The honest evaluation- Its Okay.. When we first tried the Jade Garden, we went inside to the buffet. If you decide to do this restaurant that is what I recommend.. The food came out often and fresh, you were able to really see the freshness too before you bit into it and in general, you have the wider selection of all the food. When we tried it the second time however we got take out.. Not the best... Everything fried didnt taste fresh.. The plus side is that the soup, the rice and broccoli chicken (though kind of bland) did. We got egg flower soup and aside from the little bit of eggshell in it, it was pretty satisfactory. The crab Rangoon however was a bit stale and a bit too sweet for my taste (even for fake-crab). All in all, if your really craving Chinese food, this place will hit the spot. The interior looks clean, no mystery "what fell in my dish" questioning and pretty good rice. The downside is that some things taste like they might have been made in the same pan.. very similar tastes and kind of bland.. the other thing is that they are kind of expensive.. But like I said, if youre craving Chinese food, it will hit the spot. Thanks!

My wife and I went to the Jade Garden Sunday night around 8pm. I checked out the buffet which, typical of most poorly run Chinese restaurants, was sorely depleted. I understand their possible thinking that they should let the buffet run out after the dinner rush, but that is flawed thinking. If you want to limit any buffet leftovers at nights end, then END THE BUFFET AT A SPECIFIC TIME! Customers, especially me, are not understanding of scraping the bottom of the buffet pans, just because you close in 2 hours. Therefore, we skipped the buffet and my wife ordered Cashew Chicken and I ordered Kung Pow Chicken. These are our favorite Chinese dishes, and we have eaten at many Chinese restaurants, and I can safely say that these were the worst dishes Ive ever had at any Chinese restaurant. I will never eat there again.

The service was nice. The food was terrible. When we got there the buffet was depleted, but when they brought fresh food out it was still awful. Some stuff was good or edible, but most was barely even edible. Anything breaded, whether pork, chicken etc. was rubbery. When I broke open the breading I could not really even recognize the meat in some cases, lots of breaded cartilage, skin, and or chicken fat and stuff, as if the breading would hide the poor and low quality scraps within. It seemed like the sweet and sour pork was a breaded sows ear just rubbery. I may go again one day, but not for a long time. The make your own dish buffet is cool. Watching them cook your selection through the window is fun, but a cool novelty like that does not make up for rubbery cold inedible food.

My family and I ate here yesterday for my birthday. After the meal (which was decent) we went to pay and the server ran our credit card three times due to some error on the machine. The server assured us that we were not charged three times... EXCEPT WE WERE :( $143 total. And were having an awful time getting our money back. The 2nd time we called, the owner who spoke in heavily accented english (mostly not understandable) said that we werent charged three times and hung up on us. Weve had to contact our bank as well as the merchants payment system to get this resolved. The funds will eventually get released... but the headache of it all. SHAME ON JADE GARDEN FOR TRYING TO RIP US OFF!!!

We went here because the reviews were so awful we just had to try it out! First off, their bacon-wrapped pineapple was godly, and their spring rolls as well as egg rolls were quite delicious. Orange chicken, too. My bbq chicken however, was pretty horrid and rubbery, and the generals chicken was incredibly mediocre. They provided plenty of hot mustard and seeds to dip plenty of fried shrimp/fish in, though! Overall, it was better than made out. If Google allowed half-stars, this would be a 3.5/5.

First, the good. The server was polite and helpful. We came for the first time at noon for lunch buffet. The fried foods were very greasy and the rest of the food was lukewarm. The breaded meats were soggy and tasteless. My wife only made it through half a plate, I managed to get a whole one down but lost it about an hour later. The lukewarm pans apparently make pretty effective petri dishes. We paid $18.50 for two.

The food here was too dry, it seemed like it was sitting out way too long. Hot and Sour soup tasted nothing like Ive ever had before, and not in the good way. One of the waitresses there kept glaring at us, and would speak to us using an overly rude tone. I will not be coming back here again. There is a better, cheaper restaurant like this right down the road.

Went there for the first time and loved their buffet, have a good variety and the amazing customer service, was greeted when I came in, got asked a couple times if there was anything I needed so I didnt feel neglected on service, worth it!! I would recommend it to anyone who likes chinese food also when reading these look at the dates, places can change.

Under New ownership, and it really shows!!! The restaurant is clean, the food choices are spectacular, they now offer sushi on the buffet. The food is always fresh and hot!! They still have the Mongolian BBQ option included with the price of the all you can eat buffet, the wait staff are friendly. We love this place, and will keep coming back.

I am usually no fan of the Chinese buffet. However this was excellent. I cant say enough about the service. Now its a buffet.so waitress dont usually check to make sure you are doing well. In fact they checked on me three times. Refilling my soda twice. So my waitress took great care of me. The food was tasty and really fresh. thanks again

The people were nice, but there were very few vegetarian options and what they served us had almost no flavor whatsoever. We had a ton of leftovers that we ended up just throwing away. Nothing tasted as it should especially the fried rice. It was like they fried the vegetables but not the rice, so weird.

Literally the only decent thing at this restaurant is the waitress. Theyre nice but the food is disgusting. Everythings half cold the meat is grizzle and fat. I bit into a chicken stick and it was pink. The food is gross theres no selection. This isnt worth a dime. I will never be going back.

Jade Garden is the best Chinese buffet in Nampa. My family and I go there almost every week for the past 7 years. They have a large selection of entrees and appetizers. I love the stir-fire bar, I can watch the cook preparing my own meal in front of my eyes, I enjoy eating there!

Food was chewy and cold. Had ice tea couldnt drink it as it tasted like chewing tobacco, litterly. Chicken breading on orange chicken was soggy, Luke warm with lots of fat. Egg rolls were stale and to tuff to bite into. Deserts were old and stale.. will not go back.
