I love Tequileños and I have been there countless times. Never have I experienced anything like today. I placed an order for pick up, i wanted 2 single tacos and an order of rice and beans on the side. I went in to pick it up and even though i was told it would take 10 mins it took 30 and the restaurant was empty. Before paying i asked the girl if there was onion and cilantro on the side and she seemed so confused as to why i would need that. I asked if i could get tomatillo sauce and she then said they didnt have any. Like I mentioned earlier I have been in there too many times to know what is on their menu. She finally got me what I wanted then I took a sip of my drink, horchata and it was not sweet at all. I asked if I could get a different drink and she said sure. When she came back I took the lid off the cup and there was still horchata left in there. I was pretty annoyed by this point. I asked if she has used the same cup and she just said "no, no it is a different one." I am not dumb and I can even still taste the water in my dr.pepper. She then charged me, drove away and get home to eat. I find a taco with rice beans and guacamole, another taco with rice beans and guacamole and another order of rice and beans!!!! Not sure what made her think I wanted 3 orders of rice and beans because when I put in the order I said i wanted 2 tacos and rice & beans. I didnt say i want two taco combos and then rice and beans. I am so mad at this girl!!!!! If you are going to work somewhere PLEASE KNOW THE MENU ITEMS!!! I wished I lived closer so I can go back and return all this food and get my money back. I love this restaurant but this girl with red hair needs A LOT more training!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make sure she gets the right training.

Assuming the first 5 reviewers are close friends or family of the owners, I decided to log on and give a real review. My girlfriend & I went there two nights ago. We both had chimichangas with chile rellenos. Most disappointing were the "crispy" rellenos. These were nothing more than store-bought jarred chiles wrapped in the cheapest cheese that can be considered legal in the US, and then breaded and plopped in a vat of grease for 30 seconds. The chiles inside were not spicy or even flavorful, and the cheese was just awful (reminded me of Fazolis lasagna cheese). The chimichangas werent much better. Rather than a true chimichanga with a deep-fried tortilla, these seemed to be meat-stuffed sopapillas. Very odd. However, the flavor itself was just fine, and the beef had good seasoning. The chicken was a basic dark-meat cut but had decent flavor as well. Pro: the serving was very large Con: the food was poor enough that I wouldnt have wanted HALF as much as they gave me. The silver lining, or rather light-grey lining, was the salsa that they gave us with complimentary chips. It had good flavor and a decent spicy kick. Neither of us had mixed drinks, so I cant comment on the quality of their margaritas, but its pretty hard to screw up a margarita even if you are a typical strip mall Mexican joint. For a FAR superior gastronomic experience, try other locals such as Santiagos or La Cueva. Or even Sams #3 which is just down the street.

The people there are great, my husbands parents have been going to the restaurant for so long that the manager and the servers know us and his parents by name. The service is fast, the food is great and always a fun place to be. They used to have mariachi bands play every Friday and sometimes every Saturday, but we havent been there on those days to see if they still do. They have a very large menu. They also have quite a large selection of alcohol. My husbands favorite item to order is the Carne Asada. It is a very large skirt steak along side a generous helping of beans and rice as well a guacamole and Pico De Gillo salsa and 3 tortillas. You have a choice of flour or corn tortillas. They are warm and soft and unlike some other places you are still able to separate the tortillas after a letting them sit in the warmer. They also have a great decorations inside. The theme is set to a tropical Mexico with all the vivid colors and animals of the region. And they now have a just recently opened a sport bart side of the restaurant. It is very nice decorated with a very nice bar, booths and tables. They have put a lot of time and money into making the restaurant a very enjoyable place to eat and it shows in numbers. Great place to go, this is our go to place when we are wanting some really good authentic Mexican food.

Ive eaten at many Mexican restaurants, and this litte place is the best Ive experienced. The ingredients are fresh and homemade. The food and atmosphere is authentic. The quantities are plentiful. The restaurant is family-run, and the staff is very friendly. The slow-cooked pork carnitas is my favorite. Its so tender and flavorful, my mouth waters as I write this. The menu is huge. Everything Ive tried has been excellent. The house margs are just outstanding.. they go down too easily, use caution! For the tequila connoisseur, there are over 100 tequilas! The happy hour is a great deal: 2 for 1 house margs. The warm fresh homemade tortilla chips + salsa, and the spicy cabbage mix are an extra special treat. The cheese they use is extremely tasty (enchiladas, burrito cheese sauce, etc.). For chip dipping, try the (special order) "spicy" cheese dip if you want to crank up the spice a notch. The tamales, cheese enchiladas, chicken chimi, any of the pork carnitas dishes, are my personal favorites. If somehow you still have room, the fried ice cream is out of this world. Bring an appetite!!

I ordered a posole meal,Febuary 3rd 2016,(guacamole sopapillas, and posole)twice from them, and it was so hot, both times, that it melted the lid. The first time it happened posole grease coated the entire inside of the bag, and the guacamole was not added to my order. I called them and was passed to the "manager" Jose. He wanted me to come back in to pick up the quacamole. It is 20 minutes from my house. I declined to waste another hour of my life for a side of quacamole. I told him I would ask for him next time I was in. He assured me that he would take care of the problem when I do. Exactly a week later, February 10 2016, I call in my order as I left work. When I got there I had wait 15 minutes before he tried to skulk by me without being seen. The only thing he was willing to do was to not charge me for the guacamole. Of which I had paid for and not received. He didnt seemed concerned at all that the lid melted, no concern at all. Someone could be SERIOUSLY INJURED. Jose needs to "manage" this problem and fix it!!!
