Great little Indian place in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The location is a little off the beaten path under the overpass, but still a worthwhile trip! BONUS: there is parking onsite so no need to search for street parking! We went for lunch and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We got the papri chaat, paneer pakoda, and lamb biriyani for our meals. We each also ordered a chai (hot and cold) with our meal. The food was excellent with all the right notes of Indian spicy without being too overwhelming. I would recommend the mango chutney! The chutney is sweet and tangy and is a nice compliment to any dish. I think the chais were decent, though would prefer a little more masala - will make it a note to ask for this next time. Will be planning a repeat visit soon to try some of the other offerings.

Awesome food. Went there last night with a group of 5 after a buddy recommended it to me. Its BYOB and they provided the wine glasses, which is a plus. The waitress was fantastic, prompt and courteous. The owner (I think? His name was Marc) came out and greeted us to check on us, we ended up having a conversation about his vacation plans! Very personable staff. One of us did not have much experience with Indian food beyond tikka masala, and the staff was very good about recommending alternate dishes to her. They even brought out a free side dish as a treat for her to try, and theres complimentary kheer, which is basically a thinner rice pudding. It was awesome! And then the best part - leftovers the next day! All in all would definitely recommend. Totally great experience.

A great place for delicious Halal food, with both North and South Indian cuisine. This place has a wide vegetarian menu, and the chef here is excellent. The food is spiced the way you ask for it, and the waitstaff pays particular attention to detail. The sauces are succulent and silky, and the roti and naan are perfect! Ive never had a bad meal! Portions sizes are just right too! The servers are never overbearing and are kind. In fact, I have never been to an Indian restaurant in the South Jersey / Philadelphia area where Ive had better service. Tandoor India delivers and are proud of their fast delivery service. Please visit! You wont be disappointed!

I read some positive reviews of this restaurant so I decided to try it. Big mistake. Ordered the Matter Paneer extra mild. They brought something with mushrooms, peas and no paneer. Mushroom mystery food? The waiter did correct this however the food they brought the second time was very spicy. The waiter first argued that it was mild then reluctantly offered to replace it, which at that point I decided to refuse because I didn’t trust them. The final straw was the cockroach crawling up the wall next to where I was sitting, disgusting! The restaurant needs to address this health issue. At least the waiter didn’t charge for the meal.

It was my first time there and the service was great. The establishment was very clean and really has a very peaceful environment. The food.... Was amazing I had the Goat Kahari with medium spice. I must say it was so was delicious . You taste the flavor a of India all in one dish the goat was tender and full of flavor. My friend had a tilapia dish and it was also delicious. We complimented our meal with a Mango Lassi, which I had 2 because they are delicious and rich. The lassi also helped cool down the spice from the food. I will definitely be coming back and its a big hit for my list for food in the fish town community.

Will not visit until I am really desperate and hungry The cook seems to be from Bangladesh n the dishes were filled with turmeric. Garlic and onion naan was really good except that minced garlic was mixed with turmeric.the koftas were really hard to break with roti and had to use fork and knife. The outside seating is awesome if you are OK with the subway train making trips above your head every 10 mins . One time visit is good

I love this place and the people who work here! The food is always great; weve tried lots of different dishes from the menu and its all wonderful. The service is excellent - quick, friendly, and theyre always willing to talk about the menu with you. Their delivery is awesome too!! They usually arrive earlier than they estimate and the drivers are super cute and nice!

Wheres the flavor? Ordered chicken saag and a chai masala for delivery. I cant eat it, its so bland, and Im actually really hungry. Definitely canned spinach and low quality meat. The tea is bitter. Never had worse Indian food. Either they just did an unusually bad job, or no one who has written them a positive review knows how Indian food is supposed to taste.

Seen all the good reviews and decided to give them a try but the food at best was mediocre as we. Love Briyani so me and my family ordered for the Briyani and it was the worst Briyani by far. I dont know what is all this hype for and when I told the server that guess what he said thats how our chef makes it and he couldnt care less never going back there..

I love this food it was in good portions going from the appetizer to the entree and I believe that I ordered the goat tandoori......me and my boo sat outside and even though we were right next to the L where it was noisy the environment was so peaceful and quiet and the waiter was wonderful

This place is on the outskirts of Philly CIty near Temple University. The moment you step inside this spacious restaurant you can smell something cooking the tandoor. The food we ordered was really really good: both veg and non-veg. The kulfi desserts are very tasty and authentic.!

Awesome Awesome Food! Some of the best Indian food Ive ever had. Everything is made fresh and no corners are cut like most Indian place that just pour curry over grilled chicken. If youre looking for Authentic Indian food.....look no FURTHER!!!

Called when the food was 20 minutes late, and they said it would be delivered in ten minutes. Called fifteen minutes after that and they said it would leave the restaurant in ten minutes. Get it together.

The food here is incredible and the restaurant is welcoming and has a nice, calm ambiance. Its a great place to go after a day of exploring the shops in fishtown.
