We went on Columbus Day, and while they were staffed for the extra business, some (although not all) of the staff was quite snooty in response to the inexperienced "tea taster". The employee that helped us was very nice, however. Hopefully hell rub off on his coworkers. It got very crowded at the tea bar and in the store, so we had to leave and come back once it quieted down. The quality of the teas, however, were amazing.

Theres a small little Cafe attached to the store. The store is divided into a sample room, where you can ask them to brew up 1 flavor of your choice. Additionally they offer at least something else daily to sample. The other room is the storefront. Please be advised some teas are seasonal and may not be on the floor, sometimes you can ask staff for items not on the floor and get lucky if they have it in the back.

A great variety of excellent teas may be purchased here. Try Supreme Breakfast, Pueh, Hot Cinnamon, and Mint. Loose tea and tea in bags (sachets) are sold here. Theres also a tasting room - try it before you buy it. There are also tea pots for sale and tea accessories - everything tea! The staff is friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable. When it comes to tea, Harney & Sons is my go-to place.

We stopped in for tea and lunch in the tea room.. Food was "ok", nothing special, expensive for what you get. I would next time just order tea with dessert/scones. Take time and enjoy the area where they have the canisters of tea to ell and have bagged up fresh. The tea is of the highest quality (we oder frequently). Prices for tea are the same as on the website.

I love their tea, so I traveled the hour to check the place out and buy some. The tea is excellent, but the place, Eh... we did eat at the cafe, the girl there was very nice, our waiter wasnt the friendliest. Im surprised they dont do anything to make the outside attractive; needs to be cleaned up and the building needs a good paint job, its kind of dumpy looking.

The best place for tea! They let you sample any of the over 100 different varieties of loss leaf tea. They are very knowledgeable about everything when it comes to brewing tea and all the different kinds of tea they have! Go there and it will change your life!

A gem of a shop, with over 250 excellent teas to choose from, and an incredibly quaint cafe in a cute town nestled in the Hudson Valley and Berkshires. This is worth a trip from NYC, Boston, Montreal, or just about anywhere else, if youre a tea-lover.

Not only did my delivery of teas come sooner than expected I was also given several small samples of other teas to try. Very thankful to have found this gem of a tea shop and hope to visit very soon. Will most definitely be ordering more tea soon.

Knowledgeable employees, nice atmosphere, the cafe has great options for lunch, but it is small. If you go during the lunch rush you may have to wait a while for a table, but you can enjoy some tea tasting and do some shopping while you wait.

The best tea selection within a hundred miles. Internationally known. Tea samples are always brewing and you can request one. The cafe is not really worth the effort. If you are in Millerton, stop by and get a pound of your favorite tea.

Terrible service but the tea tasting is great! Dont go there if you are looking for lunch. It is expensive and the service is atrocious.
