Went here with some friends for dinner, We had a party for 10, we ordered our food got our drinks, but some people didnt get what they ordered or didnt get their appetizer before there meal. My fiance ordered fried rice instead of steamed rice, he never got his fried rice, my friend sitting next me ordered an order of Crab Ragoons but didnt get them till after her meal, Service was ok we got our food got refills on water cause its the only thing on the menu that you can a refill on, but never once they they come check on us to ask if everything was or even how our food tasted, I have had better Vietnamese food at other Vietnamese Food places for cheaper and even better tasting, the food here is mediocre the Pho broth is bland it doesnt not have any taste to it. We finished our food and went up to pay at the counter, we all paid separately our bill came out to 38 and some change but then the lady gave us the true total which was 44 dollars and some change so we asked how did it go from 38 to 44 and she said there was a 15% gratuity charge, how is ok for you to charge some one a 15% gratuity charge when "The Service" was mediocre, You make customers play at the counter, and to top it off the 15% gratuity is not even listed on your menu or your menu online (and yes I checked). Also I have been here previous times and only once I got sick, but I decided to give this place another try, and yet again I got sick from eating here. Maybe I will this place another try but for now I will stay away.

Moral of the story- the good food out weighed the bad service-for me anyway. I ordered the spicy shrimp curry and it was really tasty. Not so much on the spicy, it had a little kick but if you advertise spicy I feel like I should be leaving with my sinuses cleared! The onions were a little underdone, not raw but definitely crunchy. The flavour was spot on and for a lunch entree it was quite filling. I actually had half left over. Now for the huge downside to eating here-the service. Cheese and rice these people are pretty darn rude. Its as if you are bothering them by wanting to dine in their establishment. They reach across you to refill your water (when it doesnt need it), they "auction" off your order instead of remembering who ordered what, and good luck trying to get something once your food hits the table. You pretty much dont exist to them at that point...not that you ever did..until you pay the check that is! They didnt bring the check to us, we had to walk up to the register to pay. Oh! That is one bright side. We had a party of 9 and there was no issue what-so-ever with splitting checks. We each told them what we ordered, paid for that and bounced.

Food is moderate. But the service is absolutely awful. Most of the waiters dont speak English very well, in which case they have to grab someone from the kitchen who does and translate your order in their language. I dont mean to discriminate, for Im an immigrant myself, but if one of the most important parts of your job is to have the ability to speak and listen to English well and youre not very competent at it, then you shouldnt be qualified to have that job. Its very frustrating for us customers to not be able to communicate with the waiter. Oh and last but not least, they took over 30 mins to serve me my meal and when it was finally placed in front of me on the table it turned out to be the wrong dish... the waiter gave me someone elses order!

Never mind. They sold it and now its just a barely average Chinese/Korean food place. All the specialties we used to love are gone. We wont go back. The one place we make sure to eat when were in Reno. Its not fancy, but its clean and comfortable. Although they are often very busy, we have never had a grumpy server, just very, very busy ones. Food is excellent, prices are good. We always order too much food, but thats why you get a little fridge for the room right? Well be there this Sunday or Monday. Already trying to decide what to order (besides Walnut Prawns, thats a given).

the worst customer experience Ive ever had. these people ate so discrimate against Asians even though they are Asians themselves. there were two Asian groups on the waiting list to be seated, yet when a Caucasian customer walked in, they were serviced first. I asked the owner if that is how they do business. she said it was a mistake. I told her that it was not a mistake because we were standing there for at least 20 minutes. the waiter did not even bother to look at the waiting list before seating customers. these low life are a disgrace to the Vietnamese community.

Golden flower has over 100 options of dishes and counting. Recently theyve added an entire new Chinese menu on top of their Vietnamese offerings. I would give Golden flower 10 out of 5 stars for the food but as a whole it can only get 4. It is pretty loud during lunch and dinner rush and the staff seems to get overwhelmed. It can be difficult to grab the attention of the wait staff at these times; however, this place cannot be beat when it comes to authentic Vietnamese food and drink. Try the preserved lemon soda and the the cold noodle dishes, you wont regret it.

I ate here again and ordered my regular fare # 51 Bun thit nuong cha gio (Flame broiled pork with imperial rolls over vermicelli rice noodle) I have to say I was really disappointed it was awful? I think they were training a new cook? they did not charge me I would give this place a much higher rating but they are ala carte and prices are a bit higher IE...... King buffet gives you more for your buck Like others say this is a good place for late night fare Attract a lot of college crowd I wanna be seen using my device while i eat places

Maybe not the best pho in Reno, but its my favorite place to go late at night. Their food is delicious, the prices are OK (the late night menu is awesome) but they recently renovated the inside and its pretty nice. The only time I had a problem was when I ordered won ton soup, they forgot to include the won tons! It was for take out so when i got home I just ended up having broth (which was pretty good anyways haha). Their menu has a lot too. pho to sweet and sour chicken. Id definitely recommend for a cold day!

Ive eaten here many, many times. The waiters are curt with me too (Im not Asian, there seem to be a lot of one star ratings on here from Asian customers complaining about discrimination). I dont care about the service without a smile. If I dont get my pork and roll vermicelli when Im passing through Reno I cant make it to Cali. Ill go here every time Im in town. EVERY TIME, without fail. The owner guy is VERY nice by the way. Hes usually at the registrar. Seriously. Best vermicelli Ive had anywhere:
