on a regular basis 99 2000. Went there couple of weeks ago and the food was different although the Menu was the same. Eggs rolls were not fresh made. Fried Rice seemed store bought. Seems as this Family is now taking shortcuts and charging a premium price. $18 of disappointment.

i think the "5 star" reviews are fake because this place is HORRIBLE all the way around... dont waste your money! much better Chinese food in the area! and that Jj Rodriguez clown... you either work there or love eating nasty old food! as for their "house made" food... thats a joke

I ordered my normal dish last night and my food was cold. After reheating it up (or at least to where I can eat it) I ate the food. About 2 hours later I got food poisoning and it was terrible. The food was delicious and I got is super fast. I just got super sick after eating it.

I recently moved from Arlington and was looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area...disappointed tonight. Delivery was prompt but the food was bland and run-of-the-mill, definitely not worth the high prices. I was even charged a fee to use my debit card! Wont be back.

Excellent Cashew Chicken, Sweet Sour Chicken and Roast Pork & Vegetables. Very nice staff! 3 drinks and left with 3 egg rolls from takeout for $32 total before tip! Came Sun 7:30pm, place was busy, staff handled everything very professionally. Glad we found this place!

I have been eating here and getting food delivered for 7 years. It is a good place to eat and the owner is very nice. Prices are modest and servings are very good size. I love the house fried rice and House Lomein. And no, this is not a fake rating.

Been going here since 1995 The Best Szechuan beef Ive had. Very fresh, very fast, very friendly. A cozy hole in the wall but the food is delish! One of my favorite chinese places of all time. YES PLEASE

Just came home to enjoy our order and it tastes reheated and poor. Probably the worst Chinese food we have ever had. Service there was great very nice and welcoming but the food is not great at all.
