Their Sicilian pizza is LITERALLY to die for. In other words, if you eat bread all the time, cheese too, you will have a huge gut and wind up in a coffin prematurely, but their mouth watering Sicilian pizza is so incredible, it feels worth it. If youre going to trash your health with pizza, at least have the highest standards possible and do it at Colosseo. If one pizza parlor can justify their existence within the offensively huge overabundance of pizza parlors on Long Island, its Colosseo, because at least their pizza stands out, and is on top and the very best on Long Island, and possibly all of New York state. Just the Sicilian though. The regular I would classify as just "above average". I often wonder if the Italian family responsible for this has mob connections for the ingredients, and if theyre laced with feel-good substances. I speculate opiates. The only complaint I have about this place is that it seems elitist of them how they dont deliver, dont allow most toppings (I asked for broccoli once and was shot down), dont take credit cards, etc, but they sort of earn the right to be that way. Just mainline the goods into my bloodstream and I wont complain.

Walk in to see a well lit, clean, new style design aesthetic, a thirty foot granite counter, 12 pizza ovens, sophisticated high end touch screen restaurant POS, in back ample sit down restaurant seating in whats probably a 2,500-3,500 square foot space. I place a take out order, reach for a card and... "Cash only" the woman said brusquely. Not a minimum, just no cards AT ALL. Couldnt even say it with a smile. Cash only? Seriously? Its 2017. I walked out and wont be back. IRS needs to audit this place hard. No way somebody spends so much to build out and they cant afford to process cards. Im a retail owner and can tell you this is nonsense.

This review is more for the owners. Its a long day and mom isnt feeling well at home. On a tight time schedule my 9 year old daughter has a doctors apt, so with my 3 year old son, we wanted the kids favorite, pizza before the doctors. Ordering their favorite slices and drinks, i go to pay.. Sorry No Credit Cards, with only cash for the doctors co pay, i had to leave, breaking my heart with my crying son and a disappointed, but understanding daughter.. i almost cried with their sadness.. im sure it is good pizza, but unfortunately it was not a good experience for my kids..

Never in my life have I had such a bad experience in a pizza place. I have been there 3 times. NO ONE speaks English. And Im not talking about Italian either. The people behind the counter taking the orders are downright NASTY! They dont say hello, thank you, or anything. AND THEY DONT TAKE CREDIT CARDS!!!. No sign on the window either. I waited on line 20 minutes before I went to pay and they told me (the best they could in broken English) that they dont take credit cards. Will NEVER go back. Go to Old Town Pizza or Cafe Amici.

First my wife tells me to pick up two pies o the way home from work. I walk in and some girl who barely spoke english tells me the total is $40 . Really !? For two pies!?!? Then to top it off she tells me the Dont except credit cards . What place of business doesnt take credit cards ? Your pizza place is a joke ! You couldnt pay me to eat at your place ever again.

I ordered a buffalo chicken slice, and a regular, and i kindky asked the woman for hot sauce, and she told, she couldnt give me hot sauce. She told me she had no hot sauce, which shows that she is lazy, and that she doesnt respect her daily customers. If the manager wants to speak w me, he can email. This is honestly terrible.

Best pizza ever! Only disappointing thing - they dont take credit cards, just cash. Well, also, their salads are kinda boring and I wish they had a better selection of teas... but seriously, its a pizzeria, and their pizza is simply amazing! I heard they have two more places on long island.. anyone know of them?

Colosseo is an established and revered pizza place on long island.. nothing beats the combo of a Colosseo specialty slice and a nice Sicilian slice. Definitely recommend this place with the highest regard. Top quality pizza by far. Beats out any other place in the area by many leagues.

The Gustapo general who owns the place makes sure you know that they only serve pizza, calzones, and salad. No chicken parm, no pasta, nothing. Oh and they make you walk a mile to the nearest ATM because its cash only. Food was plain, cold, and overpriced.

I consider myself a somewhat seasoned pizza lover. Ive had pizza all over the country and the world. This hometown spot is still my favorite! Everyone says NYC has the best pizza. Theyre wrong. The sauce and cheese here have made it a local legend.

First time ever having New York pizza. I live in NC and visited NY for four days for the first time as well and words cannot put into words how amazing Colosseos Pizza was! The best in town if you ask me. Ill never think of pizza the same again.

This is one of the few 5-star pizza places left around here. The pizza is always great and I love the old school charm. Todays pizza places are too fancy and too complicated. Colloseo keeps it simple - their pizza is the best around.

A staple for pizza lovers, this Port Jeff Station gem satisfies hungry visitors. The menu is simple but has anything most folks could ask for. Thin crust, great sauce, and quality cheese are hallmarks of this great restaurant.

I have been eating their pizza since I was a kid. No pizzeria can compare. They stand alone. They do not accept credit cards. They do not make heroes for dinners. They do make some salads but their Maine entree is pizza!!!! A+

Great pizza! I had couple cheese slices and they were great so was the customer service! Beware tho they only accept cash. I dont mind it but if you dont have any on you, you cant buy. Other than that the place is amazing. :)

Twice went there and both times the workers couldnt understand what I wanted and acted dumb. Got home and it wasnt right. The pizza dough also not good. One topping was right but didnt want the sauce. Never again.

Heard someone say it was the best pizza, couldnt have been more dissapointed. Lacked flavor, boring sauce and cheese tasted bland, probably not real. Horrible! Try Uncle Joes in Lake Grove and youll never return.

Anyone who finds fault with this pizza, and says that it is not among the best they have ever tasted..... well, they simply do not know what pizza should be!! It is some of the best you will ever find anywhere!

If I need to describe how great the pizza is then you have never been there. Get there now and enjoy! :)) My order: 1 slice regular, 1 slice sicilian, 1 slice stuffed, side of sauce, large coke. Amazing!

One of the best pizza places on Long Island! This is cash only, but a mild inconvenience for some of the best pizza you can get. You can eat in, or take out, never had issues with my order being messed up.
