I really enjoyed this pub. I was traveling from out of town one vacation, visiting a friend and this bar literally waited in me hand and foot. I felt welcomed (yes, this is important to me as a triple minority traveling alone) and throughly enjoyed my meal of pot roast and sweet potatoes fries. I was there for the booze but the pot roast was really delicious! The happy hour was until 6pm that day and I arrived around 4:30pm to kill time until my guest got off work at 6:30. At no point did I feel rushed or like an inconvenience to the establishment for being a party of 1 in a booth. This was very impressive. I had 3 beers, 3 shots and a mixed tequila sunrise. The prices were very reasonable and I was so surprised that I asked he add on an additional shot once I got the bill! My company enjoyed a Cesar salad and cola, even with these items- the bill was reasonable for 2 people (and my happy hour selection). All in all, lol Ill certainly be back for the good drinks, food and overall customer service experience. I wish I remembered my waiters name (a gentleman with a long beard and red flannel shirt) because he deserves a raise. Ill be back. 4 stars because the bathroom couldve used a run through at the time I went in

The comfort foods are ok here but dont do anything veggie. At one time they had an Eggplant sandwich on the menu which sounded ok. Turns out it was an unpeeled round eggplant sliced in half, The egg plant was grilled only on one side and cold. Unfortunitely, I forgot about the eggplant mess and ordered the Veggie Muffuletta. The menu says it is grilled Portabella mushrooms and grilled zuchini for $8. I guess they were grilled, the only question was when they were grilled. The sandwich was cold and the veggies limp. It was terrible. The waitress must have known because she never came backl asked the hostess for ranch dressing and drenched the whole sandwich with it trying to mask the unpleasantness. The check came and it was $9 instead of the $8 the menu said. The hostress (no waitress yet) assured us the menu said $9 and the sandwich was supposed to be cold. I will not be going back. How much commen sense does it take to know that no one goes out to pay $10 for left over cold vegitables.

A shining star! I was surprised at how delicious the food was. I ordered a salad and a roast beef sandwich. The salad was phenomenal considering it was just a side salad- very creative toppings and well-executed. The roast beef (or maybe it was pot roast) was flavorful and juicy (not greasy), and didnt make me guilty from straying from my diet. The atmosphere was like a friendly dive-bar. Being down town it wasnt trendy or snobby, but seemed like a great place for a happy hour or even a first date. There was great local beer to choose from, and it was just a great little place. Probably one of a handful of reasons I would ever visit Columbus again...

I was here tonight [December 6th 2016], the restaurant is empty. There are bunch of Gays and Lesbians drunk here and pocking their private parts strength and weakness. Nothing against alternative lifestyle people but nobody like to hear abt ur powers or malfunctioned DNA at a dinner bar. Anyway food was ok, drink was okay I had a lot of food and 3 drink they r economically chep. But I wish they had a good mgmt policy to watch what people are talking and how drinks affect there outlook. PS nobody is questioning gay lesbian lifestyle but be respectful to others . we dont really care how ur dick is powerful.

We stopped in for a few drinks with friends and waited several mins. for our first round because the bartender didnt seem to care that we were sitting and waiting at the bar. When it came time for our second drink, the bartender wasnt around so we continued to wait, finally he came back up and we asked to get another round he said in a min. so we waited over 20mins and the bartender was off chatting with fellow workers so we left. Upon leaving, we saw not 1 but 3 ROACHES!! On the wall and crawling across the counter.. So needless to say, we wont be back! GROSS!!!!! Bad service and Roaches!!!

I love you, Tip Top. I promise to come back the next time I roll through Columbus to sample more of those bourbon drinks. Ill even bring the lady again, as she could not get enough of your selection of vodka cocktails. And dont change a thing with that food! Way too good for a dive-day afternoon. I can see way your so popular, even when nothing is going on downtown. My only request: next time, make the drinks either more slowly or less delicious. You can really make me stupid quick!!!

Our favorite hangout in the downtown area. Good happy hour deals, nice selection of local beers, reasonable food prices. I always recommend the pot roast sandwich and sweet potato fries, but they have vegetarian and vegan options too. If youre coming for lunch, plan to arrive by 11:30 because its a popular lunchtime destination. Its also crowded before downtown concerts and shows, so allow for an early arrival time.

I love the ambiance here, and its a place to come get a great lunch. GET HERE EARLY. The place fills up quickly, every day, and for a good reason. The food quality is top notch for the area, and I dont mind voting with my dollars here. They have a nice variety of items to try, and a hell of a bar. Whomever is stocking the bourbon and scotch selection, Im impressed... keep up the great job everyone!

Dont let the exterior fool you; the interior decor is cozy and inviting. Tip Tops food offerings are among the best in downtown Columbus. I highly recommend the Hell Salad, pot roast dinner, and chicken salad sandwich. On tap is a nice selection of rotating handles including several local craft brews at all times. If you order a cocktail be prepared, they pour with a heavy hand here!

Walked in on a relatively calm Sunday and sat at the bar. Patiently waited for service for like 5-10 minutes thinking bartender was busy. Another patron walks in, sits two seats down, and is served before hes even settled in his seat. When I call attention to the bartender he leaves me waiting to finish up other stuff. Disappointed that this is what the Lessner empire has become.

This place is the gross place on earth! The employees are very nasty. This guy had buggers in his nose trying to serve me food. I dont recommend this to anybody! The Mac and Cheese is the grossest thing I have ever tasted ! DO NOT GO HERE! The are haters of the LGBT community! If you are apart of the LGBT community dont go here! They dont support you dont spend your money here!

Columbus restaurateur Liz Lessner has a mini-empire of funky eateries and saloons that focus on comfort food, quirky cocktails and great beer. Our favorite eatery is Tip Top, which has Columbus-themed cocktails (the Bus-Town Julep incorporates Ohio maple syrup), draft beer (hoppy Columbus Pale Ale) and fun eats like eggplant fries and pot roast on a pretzel roll.

Im a big fan of this place. The atmosphere is comforting (if you get a booth) and the pot roast is baller. Some of the servers can have a touch of hipster-tude but that sorta adds to the charm. Nobody is drinking PBR out of a straw or anything so its a pretty decent crowd. If you have friends in from out of town I would take them here for dinner.
