I absolutely dislike this place. My experience was horrible. The prices are bad, the portions are bad, and most importantly...The SERVICE is BAD. I went there to order my sweet and sour chicken meal, and I wanted to know how big their large takeout box was, and the service was very rude to me. First off, they did not speak English. Secondly, when I asked a simple question, I was asked to donate money into their money donations to get an answer. They were very rude all together, and I will never eat there again. The food was bad too. If you are absolutely sure you want to eat at this particular establishment located here in McMinnville, TN, go right on ahead, but they are a bad establishment all together. I know they run other chains throughout TN., but this one in particular is a bad one. Also, be prepared, they do not take credit cards or debit cards...have cash on you, and the food takes forever to order. If you want that for a meal and you have other places to go, do them first while your meal is getting prepared.

Avoid China Wok, Ive been eating here since they first opened back in the 90s. They used to be the absolute best Chinese in the entire area. However in the past couple of years the service has slipped significantly. The young lady that answers the phone and takes the orders is rude and unfriendly. However this isnt my only problem, the quality of the food has also went down since the young man took over the business from his father a few years ago. He is also abrupt and somewhat rude himself, the food used to be the tastiest around and is now somewhat bland and often over or under cooked. I am a truck driver that travels all over the Country and I could have honestly said at one time China Wok could compare with the best Chinese places I have ever eaten. Now I hesitate to eat here, I often wait till I go to work in Shelbyville and eat at the Chinese buffet there next to Wal-Mart. My Advice avoid this restaurant they arent worth the money anymore.

Dont know what restaurant L Mooneyham went to but we are regulars here for years and have eaten there literally dozens and dozens of times and almost anything they serve is always great. The best take out here in McMinnville, the food is fresh and hot and stays that way for good while. The chicken with broccoli, General tso, and terriaki chicken are very good. The white rice is even better than anywhere else. Never a problem with the staff. I think people should give a place more than 1 chance if they had a problem, not just have a problem once and then just blow it off forever and tell everyone else to do the same. I always give a place to eat 3 strikes before their out! Also, this place is always very busy from many loyal repeat customers and that should be a good sign for any eatery.

I love eating at China Wok. Great food and you get plenty for the price. True that the lady who usually takes the orders does not have the best personality, but she has always gotten my order right and all fixed quickly. She has never been rude to me. I dont mind hearing the people talking their language while they cook, its interesting listening to them while Im waiting for my food.

This is the best Chinese restaurant Ive ever been too, by far. The food is always very fresh tasting, and cooked perfectly. You can get great lunch deals, I get the Sesame Chicken, white rice, egg roll, with my choice of soup for $5. Thats crazy cheap. The rice is delicious also.

Great Chinese carryout.... Visit once a week usually... Call in and pickup. Also sometimes it is entertaining when the staff all yell at each other in their language. Only complaint is that it is cash only, which tells me they are cheating on their taxes for sure...

Love the beef hunan,the rice, the eggrolls,and several others. You get a lot of food for a great price I can eat half and have a lot left for lunch the next day. You have to have cash and They do take a check but no debit or credit card.

General Tsos chicken is always perfectly made at China Wok. Beyond their delicious food is there generous portions. Definitely a must-have when youre looking for a true value in Chinese food.
