Ditto on the rudeness. I should have read the reviews here before visiting. The prices were a bit difficult to locate, so I had to ask. I took notes, so I could remember. But they quickly seemed to get annoyed at me. In a very unfriendly and intimidating way, this guy who looked and acted like a bouncer demanded to know if I was going to buy anything. I had only been there a few minutes, and barely had time to browse. I thought maybe he didnt like white people. I quickly purchased what I came for and asked him if he had seen the Indian Pakistan cricket match to try to lighten up his mood. He continued to glare at me. I was so shaken up, I forgot all the other things on my list. I am not going back. I certainly would not eat anything prepared by people with this kind of anger and negative attitude. Apna Bazaar - just around the corner - is far friendlier. Cash and Carry has the same Royal Himilayan Basmati rice at a far better price.

There is an incredible selection of Indian ingredients. I went here to find everything I needed when I was learning to cook Indian food. As well as stocking every iteration of spice and type of flour, dal, rice, ghee, oil, etc., there are lots of addictive snacks to choose from, an extensive refrigerated section, even body care products, utensils, and products like incense and henna. There have an array of freshly made Indian desserts in the bakery case and when weve stocked up on everything we can think of for home, we sit and have a delicious and inexpensive meal from the tiny kitchen and watch the incessant Bollywood videos playing in the seating area. I like to buy soap, and stainless steel talis and bowls for stocking stuffers at Christmas. I stock up on my favorite Typhoo tea there, too, which is at least 50% cheaper there than any other import shop in town.

Mamta was quick and efficient in taking my order and deliver freshly made Choola-Bhaturas, Samosas and Kachories. Man, I over ate and slept for the rest of the afternoon since missed such lovely food from North India (careful for high calories in the deliciousness). Im going to be a regular customer from now onward, and recommend this restaurant with grocery store.

I often go there for food. I enjoy their thaali foods. They always taste like home made. Their says are made in house too unlike other restaurants nearby who import it from Washington. Their samosas are better trading than their counterparts. Although I wish they can be little more spicy. Very Friendly service. Overall this place has my appetite business.

I usually dont give bad reviews anywhere. But the owner is super RUDE. 1. We took Kachori and asked to warm it up but she declined. 2. We werent able to finish it since it was cold and asked for to go box with chatani. She said we will charge for chatani with rough tone. She doesnt smile, no welcoming and she will make you embarrassed.

Food is fresh and tastes amazing. Probably the best North Indian food Ive had in the US and I lived in Houston for 2 years. I would highly recommend their buffet. Their paneer is fresh and dal makhani is creamy and flavorful. I also tried their sweets which were also fresh and delectable. This place is 100% vegetarian too!

I wish I can post reviews without any stars, unfortunately google wont allow me to do that. This place is a hygiene disaster with no soap or tissues in the bathroom. You can see flies on the food sometimes. I can go on, but please avoid this place. Apna chat bhavan is better than this place.

The only place weve found in the Portland area with Vada Pav so far but... the vegetables are often not very fresh, the tables are often not very clean, and there are dozens of flies around the snack area and trash. If it was cleaner... it would be 3 or 4 stars.

Its a very good place to have Indian food. I had Amritsari kulcha and paneer kulcha, and it was very tasty and yummy. Also, the price was very reasonable. I never had such a tasty kulcha in Portland area. I really recommend to visit and try this kulcha.

Pricing is really good on their products, but the selection is limited and they often seem to be out of stock on one thing or another. The staff here are really friendly, seem hard working, and do remember faces after a while.

I havent shopped here for groceries, but have ordered a food for takeout. The quality of the food was great - it was fresh and tasty. We asked for no cream or deep frying, which they were able to do without a problem.

Expensive but tasty. If you are expecting. For a sanitary place then this would not be the best. I usually order take out and love their taste. Jilebi, pakora and jamuns are amazing

Worst experience. Amul Ice Cream was spoiled so returned it. Pani pooris smells bad, may be expired. No quality in groceries but price is high. I never recommend this to anyone.

Inexperienced in customer service, they got confused with the orders and put the blame customers. Food is very good but they should learn how to behave with customers.

Rude, yes! Aloo paratha and samosa are reheated Deep brand frozen food. Check the stale colored cilantro inside the paratha that suggests it was not freshly prepared.

The quality of indian sweets are very good . Tast is really authentic. And the best part is all the sweets are made in house (if im not wrong).
