Im sitting here at The Sudra on this beautiful July evening. I had to begin reviewing upon finishing the meal. All I have to say is, which is plentiful, the food is amazing, service is top-notch, very welcoming and pay you the upmost attention. The atmosphere is laid back with its mellow tunes. There is lots of variation when it comes to the food and drink menu; leaves you wanting to try everything. I recommend the Tamarind Curry Beats to refresh your palette on a hot summer day. The coconut yogurt it sits in is amazing! Meaningless to say that I will be visiting this exceptional establishment many, many more times in the foreseeable future. Salud!

I love the food at this place. Non-vegan friends of mine dont miss the meat! Whether vegan or not, the food is a wonderful fusion of Indian dishes with Southwestern US. I also love that so many of their dishes can be ordered in a small size (perfect for sampling) or large. Great place to share delicious healthy food that is filled with amazing flavors. My only gripe in the St Johns location - the tables/chairs are too close together. And I do wish they offered a hot chai, as well as iced - especially for our cool, damp fall and winter.

Visiting from out of town and decided to try this place out. Definitely a twist on traditional Indian fare; I ended up trying the chickpea cutlet which were basically falafels (no complaint, it was absolutely delicious). It came with a small side of curry sauce and a side of kale salad with what tasted similar to tahini. Happy hour prices are reasonable and I also enjoyed one of the chai teas with a shot of kraken in it. This place is casual and great for vegans (or people who just enjoy good food).

Havent been to the eye doctor in 5 yrs. We chose cathedral eye care because it was close to home. Everyone was so nice. They even offered you refreshments. My husband had coffee in a real coffee mug not a paper cup. The eye doctor explained everything and took time to answer all question and we were not pressured into buying anything we did not want. They made suggestions. I love that place.

Great space, friendly staff and the food is amazing! Lots of different choices. Definitely did a good job of not sacrificing flavor even though it is all on the healthy side, so you can feel good about your meal. The cocktail list is creative and tasty, would recommend the happy hour for sure. Id say if you are in North Portland, it is a great choice.

Just had lunch here yesterday and it was DELICIOUS! Huge plate of vegetarian food (I was starving and came here after working out) and I practically licked my plate clean. The strawberry habanero sauce was amazing. I will definitely be coming here once a week. Great value and great staff as well. So stoked this place exists.

I was pretty disappointed. The presentation of the food was not appetizing (think slop on top of rice). My mom and I got two distinctly different dishes that actually tasted identical. Honestly, save your money, buy some curry powder and take a stab at preparing your own Indian food. Im pretty sure it will taste just as "good".

Awesome food in downtown St. Johns. A healthy twist on classic Indian dishes. Very flavorful. Id give it five stars, but the service was just okay. You order at a counter. We went at a time when it wasnt busy, so Id expect staff to fill water or come check on us at that time.

The vibe is punk and the food is vegan. Very good food and I highly recommend visiting here is you want to try a vegan meal out. It is also a good stepping stone spot to St. Johns twin cinema.
