I own a house one street over, am ,64 years old Boston Born and Bred and have frequented MANY Boston Bars because Im also a Musician who plays GREAT Rock and Roll thus over the years Ive seen MANY Beautiful Ladies ! But The Banshee TRULY AMAZES me. Since I live so close I ALWAYS see MANY, MANY not just Beautiful Young Women sometimes WAITING to get in but theyre also IMPECCABLY Dressed, NOT Cheap Dressed Young Women ! Ive been in a few times during the day for a quick one and I HAVE to say THIS Small yet VERY conducive with a great atmosphere is one of THE NICEST Pubs Ive EVER been in and Ive travelled Europe extensively both for Work and visiting Family. In short The Banshee IS One in a Million place to go for a Wonderful time ! And I havent mentioned the GREAT Sports Attraction !!! NO Dissapointment Guaranteed !!!

lunch recently, interesting place with lots of big screen tvs with soccer and lot of soccer fans cheering on the teams, some different irish beers and ciders, on the weekends brunch goes to about 12:30 but no one seemed to know so we sort of waited for the lunch menu....small salad was that but it was very good, the pub burger was great and cooked as ordered, the fish and chips flaky and good, fries were ok, service was pleasant and they were pretty busy as there were a lot of soccer fans there....interesting place in dorchester!!

The Banshee is a nice Irish-American pub in Dorchester with multiple TVs playing European soccer games. The Gaelic fries that they serve are insanely delicious. They come with bacon, cheese and ranch sauce. Highly recommended. Service is a bit curt but expected for an Irish-American pub. Note: This might be a Scottish pub due to the overwhelming amount of Celtic soccer team paraphernalia hanging on the walls, but its referred to as an Irish pub online.

We had just arrived in Boston on a Sunday Evening after traveling from PA. We were staying nearby, and wanted to eat. We enjoyed our experience and the staff was welcoming. Food was very good, we had a burger and buffalo mac and cheese. We enjoyed our experience that we went back the next evening to watch the Womens World Cup match and for drinks.

not a very friendly place for minorities. I was the only person in their of color. (im black) Lol first time I went there I got a lot of stares and took forever to get a drink. And when I finally did get my drink I got a look like drink up in leave! idk maybe I went there on the wrong night.

Neighborhood bar not so much. A tab for three of us neighbors had 2 more beers added for each of us on top of what we had actually ordered/ drank. At 6 bucks a draft its already stealing then the 6 added drafts!! Shady at best and another reason why neighborhood folks steer clear.

Grew up in Southie, been in most of the bars in Boston, and The Banshee is absolutely right at the top. Been going there for seven years regularly and have never seen someone thrown out, let alone a fight. Staffs great, foods good, owners keep the place up. Check it out.

For an Irish pub it has fantastic food and a great beer selection. Many great TVs. Short walk from the JFK/UMASS Stop on the Red Line. Only draw back is parking is kinda dodgy as theres only on-street but its worth it as the food is really good.

A true Irish bar in a true Irish neighborhood in Dorchester. Based on its proximity to U Mass Boston can draw a young crowd. Thursday Kareoke night can be a blast when people get into it. Traditional irish pub fare. Good bar to watch sporting events.

If you are looking for anything Irish related this is the pub to go to - music, food, sports. Karaoke on Thursday nights and usually a great crowd. If you are looking for a fun but casual night definitely a place to check out in Dorchester.

Decent food, friendly staff (and clientele), TVs everywhere showing just about every sport thats transmitted in the US. Came here as it was one of the few places showing the EFL Championship Play-off final, they even opened early for us :)

Great Irish pub atmosphere! This is a great place to meet up with friends, no matter if the occasion is to catch up or catch the game. Food is great, beer selection is varied enough to ensure everyone can find their favorite style.

Delicious pub grub with the dark pub atmosphere. Came here for lunch with coworkers and had the fish and chips, which was fantastic. Good selection of draft beers as well. Definitely will be back the next time Im in the area.

Nothing special. Had a few apps that were ok, bartender was friendly. Wouldnt go out of my way to visit again, but if I lived nearby it seems like a good spot to be a regular

Good little Irish pub. Decent prices for drinks. I didnt like that they closed the kitchen at 10pm. The music was also not to my liking but overall it had a good cozy vibe.

One of two spots where youll meet dead-ass US Soccer fans. Cats here can talk about Eddie Lewis, Tony Sanneh, and all the old greats these pink hats have never heard of

Lovely local spot - great for sports games, especially if youre a soccer fan (though it is small and fills up quickly) Staff is great and food is delish.

Great Irish pub. Premier league and NFL are kings here. Go with the Heineken draft, the Guinness is pricy.
