What awesome/hip place the Bunga Burger Bar is!! For starters the environment in the restaurant is like being in a really nice NYC styled restaurant with neon lights, and fancy flat screen TVs. You just get that vibe of wanting to go dancing right away, perfect for a date night out. The lady owner greeted us right away, and we sat right at the nice looking neon bar. She went out of the way to tell us the best stuff on the menu. DRINKS: They have a VERY expansive array of beers on tap, along with the beer menu. The bar tender was very informative of giving us helping hints on how to fully utilize the bar menu. The neatest thing is that the beer menu comes with a guide to mix and match other beers to come up with a totally different flavor- NEAT. So with the help of the bar-tender, my date and I came up with a variety of tasty beer concoctions. I had a Apple Cider Mixed beer which tasted out of this world. BURGERS: I ordered the Pineapple Jack Bunga- The burger came out just the way I ordered it to be medium, and it was juicy and flavorful. The pineapple rum salsa was to die for, really went well with the juicy burger. The avocado, lettuce and tomato were so fresh on top, you can tell the restaurant prides itself in using fresh ingredients. The mozzarella cheese oozed on top the burger, with the bacon being a sizzling finale. They do have a selection of lighter fare burgers, and of course my date had to order the Turkey Bunga Burger. Now the toppings itself which included baby spinach, feta cheese, red peppers, and cucumbers all tasted amazing. The turkey patty was VERY dry, where I wanted more of the Greek yogurt sauce on top to overcome its dryness. Like the other reviews say, this is NOT a place for healthy burgers. I personally think they should get rid of that section on the menu, which is why it lost a STAR for me. SIDES: the sweet potato wedges are the way to go!!! It was sprinkled lightly with brown sugar, and glazed over with honey...it tasted like eating a fresh glazed sweet potato, not that overly fried kind you can find anywhere else. The chef came out periodically to see how everything was, which was a nice touch to the whole meal experience there. Also seeing the owner run the place like a smooth ship, really helped you appreciate the value of coming here to eat. Overall: fast service, great beer, stylish bar, amazing burgers, not so tasty healthy choices, inter-personal staff, reasonably priced, and a FUN TIME!!--I will be back.

Bung Burger is definitely a bar atmosphere. I enjoyed the selection of meats for the burgers, but surprised by the amount of sauces they offer, for a fee. I got a burger wrap wand asked them to put ketchup into the wrap along with mayo. The waiter insisted they could only give it to me on the side. Even though it was a very slow day there on a Monday afternoon, I was surprised at the time it took to receive the food. The food was delicious, the waiter was polite and nice, but overall it was overpriced. I dont think you should be charged for sauces when your already paying $12 for a cheeseburger wrap. 5 stars would be gained when the prices drop to a sustainable price. College Town is a wonderful area, but its not hard to walk down the street to a different restaurant to get a similar burger, for a cheaper price, that doesnt charge for blue cheese.

Wow, this was one of the best burgers that Ive had in a long time! I was visiting from out of town and decided to go for dinner after after he bed and breakfast I was staying at showed me menu. Finding a parking space was tough - but I ended up parking right in front of the restaurant and arrived at the same time as a police officer stopping to get dinner next door at Chipotle. The service was amazing and I was halfway through my burger when I saw the cop leaving Chipotle after just getting his food. I would highly recommend the Blu burger although theres a half dozen burgers that I would also like to try! Im also tempted to try one of their adult milkshakes! The price was perfect too - dinner for two with drinks came out to less than $35!

We ordered 6 lunches. We called it in. They took the order. They then, proceeded to tell the guy that we sent to pickup said lunches that there was a 10% upcharge for multiple orders. WTF? Next time, would you want us to call 6 separate orders in and pick them all up under 6 different names or JUST GO ELSEWHERE? Hey, I answered my own question. Thank you! General opinion is that Charlies and Schallers are money better spent. Fries were soggy, bottom of roll was hard and stale. Burger: DRY. Thoroughly disappointed. And the fact that i got nailed for $11.75 for this is lunacy. Do students really NOT know good/bad food to patronize this swill?

I stopped by Bunga Burger Bar yesterday with a couple friends and ordered the Pulled Pork Bunga... Best sandwich I ever had in my life with fries that actually werent all that bad in comparison to most other places. Amazing service, even better food, a pretty decent sized menu, quick yet efficient preparation and reasonable pricing! Heck, I may even go back again this weekend! The world needs to know this is a thing.

I went there with my wife, father in law and 10 month old son. Our server was Anne, and she was great! She was friendly, accomodating and even went above and beyond to tell the kitchen not to put honey on my sons sweet potato fries (can cause botulism in babies). We were all raving about the burgers that we ordered, and agreed that this is definitely one of our new favorite spots in Rochester.

Bunga burger has a clean, modern design that nicely straddles a sit down restaurant and a bar. The outdoor seating is casual and lovely, particularly with their happy hour from 3-6. My burger came out overcooked, but it was still delicious and definitely worth it. The fries were also a cut above the rest, just the right consistency. On top of it all? They have WiFi. Well worth the stop in.

This is the best burger place ever. EVER. We go there so frequently, the waitstaff know us and know our order. Theyre very friendly, greet us when we enter, and wave goodbye as we leave. Everything is fresh, wonderfully seasoned, and I cant get enough of the delicious aiolis they put on their specialties. Food comes quickly which makes for the perfect lunch break.

Im a big foodie, and this place is AWESOME! Its a little bar big in heart, with a great atmosphere. The staff was more then friendly, the food was great. The quality of the ingredients was more then I would expect from most restaurants. As far as cost for quality, its a terrific value. I would highly recommend this establishment to all locals and travelers alike!

Decent burger place, but it can be really hit or miss. Of the 5 or 6 times Ive been, its been excellent about half the time. On my most recent visit the burger patties seem to be thinner and wider than usual. Also the chocolate milkshake isnt made with chocolate ice cream anymore. Just vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup
