Really sorry to have to leave a negative review. I have visited this place on 3 occasions in hopes of getting the same experience that I read from the other reviews. Sadly I have to admit that I didnt see this place in the same light. Unfortunately each time I ordered, the food always took a long time and when it did come out, the meat on each plate was over cooked and crispy at times. I have taken my wife and our 2 kids here all 3 times and have finally decided that this just isnt the place for us. Service was always slow, regardless of the time we went. The food was never what we expected. I can say that the atmosphere is very nice. The open area seems very nice and the over all energy of the place was good. The idea of a non traditional Mexican Restaurant was what we were looking for and this is exactly that kind of place. I cant speak about the drinks as we dont drink around our kids, but overall, it seemed like everyone around us enjoyed them. Again, sorry for the negative review but we have given it 3 chances and the same experience every time. On another positive note, I have noticed that the owner seems to reply to each and every response and review. I find that to be very customer focused and I hope that my review will be looked at in a positive light.

Margs are really good, food is pretty good, service is reliably quick. We make this a usual stop. Update: Margs are becoming inconsistent, some are all booze, some are all ice, some as they should be. Service has been on a slow decline for years and finally is no longer tolerable. Food has always been "pretty good" with the only consistent excellence being the speed at which it comes out. With the latest remodel things are really cramped. Given the other options around town the only reason to go here was the Open Table points and now its just not worth the effort

I love this place. Its usually pretty busy at peak times such as dinner and it can be loud. It may not be the place you go for dinner to catch up, but the margaritas are amazing. I like ordering a straw-light mini. Half the strawberry flavor in a champagne glass. A low carb beverage is ranch water...club soda tequila and I ask for lime juice. The quesadilla is my favorite but nothing bad on the menu. The food always tastes better to me at the downtown and Greeley location..but thats just a me thing. I take all out if town guests here and they love it.

Our favorite Mexican place. The food is always good and the margs are great. I would say that the service kind of went through a dip in quality a while back, but lately weve had nothing but good things to say about the staff, etc. Theyre currently finishing up a big renovation and will soon have a micro brewery next door (Grist, I believe) that they plan to do some collaborative things with... very excited about that.

Good service, very friendly servers. The rice is pretty bland, but the beans are top notch. The tortillas taste hand made and the meat is all high quality. Took 7-10 minutes to get our food on a Saturday at 3pm. They had a lot of staff working the restaurant. Our waiter, Tanner, was very kind and professional. Sign up for the Marg Mob Rewards Club on their website for a free $7 margarita!!

Still a terrible place! I have sworn this place off before but gave it another try since they claim they have improved their food. The menu is limited and overpriced. Still had to try the Margs and even these seem to have gone downhill as they were extremely sweet and syrupy. Slow service and then they tried to charge us for a large guacamole when we ordered the small. Will not return.

The only reason i am giving a 2 is the food is good, if it comes out hot. Dont count on it. The people around us get their food before we do even though we were seated before them. We saw our waitress 3 times and the only time she actually spoke or smiled was after she took payment. Ive given this place a few chances and they just suck. Maybe other locations will be better.

My favorite margaritas, chips and salsa, and green chili. Margaritas are pretty pricey. Wish theyd run more promotions or coupons. Recently walked in at 9:32pm when they closed at 10pm and they wouldnt seat us. They should just post that they are closed at 9:30pm if their hostess is going to turn us away. Lost a star for that.

Probably one of the worst Ive been to the fajitas did not come out sizzling (barely warm...) there was 2 or 3 small peaces of meat onions were not cooked so just utterly disappointing if I could Id give them below one star, I would have! And the plate was loaded with rice and beans, not separate like most fajitas are served!

Ive been going to the Rio for nearly 30 years and I think its great to see how successful theyve become. Their steak marinade is one of the best Ive ever had and the margaritas of course, are great. Im also really impressed by their tequila selection and amazed at how reasonably priced it is. Keep up the great work.

Claimed Chile rellenos had no eggs but there is no way they werent included in the batter. They also claimed the beans were vegetarian friendly but blatantly tasted of pork. The restaurant manager disputed my claims as falsehood but I know what Im eating. Go here if you like eating food that came out of a can.

Been here many times and the service continues to decline. I love their food but waiting upwards of 20 minutes for someone just to take a drink order is poor business. Complained in the past but nothing changes. Walked out for not receiving any service twice. Done going there or holding any further events.

Love it. Its not the best mexican food ever - but its pretty good. The margs are fully loaded - you can taste the tequilla. Dont come here expecting a divine culinary experience - but do come here to get good food, good service, and a good time. Serious people - quit being so critical.

Not the best margaritas, they dont seem to use many limes. Food not authentic and not very good. Seafood enchiladas didnt taste like shrimp or crab, quesadilla was tasteless and chewy and lacking ingredients(got steak and added veggies) burrito came without beans. Server came without service.

The food wasnt to my taste. I ordered a beef enchilada and it didnt have much flavor, the enchilada sauce was very bland. My husband also didnt like it, his burrito was much more flavorful but it had a green chile sauce on it. The best thing we had was the sopapilla for dessert.

The Rio is the best place to go for magaritas, and their food is not bad, though you really should go for the drinks, not the food. The Park Meadows location is large with ample seating, including a great patio area when the weather permits. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Service is soooo slow! We ordered Margaritas and had to wait forever. Waiter came by a couple of times and said they were out of glassware! Took 35 minutes. If you want more than one, order them all at the same time! Ridiculous. 5:30 on Friday. Food took a long time as well.
