No-frills counter service Indian restaurant serving apparently authentic favorites, judging from the mostly Indian expatriate clientele. Full pastry case looks inviting, but I’ve never tied any. Vegetable samosas are a dollar, served with mint chutney and some kind of tamarind sauce (I think?). I can’t get enough of the mint chutney. Half order of the chicken biryani may be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. They aren’t heavy on the chicken, but what is found buried underneath the rice and spices is wonderfully delicious. When ordering for children, they will adjust the spiciness upon request. Attached to Indian grocery store, there is also a room in the back showing Bollywood movies where you can bring your food and drinks, and dine while watching a big screen.

I called to order over phone for a to-go order on September 4th, around 4:35 pm. Someone picked up the phone, and when I was in the middle of ordering, the guy on the other end said that he is busy with customers there and he wants me to hold for couple of minutes. I kept holding for more than 15 minutes, but he never got back to the call. In the meantime, I heard them taking order from many customers in store. If they dont want to take order over the phone, they should have mentioned it upfront, or it should be part of the policy. This is a very low grade of customer service, and wasted my valuable time. I would never go back to this place.

Updated review: Nice food, lot of options. 5 star for food, 4 star (revised) for overall experience. Had ordered food for a fn. I felt that 4 inch half tray was smaller than expected. The tray size was more close to the 2 inch tray than the other 4 inch tray we ordered. Owner reviewed my comment and clarified that it is 4 inch tray and provided the retailer details selling the tray. I am convinced. Being a responsible customer, it is my duty to bring these observations to restaurant management and public. Thanks Srinivas for addressing customers concerns. 2nd point will remain: be patient with the guy who takes catering orders. :)

Delightful. Always. I frequent this place and is one of my local favorite for Indian food. Their specialty is in sloth indian food but their chole bhature is best compared to their competitors nearby. Love their biryani and their goat dishes. My favorite is chicken lollipop. But they run out of it if you go later hours. Also love their chicken 65 but do let them know if you are not fond of too spicy, they can dial it down. Nice friendly and cordial people. Always see their employees happy. Quantity is always generous for the price. You definitely have to check them out.

Good Indian food at reasonable prices. One thing that definitely bothers me however is that they often make dishes excessively spicy (far, far spicier than I usually have when I visit my relatives in India). Additionally, the decor is lacking; the place is a bit boring to look around while you eat. I must definitely compliment them on their service, however. The staff are polite, helpful, and give excellent recommendations. Their selection of foods is also very broad and they prepare things rather quickly.

Nice grocery store with a restaurant as well. Bulk rice in the back larger than Ive seen grocery stores carry. Large amounts of naan, too. Fun restaurant seating. I was surprised when the lamb dish included lots of bone. I was told later thats a thing to expect with lamb at authentic places. The chicken Tikka masala was spot on though. The store is fun to browse and theres a good variety of sweets to choose from.

Food is simply awesome typical to indian taste which is preferably spicy. They have good hand at indo chinese food like the chilli chicken, chowmein, veg manchurian. As I am from north India I can completely vouch for their amazing taste in chole bhature, chaat. Its a self service but staff are very warm and cordial.Neat Clean and spacious.

Definitely better than India connection and other restaurants nearby. Though it is a self service, they are more than happy to give extras or address any questions. Food is mostly good (sometimes salty, but you can request less salt in your food). I prefer this over Chennai Masala which is too pricey for me.

Good authentic Indian food. Be aware of what you buy as some of the food is hot. Staff is friendly to tell you which items are spicy. They also have some nice treats like puff pastries and good cakes. Also extends into store which is convenient if you need to shop for some ethnic food.

Good Indian food with a more spicy spin. I guess Muslims like it hot, and Im ok with that. I tried a sampler plate (Non-Veg Thali) that had many metal bowls with tasty surprises hidden therein. Its a different taste palette than Im used to, very spicy, but I recommend it.

One of the best places to get Indian food especially biriyani. Staff is friendly; one time they gave us a free bowl of rice and curd for our baby daughter - this gesture helps in creating a positive feeling about the place. It can get a bit noisy during the rush hours.

The Chicken Tikka Masala is really good, I would suggest ordering over the phone before you come as the wait can be a bit for certain things. Also the grocery store section of this place is chock full of stuff ill be sure to come back for.

Best goat biryani in Hillsboro & Beaverton area. Disappointing part is it will sold out quickly before dinner time (08pm). Quantity and quality of biryani is good.It will be great if they maintain its standard going forward.

Its a place where you can get a unique and authentic taste of Hyderabad goat dum biryani. I had tasted all biryanis in Seattle and Portland area but none of them beats apna chat goat Briyani. Its the best and best ever...

Ambience is abysmal and food is sub-par, although the concept is great. Agreed this place seems to be run like a fast food joint, but they use throwaway paper/styrofoam/plastic plates/cutlery even for eating in.

So good. This is probably the best Indian food in the Portland metro area. Try the Chicken 65 and the Kadai Paneer. Have a mango lassi to quench the fire.
