EXCELLENT food, 5 star service, great food menu, great drink menu, the atmosphere is high class mixed with traditional Italian and it leaves you feeling relaxed. Literally everything about this restaurant is top of the line. And Patty OTooles review is stupid. I came here with my fiancée (whos female), and she was treated like gold, the gentlemen were very polite and courteous. Heck she was treated nicer than I was, and I paid the bill, lol. If Patty is upset she wasnt attended to properly because they were unusually busy, I get it. (However that sort of thing can happen at ANY restaurant so its kind of a pointless review.) But for her to sit there and insinuate that these good men were sexist and ignored her because she was a woman? That is utterly ridiculous, -and borders on defamation. She should delete her review. I have many good, smart, proud, wonderful women in my family. And Bonaroti has treated them all well. You shouldnt slander the name of a good man and an amazing restaurant just out of your political views and desire to bring identity politics into everything. That just isnt right No, Patty, you werent ignored because you were a woman. You were ignored because they were busy attending to a packed restaurant full of otherwise happy guests and a 16 person table, and the poor waiter probably didnt have a moment to breathe the entire night. Shame on you for making it all about you to the point you act like theyd really ignore you because of your genitalia. Ridiculous

Excellent. The decor and ambiance is cozy and relatively quiet. It was refreshing after recently trying several nicer restaurants in DC with high noise levels and cramped seating. The waiter was very friendly and courteous and wanted to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The pacing is such that you can relax and dont feel rushed to order immediately. They start you out with bread and 2 different spreads. Their menu is extensive in addition to a large list of daily specials. I ordered one of the specials, the Monkfish picatta and my date ordered the spaghetti chris cooley. We both really enjoyed our entrees and you could tell that everything was homemade and freshly prepared. It was my dates birthday and they brought out a piece of mango cake which was delicious. I also observed who I believe is the owner walking around and making sure people were having a good experience. That was a nice touch to an already great experience. Highly recommend.

Bonaroti is simply amazing!!!! The food is excellent, the servers are nice. The place is very welcoming. You are usually welcome by the owner who is very nice, but if not then the servers are very welcoming as well. I was uncertain in what to eat and the servers gave me many options and recommendations. The food is absolutely delicious, good bread and I love the wine. It has definitely become one of my most favorite places. If you know the owner is good and if you dont like me then dont take it personal if he doesnt come to your table. A lot of people that go there know each other for a long time......love it, my kids love it as well.

I have eaten in the best restaurants all over the world !!!! This one for quality and selection of foods and service is in my top three for sure. We come back here whenever we can to eat there !!!! We just flew in from Naples Florida for a few nights to eat every night at Bonarotis. I tell all my friends who are traveling to the DC/Va area to make sure they stop there for a meal......Sergio is the best and cannot do enough for you while you are his guest in his house........Dont miss it.....written menu as well as verbal menu nightly...always changes.....Love this place.......

Top 10 benefits of eating here are: 1. the food is hot and fresh 2. its Quiet enough to talk, 3. It has stood the test of time and been around a long time 4. Incomparable value compared to every chain steak house. 5. Great ambiance 6. Comfy high end bar for a snack or a drink. 7. The host Sergio personally makes sure you have a good experience 8. Great location with easy parking. 9. Extensive wine list with many Italian wines. 10. Unlike every other restaurant, they dont RUSH YOU!. I will return.....

Wonderful service and food! That keeps us coming back whether eating on the patio, in the bar or being pampered at the dining room. Love their manicotti and cannolis which they make with a crepe wrapper so it is more tender. Some serious wines if you want but the basic offerings are all very good. Bonaroti is a long time Vienna tradition that just keeps getting better!

I have been going to Bonarotis since 1989. I have had business dinners there as well as many, many family dinners. Sergio never disappoints. In fact, when my now son-in-law wanted to ask for our blessing to marry my daughter, he took us to Bonarotis. Lots of memories, lots of wonderful food. Put yourselves in Sergios hands and let him wow you.

Wonderful!!! This was a great place for good food, great drinks and first class service. What I liked the best is that we could hear each other, which is unlike other places that are so loud you cant hear a thing. They are generous with the liquor and even give complementary ameretto with dessert, whats not to like!?

Great food, awesome service. Theres not much more you can ask for. I took a couple of coworkers out to dinner here while they were visiting NoVA and they enjoyed it so much they came back the following evening. I will also note, one of them had a Gluten allergy and the restaurant was extremely accommodating.

One of the most authentic Italian restaurants I have ever visited. The food is truly great. In addition to the regular menu, every time I go there are new specials. I try something different everytime I go, so I cannot say I have a "go to" dish. And...the service is exceptional whether I wear jeans or a suit.

Go here! Seriously! We went on a whim for the first time recently and we are SO GLAD that we did! The food was excellent (try the fresh homemade pasta & the daily specials!) and the service was excellent to match. This place is a hidden gem! Paul, our waiter was amazing! Ask to sit in his section.

The ambiance is fantastic, and the food is even better. A true classical family Italian restaurant. A bit pricey at about $25 per entree for dinner, but for a great night out, its well worth the cost. I would particularly suggest getting the handmade Tiramisu for dessert. Fantastico!

We just had supper here and the only really impresive things were the prices compared to the taste of the food. You can find just as good, or maybe better, in the canned and frozen foods section of the Safeway just a couple blocks away. We will NOT return.

Classic Italian family restaurant with many years of service. Warm bread with butter, sundried tomato paste, and olive tapenade for everyone. Went for lunch and had veal and chicken - both dishes were well done. Good food and attentive service.

My wife and I love this place. We have come here several times, and are always greeted warmly, not like how they treat you at a chain restaurant. Then there is the food, always authentic. Always excellent. We will continue to go here often.
