If you live around this area then please check this joint out. This Vietnamese joint is the best overall Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to in Florida (Tampa and Orlando area). The food is absolutely amazing. Im not using any hyperbole when I tell you that everything is ace. I urge anybody and everybody to just try it out. The prices are all priced extremely fair (about $7/entree). They have daily specials that differ every day. They have recently located to this new area because their last was practically a hole in a wall. Since they were jammed packed most of the times, they had to relocate to more spacious building and shopping center (thank you parking). I wish this place was open later then their normal deli hours! If you are unfamiliar with Vietnamese delis then dont expect the servers to constantly be at your table. They usually get you your drink and place your order. You might not see them at your table again. That is how these places work. If you need additional service youll have to either call them over try to make eye contact with an employee. This is not to say that the people who work there are not nice or friendly. Its the opposite. You will get use to it.

Ive been to the deli far too many times to not have written a review yet. They have the best pho in Tampa and so much more. On the days that I dont want pho, I usually get the pork hu tieu which is a noodle soup dish similar to pho but with different broth and you have the option of getting egg or rice noodles (or both). The broth is lighter than pho broth but is full of flavor. I recommend it to those that enjoy a more seafood broth. I always grab a couple of banh mi thit nuong for a quick and satisfying lunch. Pro tip for newcomers: when you go in, dont expect this to be a traditional restaurant style where youre seated by a host. The employees here sometimes wear uniform and sometimes dont. When you walk in, get the attention of a worker and theyll tell you that you can sit anywhere. Service here is pretty fast. Once youre done with your meal, you just pay at the register where theyll ring up your receipt.

Super yummy! Darn this place is extremely reasonably priced and has some pretty darn good Vietnamese cuisine. This is my first visit. I got the Bunhan Mi (sp?) and it was only $3.00 and it was comparable to about an 8 inch sub (basically a pork sandwich). It was made with their barbecue pork and it was loaded with great tasting veggies. I did not deconstruct it but I tasted jalapenos, bean sprouts, mint and cucumber. The interior of the restaurant resembles your basic cafeteria style set up, nothing fancy here but good food. I saw plenty of people getting take out so you can tell they can move a lunch or dinner crowd with relative ease. I will definitely be coming back to this place to sample some more of the items they have on their menu

As a Vietnamese American, the best Vietnamese food you can get is the food from your mothers kitchen. Well, that is what we like to think, or at least I do. Let me begin by saying that my first visit at Saigon Deli began just half a year ago. When you are away from your mothers kitchen, sixty miles away to be exact, there is not much you can do when you are craving a bowl of buon bo hue or pho or are just in the mood for the typical textured Vietnamese sub known as banh mi. After quite a few visits over the past couple of months, I began to realize I did not need my mother or her homemade cooking to satisfy my cravings or hunger, because I had Saigon Deli. If that does not speak to you, then you are missing out my friend.

- This is the authentic Saigon Deli that used to be on the East side of Dale Mabry on Waters, however it changed locations because of a few issues. - Same owner, same excellent, well-priced Vietnamese food. The service is great and the food comes out pretty darn fast during lunch time. - One disclaimer, the seating is somewhat limited and it is packed on the weekend during lunch. I cannot speak for weekdays though. The atmosphere in the restaurant is loud and bustling, but thats typical for these types of places. And, its completely optional, but its open seating and the server may request that another couple or pair sit with you if you dont have the table filled. Enjoy!

Ive tried several Vietnamese restaurants in my life, and this is one of the worst ever. I know it got good reviews for the Banh Mi, but we went for pho and the "veggie" spring fresh rolls. First of all, the spring rolls had iceberg lettuce, noodles, and frenchs fried onions (like the ones on green bean casserole) in them and nothing else. Hardly like any other fresh roll Ive tried. The pho had none of the traditional fragrant flavor of the pho spices, only of greasy meat. The WORST part was on the way out (it was off hours around 2) the owner was there clipping his toenails behind the counter. Can you say disgusting? I wouldnt go here, even if its cheap.

The best in town by far! Packed with Asians and Americans! My wife is Thai and always gets the Pho Bo Vien. I get either the Pork Sub or the Grilled Pork on rice. Grilled pork on rice is my favorite! Dont forget the Boba! Avocado rocks! The owner is there every time we go in. (You will know him when you see him) Great guy, very hands on. the staff is friendly and very helpful to first timers. Ask questions about the menu. They will be very happy to help. As far as price goes, You could buy two of everything and your bill still would not add up to the total of the other popular Vietnamese restaurants in town.- Go early!

Their food is so fresh & full of flavor! Over 20 different flavors of boba! The wraps & salad bowls are SO GOOD! Ive had the lemongrass chicken bowl and it is very filling. Ive also fallen in love with their grilled pork wrap. The flavors are AMAZING! I dont know how they make their food so fast & so fresh & so tasty! Theyre faster than fast food but HEALTHY. I feel satisfied and food after eating here. Weve dropped by for a quick take out & also come with groups. Its a bit small & always crowded so getting a table for a group can be a challenge & youll have to wait but it is so worth it!

Always went here when I was in town and I always get the pho, but decided to try something new today and went with the bun Bo hue. Three hours later Ive just started the worst case of food poisoning Ive had in years. They are probably the only good Vietnamese food place in the immediate area, but dont trust what they dont sell allot of, it will probably not be clean and you roll the dice of getting sick. (Pin pointed the source cause, because we were with a party and only myself and another friend that ordered the BBH were left to suffer digestion hell)

Place is always packed during lunch... they also do not open late. Food was great! Flavor was spot on... a lot of items to buy for carry-out as well. The Banh Mi here is pretty good compared to all the other places around Tampa. The Mi noodles could have a lot of other traditional things in it like liver, crispy pork fat, etc instead of the premade fishballs. It still tasted great though. The best thing about this place is that it is very very inexpensive... food prices are similar to Cali joints circa early 2000s. Will definitely return!
