TLdr: Fine (as in ok) local spot. The place is located in a stripmall next to kmart and not impressive from the outside, but immaculately clean and inviting inside. I had the lunch buffet which is a great value, costing pretty close to the same as a trip to 5guys or a little more than chipotle. I had a minced lamb curry, naan, korma, and some chickpea curry thing i never remember the name of. The lamb was the highlight though not the type of boldly flavored dish you expect of an entree from an Indian place. The korma base was good, although i agree with a previous reviewer that something about the green beans (and lima beans?) seemed to make the dish feel inauthentic (although perhaps its just the quality, i doubt they were fresh). Gulab jamun and banana pakora were disappointing. Pakora was bland/unseasoned and the gulab jamun tasted more like a dinner biscuit with a little syrup then the diabetes inducing honey/syrup drenched treat i look forward to. I dont expect much from a lunch buffet, so i wasnt too disappointed. Place was clean, staff friendly, and I had a second helping of the lamb curry and chickpea. I wouldnt go out of my way to go here (see Swagat in Beaverton for that!), but its a perfectly fine lunch spot if you live nearby. It was good enough that im going to give the non-buffet menu a try, and give it a chance to earn a fourth star.

My husband and I have gone here several times now and really like the food. However, this past time it was busy and we had to wait for a table to be cleaned up before we were seated. The host asked us to go ahead and start getting our food while they cleaned up a table. When my husband walks back to the table, it is still dirty (although the dishes were cleared) and no silverware or water yet. So my husband starts to sit at the other table they DID clear, clean and had water ready but he host loudly said "no!" and seated the couple that came several minutes AFTER us (they are Indian, we are not) there instead. He tried sitting us down at the table that was still dirty and without water or place settings. Even the younger waiter told the host not to seat us there yet because it was still a mess! So we had to stand there with our plates of food while the nice young waiter quickly cleaned up our table but the couple who came way after us sat comfortably at their nice clean table. It was obvious favortism (dare I say "racism"?) and really makes me think twice about going there again. However, the younger waiter treated us well and was very polite and apologetic for the obvious mistreatment so we may give it another chance. Next time I will insist we get the first table cleaned up...

Im sad to see all of the one-star reviews for this fantastic restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic, though not as spicy as Im used to seeing from curry. Options are plentiful, and are replenished often, meaning theres never a lack of options. The drinks are included, and theyre one of the few restaurants in town to proudly serve RC cola. The lighting is largely natural, with huge windows on two sides, and there are plenty of tables, with tons of space to bring an entire work group. The menus are imbedded in the tables, meaning youre never without a menu, and the staff is friendly. All together, this is my favorite Indian restaurant in the Portland Metro. The lack of a fifth star is for the lack of an accessible facade. The door is very narrow, so power chairs or even wider wheelchairs may not be able to access it. Though standard width chairs should fit fine.

Ive eaten at a total of four Indian restaurants and had homemade Indian at a Hindu temple last year so while I dont have a huge amount of experience I can say of all the Indian food I have eaten, Abhiruchis is my favorite. The restaurant interior shows its age; its very low key and casual (no carved tables or chairs here). The service is courteous and prompt, the prices very reasonable (the buffet is an amazing deal) and the food is always tasty. I have never had an exceptionally "spicy" dish so if you like that, you might need to ask for it special. I particularly love their Chicken Saag, Saag Paneer, Chicken Makhani and my partner always gets a lamb dish. The Lamb Samosa are awesome... the naan... the Tandori. Really, everything Ive eaten there has been delish! I would recommend trying their lunch buffet, they really excel at it.

No way this place gets good marks. The dining room looked clean and thats impressive considering all the plastic flowers everywhere. Plastic plants collect dust but i couldnt see any dust, so that gave me hope. Unfortunately, the sever didnt really know the menu; he didnt know what 3 beers they serve were like. I asked for a darker ale and I got served a lager, pretty much the opposite of an ale, eh? The beer was bottled and tasted fine, then all the food came and he didnt/couldnt explain what everything was. Then again, it was all microwaved goo, so i suppose it wouldnt make much difference. It all had dull colors, mushy, bland. The flavors that they are going for have potential; the spices and dishes could be great. Its sad in here, I want good Indian places around and it is too bad this place isnt one of them.

A good sign is that it was empty on a Saturday night at dinner time... Server was awful and he wasnt even busy!! Had to walk up ourselves and grab a pitcher to refill our water. Appetizer was delicious but as far as price value... Awful. $5 for 2 tiny pieces of samosa? Food was great... Lots of variety and authentic tasting. But we both bought the dinner which comes with desert and as soon as they saw we were using our entertainment book coupon, they didnt give it to us. Sad because instead of gaining regular customers... We will probably never be back. We use our book to try new places and this one failed to make us happy. Just goes to show even if the food is great, service still means everything!

The lamb saag was tasty. The lamb samosa had ok flavor, but was filled with nothing but flavored lamb, no small bits of potato or carrot. The "pastry" in the samosa was more like a fried wonton in texture and was a pyramid shape that was a little tough to eat. I also had the garlic naan. Definitely not enough of a garlic flavor for me. No visible garlic on the naan, must have used a garlic flavored butter or oil instead. Overall, it was alright. No big complaints just didnt wow on anything. I ordered through ddish, so I might order again but will probably try some of the other Indian places on the list first.

The service was horrible! From the moment we walked in we felt unwelcome. The server promptly informed us to order quickly. He left for a minute and came right back before we could even look at the menu. Then he told us he wasnt taking dinner orders anymore and we had to order alacart. The food came out quick but it looked and tasted like it was rushed. There was none of the flavor it should have had. He then started spraying cleaner all over the tables around us. And even sprayed AROUND our table while we were eating. He did the same to the other customers eating too. We will not return.
