If it would have let me rate it less then one (1) star i would have. Went there with a group of 14 and it was like they were in a total panic. It took over an hour to get our soup and salads out and they did not bring bread till we asked for it. The ceasar salad was ok, at best, and the dressing tasted right out of the bottle. It was another 45 minutes or so before the steak came. They put the guy sitting next to me steak in front of me so I began to eat. The steak looked right but did not look to be 14 ounces. A few minutes and a few bites later the waiter said oops I gave you his steak. I gave the guy sitting next to me the steak served to me. Needless to say he did not want it after I took a bite and the steak was cooked medium rare for me,not medium well for him. My steak was cooked medium well and still did not look like a 14 ounce steak. The guy sitting next to me sent his steak back, as I did, and said "never mind, send it back". He stopped by Mcdonalds later!!! During this entire fiasco the manager, later to be found out to be the owner, sat on his fat tookus at the bar talking to a couple of his buddies, not once even stopping by to see how we were, apoligize, ask forgiveness, offer a comp of some sort???? When he finally did come over, after much prompting, he said "well it takes time to cook and prepare salad, soup, and steaks and sides for 14, never once apologizing or saying sorry. He said if you want it faster for a group this size with no notice then maybe Outback can take care of you?????? There was only two other tables when we came in and exactly the same number when we left, one with two people and one with four. Lousy, lousy, lousy. I advised the concierge at our hotel to never send a guest(s) there if they want a good steak with good service.

I will be going back to explore more on the menu here. I went on a Tuesday night and was prepared for the menu prices that others have mentioned. I had the Norwegian salmon, grilled, with the steamed vegetables and sweet potato hash. This dish was $34 and absolutely worth it. I was surprised by a side salad to start the dinner, along with a hot, personal loaf of bread with some whipped butter. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a nice, thin and crispy coating of seasoning. The steamed veggies consisted of squash, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli. It had just the right amount of salt to bring out the vegetables flavors. I dont remember ever having anything like the sweet potato hash. It wasnt at all as I expected. The sweet potatoes were diced and covered with a thickish glaze of soy sauce(?). They were tasty. Oh, did I mention they had a person playing a guitar and doing some light singing? And I enjoyed some good service. Really nice. I went back a 2nd time last week with colleagues from work because others wanted to go here. I got the mid-size filet. Super tasty steak!

We have eaten at the Bluestone Steakhouse several times in the past year and have had excellent food and service every time. The first time we went I was not optimistic as we parked in the lot of the eclectic little strip mall. However, Bluestone is very nice inside without being fussy or stuffy. They have a nice wine list and adequate selection of beers. Our waiters have been knowledgeable and attentive without being annoying. One of the things we have really enjoyed about Bluestone is that it is quiet enough inside to visit with friends without shouting. Not always the case in even very expensive restaurants. They often have someone playing the piano but it is easily in the background. Their prices are very reasonable for a nice steakhouse. We have always ordered steak so cant speak to the other items on the menu but the steaks have been very good. All of our visits have been with friends that we dont see often so we have always lingered over dessert/coffee and never made to feel rushed. We will certainly go back again.

The food is very good but what makes going there so wonderful is my very dear friend who on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday plays Guitar and sings!!! I must admit that I truest believe that my friend Johnny Johnson is one of the best Guitar players, Singers, and Songwriters in America!!!!! Playing at this nice place isnt the best entertainment Johnny can provide because he has to play and sing so quietly!!! But if you can sit pretty close to him to where you can hear him as well as is possible then you will tell yourself how very wonderful he is!!!!!!! Please tip him well I ask that since he is such a dear friend of mine, also just FYI years back he had the Smokehouse Band and Captains Cabin Lounge which was just West of Memorial on East 41st Street!!!!! In addition to Johnnies extreme quality he to is a really nice person who you will really like when you meet him!!!! Mike Warrick

Bluestone Steakhouse and Seafood is one of our most favorite fine dining destinations within a cozy well appointed atmosphere, soft lighting, and easy listening live vocal music accompanied by piano and or guitar. The salads and appetizers are sumptuous and almost make a meal within themselves. My favorite entree, the 21-Day Aged Tenderloin Filet is simply superb. My wifes first choice is of the Jumbo Fried Shrimp, with the Chicken Marsala is our very close second. And last but by no means least are their marvelous deserts, especially so is the must have Bluestone signature Crème Brülé. The waitstaff are always most courteous, personable, attentive and quick with refills and to offer of an after dinner coffee or drink selection.

The food is excellent and the service is always great and their staff is very friendly. The food is not overpriced. Its an upscale restaurant, you pay for high quality and thats what you get. If any mistakes occur, they are minor and dealt with immediately. Please dont compare this restaurant to Chillis, youre obviously in the wrong market if you want a cheap steak. Also waiting upwards of 20 minutes or more on your food does not dictate a slow kitchen, their food is made fresh and they take their time preparing it properly. Any other negative arguments are old people being bitter because they are entitled.

What is up with all you self proclaimed steak experts whining... I had the best chicken fried chicken ever, and the service was superb! The lovely lady that served me was also a Pittsburgh Penguins fan that with the fact that I had the best chicken I have ever had at a "Steakhouse and Seafood" restaurant basically can mean only one thing... This establishment is better then anything else in the world and you should be ashamed to eat anywhere else ever. I came in with high expectations and left with them absolutely destroyed! TLDR: Beststone 11/10

Lovely ambiance, piano bar. Largest menu I ever saw and sounded mouth-watering. What a disappointment. It just didnt come off. Salad greens room temperature and limp. The tonic in the vodka-tonic was totally flat. Filet unsauced, with a tiny cup of mystery sauce on the side; definitely not the special pepper sauce I had ordered. If the chef learns to live up to this outstanding menu, it will be great. They are missing the details that make a great meal. The bread, however, was very good.
