This is the slowest Meijer ever. I hate this Meijer. It is terrible. I have never had to wait in line to check out at the grocery store for over 45 minutes in my entire life. I am so sorry that I had a single coupon because that alone added 20 minutes. It appears that the employee, who looked like she hated her job, took so long because their POS system is a POS. And why does Meijer even bother to build 50 registers if only 1 is open at a time. It boggles the mind. On top of that, I get road rage just pushing my buggy in the aisles. I dont know if its because everyone is glued to their phones nowadays, or maybe Im in a hurry, or maybe the aisles are disorganized and too narrow, but it is terribly frustrating and inconvenient. By the time I got home, my ice cream was melting, and my hair had fallen out. I recommend checking out the Meijer on Mound Road in Warren, worth the drive.

Absolutely horrendous. I arrived with two goals: return cans and get milk. One of the entrances was closed, so I walked to the other end of the parking lot and enter there. I noted a strong smell of cheap alcohol, as if there is an alcoholic bum living there. I successfully return the cans after stumbling across the bottle return. There were no signs directing me to it. The facilities for which are disgusting. The hand washing station was disassembled. There were carts and garbage littering the floor. Several machines did not work. After completing this, I struggled to get to the milk refrigerator: it was sectioned off for cleaning. As I try to go around the orange fencing, to top it off, an employee laughs at me and makes fun of me for not being able to get there. I remember hearing the phrase "suckers like you". Worst Meijer experience ever. If only there was a 0 stars option.

I used to love to go to Meijers. Prices are good, selections great. However, the last 6 months that I have been going into the store, I have had to wait to check out at least 15 to 20 minutes. There is about 15 check out aisles, but only3 or 4 are opened at any one time, and the lines to check out are into the merchandise aisles. Tried the self-check out line yesterday. The tape in the resister got stuck and it took about 15 minutes for someone to fix it. At that point, you would think that they would have taken the people waiting in that line to another register to check out. But about 5 employees were standing around watching people try to check out and they were sorry we had to wait. We either need another Meijers on the west side of Woodward or hire more people to utilize the facilities they have. Will have to find another place to shop.

Very helpful and pleasant. I was shopping with my 3 year old on 12/6/16 and was looking for some shredded rotisserie chicken. I spoke to Laura Dillard who was working behind the deli counter. She walked me over to the area where the shredded rotisserie chicken was suppose to be. However, Meijer had run out. Before I could thank her for her time she said "If you have a minute I can run back and shred a rotisserie chicken for you." I was very surprised, and said "wow, you would do that right now?" Laura Dillard smiled and said "of course I would." What a great experience and a great employee. Thank you Laura Dillard for your great attitude and willingness to help!

After multiple requests to management to carry Amys Organic Tofu Scrambler burritos, Go Veggie Pepper Jack non dairy slices and Gatorade G2 LEMON-LIME 20 OZ 8 PACKS they are always sold out it appears they just discontinue carrying each item. What is the problem oh and you cant email or call ...only verbal request .so I can order GATORADE G2 LEMON-LIME 8 PACK online from the death star-Mart I suspect my only recourse is the 1 star review. Glad you paved meijer drive but the 1 star review stays until these items are carried oh and the Go Veggie Non Dairy American slices are horrible thats why you have hundress unsold. Get on it please.

Can they check you out any slower? I literally have to mentally prepare myself in the parking lot on those rare occasions I have to shop here for the altered reality Ill have to endure once Im ready to pay. Time seems to enter a new state. At my regular store, I cant unload my cart quick enough to keep up, here, its one or two items, then wait...zzzz. Cant they clean that scanner so they dont have to scan everything twelve times before it takes? And the turnstiles for the grocery bags are just a bad idea for trying to save money by not paying a bagger, but it just means that cashier has to take even more time.

After a relative passed away I needed to make prints for a photo board. I called the store and they were just about to close. They said if I had them printed via the App before they close I could pick them up that night. I called them again after I printed them. It was less than a minute before the photo area would shut the machine off. I asked them if they could wait for them to print. They were amazing and I picked them up right away. Its not a huge effort, but with the circumstances it meant a huge amount more to me.

Edit: They are trying really hard to make things work, and things are slowly getting better. They even put a sign up for a while pointing to the cream cheese! Original: They are trying to stay open during a major construction project, and its not working. I came looking for 3 things: strawberries, cream cheese, and a bag of latex balloons that I had previously bought at a meijer. Neither I nor the employee who tried to help me could find any of those items. Im not coming back until construction is finished.

I am frequently frustrated with this location. Historically, the staff have been inattentive, almost annoyed you are there. The "fresh" produce is usually well abused, old, or out of stock, and there are NEVER enough cashiers during the Rush. I have been going to the 8 mile Rd location instead. I am hopeful the remodel (still in progress as of this review) will bring a new attitude and sense of pride to the location and will return with an open mind when the remodel is done.

I love Meijer! Produce is always fresh. You can find absolutely everything in one place, which saves time & money. They have all the local brands & more. I love their Organics brand. I left my purse in the cart in their parking lot. The employee turned in customer service, who handed it back to me a couple hours later - intact! Ill always appreciate that. And the best part, great prices. The only bad thing? Too many self checkouts, less cashiers.

I cant say enough nice things about the young woman in the bakery that helped me out with a cake order. I walked in late afternoon the day before Easter to purchase a birthday cake. Of course the pickings were slim but the young woman asked if I needed help and them offered to prepare a custom Birthday cake while I waited. I just wanted to share the phenomenal service I received today.
