I am absolutely delighted that we finally have an Indian place, and a GOOD one, in Wilsonville! My boyfriend and I went to dinner there on a Tuesday evening, and were immediately struck with the ambiance and delicious smells. The wait staff was attentive, but not overly so, they were great at refilling water quickly and brought us some complimentary papadums as soon as we ordered. They dont have their liquor license yet, so we just had water to drink. We ordered garlic naan, lamb korma and the shahi biryani. The lamb was cooked well and the korma sauce was great, better made than the korma sauces Ive had at the average indian restaurant. It was good enough that we brought all of the extra sauce home to eat with naan! The garlic naan was pretty good, but not the best Ive ever had - Id have liked the garlic cooked a bit more, and the naan with a bit more crispness. That was probably my least favorite part of the meal, Ill probably opt for regular naan next time. My boyfriend liked it a lot and would get it again. The real standout dish is the shahi biryani! It is a biryani (meat cooked in rice with spices), and the shahi biryani comes with a variety of meats: lamb, chicken, and prawns according to the menu. Every meat was cooked really well. The lamb was tender but not over-done. The chicken was really tender and showed it had been slowly cooked. The prawns werent over-cooked, and had a lovely oil-crisp finish. And there was also tofu, which hadnt been mentioned on the menu, and it was cooked perfectly for tofu - little fried squares that were crisp on the outside and moist inside. It was perfect! They also had the spices perfect. Id been having stomach issues, so opted for less spicy than usual - between mild and medium (thinking that like most indian restaurants their spice scale would go pretty high). It was perfect - spicy enough to be interesting, but not so spicy I couldnt taste the spices and I wasnt having to constantly drink water or eat rice to keep my belly happy. You should definitely check this place out - we will be going back many times!

Randomly walked in to this restaurant a few days ago. Found out they have just recently opened. The chef, Mr. Singh personally came to talk to us. The decor and ambience of the restaurant was as welcoming as the hosts. The food was impeccable. In an age, where most Indian restaurant dishes look and taste the same (orange colored gravy with cream), Mr Singh cooked up 4 different dishes. Each dish was better than the one before. The aroma and spice levels were absolutely perfect. I will definitely go again to try out all the other dishes. UPDATE: Since my initial visit, have visited here about 5 times and it has been a hit or a miss. The same dish ordered tastes amazing on one visit, and is made completely differently in the next one. Lack of consistency makes it difficult to judge whether I absolutely love this place or not. Also a little pricey. Their staff and service has always been good otherwise.

I have lived in the PDX area and have tried most, if not all, the Indian restaurants this side of the rIver. This place is the worst of the lot. . Missing cutlery and bowls. Dirty bowls when provided. . There was a pile that looked like pakoras but it was just a pile and gross looking. Stayed away from it. . Naan was under cooked . Chicken soup was floating in oil!!!. Chicken tasted raw. . Tandoori chicken was a hit or miss. . Raitha was watery. . Gulab Jamun was something else. It looked the part but tasted something else. I think they were from a can. . We had a couple of flies for company. . We were there on Sunday for lunch and the $ paid was not worth it imho. Good: . Waiter was attentive . Dal and vegetable kurma were not bad. . Vegetable rice was not bad. Will not be back. There are better (than one star) Indian restaurants I can shell my $ to. YMMV for your visit. Mine was terrible.

Honestly one of my favorite venues in Wilsonville. The price is exceptional, especially for the quantity. I read some of the reviews, and I would love the opportunity to find out where their complaints have come from. I eat a RIDICULOUS amount of take out, and honestly, these guys treat me like family every time. My wife and I went in to grab some take out, and they gave us food to snack on in the meantime and poured us a couple glasses of wine to drink...on the house. We go maybe once a month, but not enough for that level of hospitality. They regularly let me sample whatever I wish from the buffet as well to help me decide. This is one of the most hospitable dining places I have ever been. It is a true pleasure. These people will make your dining experience incredible if you give them a chance. And you should...

Ive been here 4 times in the last 10 weeks (buffet each time). the food is okay, the last 3 times the food has been very salty. I found one container on the buffet (far back, right container) was not keeping the food warm I told an employee, who seemed older and more in-charge than the others about it, he only offered to get me something fresh from the kitchen and didnt understand the heating source wasnt working, a few weeks later on my 4th visit the same container had less than room temperature food in it. Today I had to ask for water and more plates at the buffet area, service could improve a bit. Raita has a different taste every time I go. The naan was delivered fresh to the table the first and second time I ate there and it was very good, the 3rd and 4th visits no naan delivery.

I will start by saying that the host is very friendly and the place is well lit and plenty of room. The food is good as well, but... 1) the grilled chicken my wife kept getting was under cooked both times she went back. 2) very little options for the lunch buffet. The Tikka Masala was made with fish rather than chicken and its not your usual rich and creamy sauce. 3) THE NAAN was not readily available! All of the East Indian buffets weve gone to would have this available in the buffet line. When you ask for some they give you like 4 pieces and the second time 2 pieces. I can say I wont be coming back here again. Ill just hit up Swagat in Beaverton (or Orenco Station) or Abaruchi in Beaverton.

My husband and I brought our two small children [ages 4 & 2] for dinner, really great place for a family! They were attentive to our needs, very helpful and understanding while trying to select items from the menu that would suite young developing palets. My kiddos loved the Alu Gobi [a mild potato cauliflower curry] my husband and I thought the Lamb Vindaloo was amazing! We will be making this a regular choice for family outings :)

In the most unlikely of ways they have forced me to try new things (while my order was wrong I take it on myself for not double checking a Togo order). I always order the same thing (mainly because I know what it is) but when I got home and saw a totally different dish I thought, well shoulda checked and I hope its good... Needless to say the food is absolutely amazing... I just wish I knew what it was for future reference.
