I must say I was very disappointed with the way I was treated at this restaurant. After reading all the reviews I was sure this would be a nice place to eat. I went there with intention to order sesame chicken with vegetable fried rice. I asked what the price was and was told it was $12.00. I casually stated it was expensive but ordered it anyway. The owner looked at me and stated "do you want it or not?" after I had already ordered. I then asked if I could switch the eggroll for something else like a wing since I didnt eat pork or shrimp. He rudely stated he could not substitute it for anything. I thought this was strange because all the other restaurants normally would substitute with no problem. I had already paid and because I tried to explain that the other restaurants normally substitute, he took the receipt out of my hand and started to say he would cancel the payment and the order. Not once did I ask for the order to be cancelled. Additionally, I went with my four year old dtr who thought the colors in the restaurant were beautiful and started walking around the sitting area. He stared at her and followed her with his eyes as though she was going to steal something. I am not sure if the treatment I received was because I was African American but I felt very unwelcomed. I thought many times of cancelling and walking away but I decided not to stoop to his ungodly and petty behavior. Although the food was well made, I will never eat at this restaurant again. I am a respectable hard working Black Christian woman. I see no reason why I should have been treated this way. Good tasting food is not the only important aspect of a restaurant. It is important to treat ALL customers with dignity and respect...........something that the owner of this restaurant was truly lacking. I am sorry to be the first to write an unpleasant review, but for me to actually sit and write this must let the reader know how badly I felt as a customer.

I recently moved to this area and have ordered takeout from here 3 times...Very simple order, just fried tofu with mixed vegetables in a brown sauce. Each and every time, it is incorrect. The tofu is *always* steamed, even though I specify I want it fried due to the difference in consistency (I dislike the "slimy" texture of steamed tofu). Not only that, but I ask if there is sauce included, they assure me there is, and what do I see when I get home? Thats right...just plain steamed vegetables and tofu. No sauce, no seasoning of any kind. If I wanted that, Id have made it at home. Maybe this place is good for meat eaters, but it seems to suck for vegetarians. I will likely not be coming back here again, which is a shame since its only 2 blocks from my apartment. Time to see if theres any other Chinese food restaurants in Walden that actually listen to what their customers ask for.

They used to be the best around. We used to go 2-3 times a month. I loved chatting with the owners. Theyd always greet me with a smile and tell me a crazy funny story. Now, after the new ownership has taken over, the staff seems depressed and bleak. The quality of the ingredients have dropped, and there is a major difference in the taste of the food. The last two times Ive ordered from here, I had to throw out my food because it tasted like rotting flesh. The rice was even very bland. Id avoid at all costs. Just go to Larrys in Pine Bush and be done with it. Its a shame too. Ive spent a lot of money here over the years. Sad to see the original owners go and the drop in quality.

My friends and I have been coming to Daxxon Chinese restaurant for at least 10 years - sometimes I eat in and other times I take out. The restaurant is well-adorned with a pleasing decor, the service is always fast (very fast for lunch and very decent for dinner), and the food is always delicious and fresh. Even though I live half an hour away, I still travel to Walden, NY for Daxxons delicious chinese food - my favorites are their General Tsos, Chicken with Broccoli, Egg Drop Soup, and my boyfriend loves their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce.

Iam use to eating chinese fast food from all 5 boroughs Brooklyn,Bronx,Manhattan and China Town etc.The food at all these Restaurant all taste good n are similiar in the taste.I moved to upstate NY .The people in this Village (region)only have 2 Restaurant,they dont kno better iam sorry but the food is not to good.I wont be eating nothing chinese up on that region. I wish the people could taste other chinese food besides the 2 they would love it even more.I dont kno if i should blame it on the water.

The best sit down Chinese in the Hudson Valley. Though I have noticed new faces there and the owner and his wife I have not seen in some time. They still have their pictures on the walls, and the food is still great, some of the same waiters are there, so all is good so far. We have gone there for years, we have never ONCE been disappointed. Good service, great food, lovely atmosphere. There take out is great too.

Food was over cook and had no taste. The service was awful. They crowded everyone in to a little space while there was plenty of room witch made dining very uncomfortable. Prices were also pretty unreasonable. I would not recommend this place to anybody. I will continue to eat at Ming Jies rather then Daxxon so if youre looking for a place in the area Ming Jies is what I suggest!

Thirty years I have patronized this restaurant and was never ever disappointed with service or food. Everything is fresh and cooked just right. Every one that I brought to Daxxon loved the food. Its not the typical that you get at other resturants, their food is surprisingly tasty and different. Five stars for Daxxon.

They have been in business for years and are my go to place for chinese food in the area. Great all around prices, the food is delicious, and the prices cant be beat. I especially love the specials they have everyday, makes eating out for lunch very afforable! I highly recommend them!

Horrible doesnt know how to serve around a 2 year old store slow everyone sitting on top of each other with a party of 11 right next two families with kids and party is loud doesnt ask if we want to be moved puts hot plates in front of 2 year old along with steak knives

Beware if they offer you more soda. It is not a refill. They charge you full price. The two of us paid $6.75 just for soda with our dinner. They also have a minimum per person charge. The egg rolls didnt have much in them, and not much flavor. Fried rice not very good.

I would pick up general tsos chicken every Monday from this place til I got food poisoning not once but twice. I went in and asked them about it and they said it couldnt have been them. I gave them a second shot and got sick from it again. Never again!
