Despite my love for tacos, I somehow never made it to the RiNo Los Chingones so I was very pleased when I discovered one had opened up just a block from where I live. The boyfriend and I finally moseyed on over last weekend before a play. The restaurant has a very industrial feel with exposed duct work and metal looking chairs. But then it has splashes of color like striped booths and wall graffiti. Its a fun marriage of styles that you dont usually see in DTC. We werent too hungry (I mean, it was 5:30 on a Saturday) but I got the lamb neck taco and the red chili pork taco. They were both a little spicy, which I enjoy! The meat was perfectly tender on both. The boyfriend got the beef cheek taco. It had green chili on it so he said it had a little kick as well but didnt overwhelm the flavor of the meat. The house salsa was a good mixture of smooth and chunky. I dont like overly chunky salsa so I thought it was perfect. They bring a water pitcher/bottle to your table so you can refill your own glass, but almost every time they walked by they would go ahead and top us off. I opted for a poma loma instead of the basic marg. It was yummy but the glass was small and there was a lot of ice so it lasted about 2 and a half gulps. Ill probably get it again but only during happy hour. Its exciting to have a fun, unique place in DTC, especially one I can walk to. I forsee myself becoming a happy hour regular. Especially since I plan to try every taco they have. You know, just so that I can give a proper recommendation to others.

Really good experience, service was fast for how busy it was. I would not suggest sitting inside if you have any kind of anxiety at all though its very closed in feeling and crowed everyone was way too close together, music was too loud. HOWEVER a manager came over to see how we were doing when we sat down inside and we asked to go outside which they did for us and it was a whole different experience outside much more laid back, not too loud, everyone was not too close together though the tables should be almost twice the size to fit all the food and drinks! The Food was really good I was very surprised at how good, everything was fresh and tasty I tried 3 tacos all of which were excellent and my Wife said she had one of the best Tamils she has ever had. Their house Margerettas are bomb for sure and at the end of the meal they brought us out fresh baked cookies which was both unexpected and really good! I would highly suggest this place.

Nice new trendy addition to the Tech Center. It has an industrial feel in the bar area and low lit, more romantic booth settings on the other side. We got there for happy hour (4-6pm) and they have excellent pricing. Pig Nachos $5, and $2 tacos. We tried the nachos (4/5 - loaded up well), two of the tacos (pulled pork 3/5, lamb neck 5/5) and the Chile Relleno (2/5 - tasted bland, no goat cheese as described, breading crunchy but oily). They do have a raw bar (makes sense since they are part of the TAG restaurant group) and I would be interested to try their sashimi, and the oysters but it would be neat if they added some oysters to HH. You can get their house Margarita skinny for an extra $2. Ive had better food at more more authentic Mexican restaurants, but I still give 4 stars for the great service and atmosphere. 5 stars easy if they incorporate some of their raw bar menu items into HH.

Happy Hour, happy hour, happy hour. $5 handmade margs, or get a pitcher for $24. They also offer various apps and tacos. The pork nachos have plenty of protein, texture and fat to make it hard to share even though you pry should and they make margaritas taste even better! My favorite menu item is the Chile Relleno, delicately fried stuffed with goat cheese, it has never disappointed. The location in DTC is surrounded by condos and apartments but still has a great vibe. Unfortunately the hours, as of now to not include options for lunch, so if you are working in DTC dont try or you will be met by shuddered doors. Instead swing by before catching the Denver Light Rail home (just a 2 minute walk from Bellevue Station stop) and enjoy gratis chips and salsa, with a margarita and one of the scrumptious happy hour food selections.

Not going to lie - i walked in and wanted to not like the place. Trendy atmosphere with loud music. But the service and food was amazing. Our waiter, Michel, was on point. Brought us hot chips as soon as we got low and had great descriptions of the beer on the menu. The food was killer. Salsa flight was a great idea ($4 for 3 flavors) and dont miss out on the chingones guac with rattlesnake chorizo ($9). We shared the enchiladas ($11) - the cheese ones had a perfect smokiness and i love they do a red and green so you get both flavors of their sauces. At the end, we were served fresh out of the oven cookies (on the house). The sweet gooey was the perfect compliment. Will def be back!!

The great - chips and veggie cheese dip. It tasted amazing. Didnt want to eat snake meat, so we opted out of the rattlesnake option. The good - tacos were just OK, not great. They cant hold a candle to Machette in Cherry Creek or downtown. Margaritas were pretty decent as well. They carry Mexican coke in glass bottles with real sugar. The bad - waitress went from super cool to complete *&^*^&% right around the time she brought us our tacos. She had one of the orders wrong - we didnt make a big deal, we didnt ask for a new taco, nothing at all, but her interaction with us after that was minimal and smile-free. Come to think of it, I am regretting tipping her 20+%.

Ive only been here twice, but... Its great. Its amazing. I love this place. Whenever Im in the area, I link up with a coworker and show up for lunch. The happy hour is just money. The chips and salsa that they bring out when you first sit down... Fantastic. That salsa is just incredible and I find myself constantly wanting more. The tacos, and Ive had all variations but one or two, are outstanding. Ill definitely be coming back. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes Mexican food. I will most definitely be bringing more friends here. Keep at it, guys!

Not "Mexican" food at all. Little, over priced portions with no sides. They charge for chips & salsa. Small tables and where they sat us was connected to the bar, kitchen and restroom. I kept getting shoved from behind by everyone passing. My girlfriend ordered the lamb tacos and chipped her tooth on a bone chunk. The waiter said he would take care of it, but NOTHING was taken care of. We had to ask the waiter to order food and hardly had any service. Overpriced, worst place Ive ever ate in Denver. Never again.

Overpriced Drinks, Average food at best. Uncomfortable bar seating. I honestly expected better from Troy Guard, When you win the "Best Chef in Denver" it sets the bar a bit High. Cocktails are $12 each and not really mindblowing. Steak was dry and the tacos were kind of bland and flavorless. Music didnt seem to fit the vibe in the place either... bass heavy and overly loud so it was tough to have a conversation. I dont think I would recommend this location to anybody.
