Party of three adults, eating lunch. We ordered a brisket sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich, and a chicken wrap. All three meals plus drinks came in at 45 dollars total including tax and tip. The wait-staff definitely earned their pay and tips. They were really on top of everything. My glass never had a chance of getting down to halfway. My brisket tasted pretty good, and the portion size was decent. But the roll my sandwich was on was mediocre. It tasted like they bought some buns at the local grocery from the clearance bin. I dont even think they warmed it up before the slapped the meat on it and sent it out. My MiLs pork sandwich was Huge, and she really liked it. The bun was big, but it looked sad too. Ive seen McD buns that looked better. My wife really liked her chicken wrap. We all got fries and soft-drinks. The food wasnt bad, but I definitely walked away feeling like I was billed 45 dollars for what should have been a 30 dollar meal. I fear that I will never find a decent BBQ restaurant in the state of Utah.

Ok, let me first say I AM NOT A BBQ LOVER. My husband loves barbecue, and has been to Kansas City and back in search of the best BBQ around. We decided to try this place, and I personally was stunned to realize how much I liked BBQ when it was actually good. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we have been back three times now, each time we were equally pleased. The wings are amazing, the sauces are delicious, and the service is decent. The only thing I might mention that was a little less than excellent was the prices on the beer and wine menu, $8.50 for a glass of house Cabernet or Merlot is a little pricey. But the food was excellent, and we have never had to wait long. My husband has been taking me to places like Texas Roadhouse, Famous Daves, and other BBQ chains, and I the food is always mediocre, but GoodWood is where it is at. My husbands words are "Best BBQ since Kansas City"!

Had good experiences in the past. Have to say these guys know how to roll out the red carpet and the place is so much better than the very poor food available locally. Last time I went they gave me a whole new free sandwich because I forgot to ask for mayo with my club sandwich. That is long story but it shows these guys are amped on service. Its almost overwhelming. They are pretty fast too. If you are looking for a place to eat I doubt you will be disappointed. It is a safe place to eat near Ogden that is still on our ever shrinking list of Restaurants that dont suck. The menu is burger and sandwich type fair comparable to Red Robin. These guys do not get the traffic they have earned in service. The menu seems skewed to lunch rather than dinner with the sandwich and sides, which are dense and filling. You will enjoy a salad to lighten it up a bit. Have a beer. Stella on tap or an IPA.

I have eaten at GoodWood on and off for years and have to say that I rely on this place for good food, good service and I always get it. The burgers and BBQ are great, especially the BBQ Beef ribs. You will need the extra napkins and the servings are big so get ready for a doggie bag. They also have some really good mixed drinks as well and the prices are actually really reasonable. This is also a place that definitely cares about their customers. In the times I have gone, I have encountered 2 things on the menu that were just not good, and I am going to say in my opinion because I have heard others say they were great. When I told my server they took it away and took it off the bill with no irritations and that is what keeps this a great restaurant great.

Went in there today to place a "to-go" order. Keep in mind that Ive never been to Goodwood before. The manager Tyler greeted me along with the hostesses and immediately proceeded to ask me if Id like to place an order. I informed him that it was my first time there and that I was wondering about their ribs. Most restaurants will only describe to you the taste and texture, but Tyler and the bartender went above and beyond. They gave me actual samples of all three style of ribs and even gave me a sample of their brisket and "Burnt Ends." Everything is high quality at this location, including the service. Goodwood gets an 11/10 in my book. They will be seeing a lot more of me.

The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was, while busy, not loud. The service was average, though the manager was out on the floor checking in with costumers, which was nice. The real issue is with the food. My wifes "Sweeeet Chicken" included a chicken breast that was gristly and gross, while my "West Texas Ribs" required canine-sque savagery to consume the over-done meat. I guess my point is that when the side dishes are the highlight of the meal, and they were AMAZING, then something is a little off. Overall its an OK place to eat. Somewhere I might go back to if Im bored of the usual favorite spots.

We have stopped going to many restaurants because of the poor service alone. Happy to say that we will come to Goodwood BBQ again, because of the wonderful service and the delicious food! Our drinks were never empty, the food was tasty, and the environment was very nice. My husband, 4-yr old son and I will absolutely be back. The ONLY things we would change, is free refills on the strawberry lemonade, because most other restaurants offer that. And maybe some hot, dutch oven rolls served before the meal while you wait. Other than that... no complaints.

AMAZING service! The staff is super concerned about service. I have been there 3 different times and just because of EXTREMELY SMALL problems they were either willing to give us a free appetizer, free dessert, or pay for our meal completely on all different occasions. The manager is amazing and actually helps serve the food himself and is extremely involved with the staff. I have NEVER been treated better than at this restaurant. Food was amazing as well. Service + Food = more than 5 stars if I could!

..but not "great." the BBQ experience, for me, is 60% flavor and 40% tradition. The taste is pretty good, and there is a noticeable smoke flavor, but the texture is all too indicative that the ribs are par-boiled, which automatically disqualifies you from competition BBQ. Its not just about qualifying for competition, its the whole use of the BBQ pit and smoking from start to finish that makes it a complete experience. Overall, I give them a 7 on flavor and a 3 on tradition.

I would give them a lower rating but it doesnt give me the option. We went here tonight and we were greeted with, "sorry we are out of ribs, pork, beef brisket, chicken and macaroni." Thats crap! 6:30 pm and they dont have anything for dinner? Thats a really poor business practice. Beef and pork is the only reason why anyone comes to dickeys. My wife wanted to go there for her birthday and a movie and it ruined our timeline. Im not happy.

Although I like my BBQ a little more Texas Outback, my wife loves Goodwood and I understand why. Its a cheerful, pleasant, somewhat upscale (compared to Texas Outback, anyway) environment and the service is always stellar. We love the burnt ends but the sausage, turkey and brisket are all first class too. Service is exemplary and we never leave hungry. If you find yourself out on Riverdale Road, Goodwood is a great choice for lunch or dinner.
