Alright, I usually keep my reviews one or two sentences long, But I feel like this place deserves more. I started off with the Miso soup, which was the best Ive ever had. I then had the cream cheese and crab stuffed jalapenos, and seriously, they were just about the best thing I had ever tasted in my life. I can honestly say that I was sad when I finished the last one. They were fried perfectly golden, the crab was fresh. The jalapenos were distinct but definitely not overpowering. I then had the Alaska roll. Ive been to some seriously expensive places in Dallas for sushi, but this roll blew all others Ive had out of the water. The rice was cooked to perfection. The rolls had the PERFECT inside to rice ratio. The salmon melted in my mouth and tasted like it had been caught just a few hours beforehand. My main dish was the Filet Mignon with Shrimp hibachi. Ive been to many hibachi places over the years. Paying 25 dollars for this same plate. I was literally astounded with this food. The steak was cooked to perfection. It was tender to a point that I couldnt believe. The shrimp was delicious also. Usually hibachi places will overcook the shrimp and they become rubbery. This was definitely not the case here. The fried rice was one of a kind. Best I have ever had. This entire dish only cost 18.50, so I honestly was astounded by the quality of this meal. For dessert we had Strawberry mochi ice cream and the tempura cheesecake. I am not sure if they make the ice cream themselves but the texture and flavor were absolutely to die for. The tempura cheesecake was a new experience for me personally but I definitely enjoyed it the most out of the two deserts. It was fried to perfect gold, just like everything here. The cake was warm yet still held together. Our servers were extremely polite and helpful, genuinely so, not the fake show you get at many other places. All in all, my wife and I will now be regulars at this place. I do not know how it took so long for us to find it. You cant beat the prices and you certainly cant beat the taste.

I dont ever write reviews for restaurants, but Blue Ginger is so exceptional that I feel it would be an injustice not to spread the word. Atmostphere: The restaurant is well furnished and always very clean. The soothing music always playing in the background, in combination with the dim lighting, and warm decor make it feel very relaxing and inviting. Food: Everything Ive tried is excellent. The sushi, the crab stuffed jalapenos, and the habachi plates are all top-notch. Price: For the amount and quality of food you get, the price is surprisingly modest, especially the lunch specials. Im always surprised when I get the check, its never as much as I would expect to pay at similar places. This is perfect place to take a date or just to get some good food for a reasonable price. Its very nice to have such a hidden treasure in Denton.

Blue Ginger is the tiny little sushi place you dont want to tell anyone about; because you want it to be your own little spot. But then you feel convicted because the food is so amazing. The pieces too. Susan and her staff are always welcoming and eager to see how our new baby is doing. Short of having our own chopsticks we feel like we are family. The Tuna Towers are our go to. The value is awesome and the plates look truly towering. Couple that with a ginger dressing on the included salad and onion broth soup and its on! We generally follow that with a few rolls and we always leave feeling stuffed. Do yourself a favor, come here often but invite others sparingly. The last thing we need is to have to share this place!

A friend wanted to take me out for dinner for my birthday, and I did not want the usual hamburger, BBQ, Southern comfort fare. I chose Blue Ginger Japanese Bistro and was not disappointed. The service, decor, and menu selections were outstanding. The food was amazing! I chose the Hibachi Steak which came with a soup selection (I ordered Miso), salad with a delicious ginger dressing, rice, vegetables, and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were delicious! My friend was oohing and aahing over her Udon noodle plate and sushi rolls. The best part was that everything was less than 1/2 the price of my (formerly) favorite Japanese steak house in neighboring Lewisville. We will definitely be back!

There were still crumbs on the table when the waitress seated us. Nice atmosphere and classical music. The miso soup was ok, tasted a bit watered down. California rolls are very good and the cucumber tastes very fresh. Spicy tuna roll was very good. Shrimp tempura roll had too much cucumber and not enough of everything else. I felt a bit cheated on the amount they gave me as well. Spider roll was pretty good.

Fresh vegetables, (absolutely loved the Hibachi grilled veggies served with my scallops) fresh seafood, sushi and sushi rolls and Hibachi steak, chicken and sake, all outstanding. The service is responsive, friendly & capable. Highly recommend Blue Ginger. I suggest you make reservations if there is any sort of occasion such as Mothers/Fathers Day or any group of more than four.

This place is GREAT for delicious and affordable sushi. My friend and I ordered the fried rice meals and I found a shrimp that hadnt been deveined, that was gross. Didnt eat that Everything else was really good. The edamame was fall apart yummy and the rice was flavorful. Pretty average speed from ordering to getting our food. Overall, 4/5 for service and food.

Ive been to this place probably 5 or 6 times and the first time I went and the last time I went were both about the same epically great. I always start out with the jalapeno appetizer which is always consistently good. They have a great fruit wine there as well. The Hibachi filet mignon is probably the best steak Ive ever had in Denton.

This is a very affordable and very fine Japanese restaurant. Im not a sushi person, so I didnt order that, but all the other items on the menu Ive tried are excellent. Not expensive at all. Its just sort of a small place, so be patient if you come at peak time. I was glad we tried, and have been back since!

Love this place! The food is amazing, service is great and prices are very reasonable, especially their lunch specials. They also deliver and dont have a delivery fee-amazing! Also, they are very quick on delivery (always quote 45 mins but get to my house in 20).

Rushed service and mediocre food at exceptional prices. Paper thin tuna tataki served with - not ponzu - something tasting suspiciously like Heinz 57. Rolls are good. Rice is fresh. Ive had better. The experience befits fast food, not the kingly prices.
