Excellent sushi (always fresh) and great service This restaurant is one of my regular lunch haunts, but I had dinner recently and was again very impressed. Even when they are busy, service is always prompt; one thing they never lack is sufficient wait staff. For lunch, its wise to come before noon for fastest service, but even after noon, its usually not that hard to get a table. I think they do most of their business at lunch because its always busy then; when I was there for dinner there were no more than half the tables occupied at most. But the turnover was pretty good (there were plenty of patrons, unlike many lunch-oriented oriental restaurants that always seem deserted in the evening); I was there for about 2 hours and it was a steady stream, both for sit-down and at the sushi bar. Its a fairly large place; they have some nice private rooms, which we enjoy at lunch with business groups of 8-10. RECOMMENDED

Im an avid sushi lover and when I moved to Fair Lawn I was mostly excited to live walking distance to a sushi resturant. However my 3 experinces have sadly been a waste of money ! Last night for example I ordered a special spider roll, it was suppose to have shrimp tempura, salmon and mango. After the first two rolls I noticed a very ill like crunch and when I looked it was the tail of the shrimp rolled in tempura flakes; the rest of the other 4 rolles where the same :( In a previous occasion my friend also a sushi lover and I ordered dinner we both had seaweed salad which tasted extremly fishy and not fresh. after these experiences I much rather drive to Matsuya in Saddle Brook.

Used to eat here a few times a week since it was near my office. Good for an inexpensive bento lunch -- the katsu in particular can be good. For actual sushi though, in my view there are several better alternatives within a 10-minute drive. Service is sometimes slow and lacking, and order accuracy is poor. My friend consistently had to have rolls sent back because they didnt match her order. Was also given edamame with caterpillar larvae inside three days in a row (harmless, but still disgusting) and Ive never gone back since. There are just better options nearby.

I had the spicy girl roll, chicken yaki udon and yose nabe soup. The roll was good and I was very happy with it. The entrees from the kitchen had no flavor. The salad dressing did not have any flavor either, disappointing. I will try the sushi again but will not be trying anything from the kitchen.

I would give 5 star but service is not very good. Another thing is I been getting sushi takeout for 4 year! And i never got extra soy sauce or spice mayo for no extra charge. They charge you for everything even if you regular customer.

BEST SUSHI EVER. I go here once a week. Ive been to every sushi restaurant in the area & this 1 is by far the best. Everything is ALWAYS fresh, the prices are VERY REASONABLE. The service is excellent.
