My review is mainly for the atmosphere and the live music. It really brought me back to New Orleans for a little while. Our waitress was pretty good. I was worried about the service as I had read that its pretty hit or miss. Bad service will ruin my review no matter if the food was good or not. The hostess was clearly not a ray of sunshine, but the waitress was all I cared about, really. The food was pretty sub par for the most part. I felt that the boudain was spicy but not flavorful in this least. Boudain should make you want to overeat, and I was good with a small bite. The stuffed mushrooms were also bland and the stuffing tasted like raw boxed stuffing unfortunately. The jambalaya was ok, not bad at all, but certainly not great. It tasted more like rice with tomato sauce more than anything. My kids had the catfish meals and the breading was very bland and I didnt find much fish in there. **However, due to reviews on google, my husband and I both ordered the chicken a la mar and it was absolutely delicious. I ate all of mine even though I shouldnt have. My older son ordered the seafood fettuccine and it was very good too. Though they do use imitation crab meat and I find that kind of cheap for a $17 dish. Everything you consume in Louisiana is quality, real, and fresh. I understand were in Nebraska, so I gave it 4 stars. All in all, I think that they could improve the quality of their ingredients and maybe make some of appetizers more authentic by experimenting with some recipes. But if youre looking for a night out with a little culture and some live music, this is the spot. We will be visiting again. Thanks for a fun night!

Very friendly staff. Loved the atmosphere!!. But if you are a New Orleans, LA native like i am, are in town and want to try to eat like you are back home dont do it! There is NO cajon flavor. Very bland. Crawfish tasted like they were just boiled in water. Obviously no zaterans used. Just very very bland. Only ate about half the meal. Oysters were the same. No cajon flavor on anything i tried. Had a band playing. Loved it but was too loud for comfort. Cannot have a conversation with the person next to you but honestly thats fine its just the lack of creol and cajon flavor that bummed me out. Please recommend to chef!!!! - use crawfish boil zaterans to fry crawfish and tony sacheries + creol seasoning on everything else. I would highly recommend a member of your kitchen go to louisiana, try our seafood, and see the MAJOR difference in flavors, so you can make the proper adjustments back home. Im going to leave you 4 stars because i want to help your business but im really hoping that you take my advice in kitchen. Thanks, Sean Catalanotto - new orleans native - born and raised!!

This place is absolutely amazing. I came in for my first time today. Chris was my server. He was fantastic and made great recommendations. His pace of service was on point too. My food was delivered within 4 minutes of ordering it. It was hot and you could tell it was freshly made. The portions were huge, normally when you have large portions you receive quantity over quality but the quality was great. You can tell they use good ingredients. The prices were very reasonable. They have very good lunch special deals. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was great. They were playing classic rock while I was there which was awesome! Over all great experience. I will definitely be back. I also left some menus at the hotel our company stays at. This place made our top list for our co workers to do on layovers which is over 5k employees. Thanks again!

This place is awesome!!! I am from the south and live in Omaha, Nebraska now and if you know anything about living in the south Cajun Food is a staple there. An ever since I moved here I have been looking for some good ole southern food to make me feel like im at home. I can honestly say "Jazz" takes me home each time ive eaten there. They have the best Cajun food in Nebraska (( hands down )), and the best thing about it is this Cajun food is legit. This place knows what theyre doing. If you are wanting to try real Cajun food, but cant afford to take a trip to the Great South take a trip to Jazz. They will give you the experience of the south. Thank You Jazz for making me feel like im at home each time I eat there.

Im not sure what the raves are about this place. 1st and last time dining here. The only thing good here was oysters. The food was mediocre and the service was horrible.... forgot about us for over an hour, meanwhile seating several dozen people. Finally seated the 4 of us and gave us 3 menus and no silverware. Took our drink order and only brought half of the drinks. A waitress from another tabe finally brought the drink 30 min later. The bill arrives with a gloating waitress acting like she did a fantastic job (ha!).... Spent $100 for 2 and left/threw out almost half our meal. Our entire group felt sick after. Not impressed.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Our party of 6 was seated right away even though the place was busy on a Saturday night. Our waitress was not attentive to say the least. It was obvious the place was understaffed but the customers in our section were extremely frustrated with our waitress. When it came time to pay our bill, it took her 4 attempts to get our bill right. Our total time spent at the restaurant was 2 hours!!! Aside from poor service, the food was very good and we will give the place another try as long as we have different wait staff.

I cant help ot if they dont bring it out right. she could care less. said maybe you.re day will get better and on your next visit we might get it right. there wont be a next visit. $80 wasted. only positive was the hushpuppies. thats it.

Very please with the service, atmosphere and best of all...the FOOD! We went early on a Friday, so we didnt get to take advantage of the live music, but we did get to see them set up a bit. Like I said, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic! We used to live in Louisiana, and Jazz doesnt disappoint! We used a Groupon, which totally sweetened the deal, but I know we will be back for more! Oh, and if you are looking for a good selection of local beers on tap, this is also the place!

Love Jazz. Great food at great prices. When you first look at the menu the prices may startle you, but you should know that the amount of food you get for the price is a lot, even with the cheaper dishes. You can fill yourself up for pretty cheap as well if you get a thing of Gumbo and a thing of Jambalaya. Even if you already ate out somewhere already, stop in to Jazz for desserts as they have a great dessert menu as well. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Omaha.
