I really hate giving a mom and pop shop a bad review. it takes a lot for me to do that. from the time we walked in I wondered about that place. from the cheap welder from Harbor Freight sitting on the floor and the ripped up welding glasses box to the catering supplies next to the fish tank and the patio full of trash just looking deserted I wonder if this place was going to be okay. although Ive had a friend of mine Rave about the food here so we gave it a shot. neither server seemed to know half of what was going on but we just kind of went with it. we were told buns were included in the meat sampler and on the bill they were an extra charge. the coleslaw sounded wonderful from the service description but when it came out it was flavorless and I needed to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it taste good. overall the service was not very good yamma sphere was not very good and unfortunately we all left very disappointed. although I have to say the brisket was decent but just serving a plate of beef and pork doesnt work for me. and of course they were out of one of the meats that was supposed to go on our sampler along with seasonal vegetables. at least the music playing in the background was good. sorry mr. owner I will not be returning to your store I would rather go to Applebees over your restaurant and I only go to Applebees once every 5 years when I forget what it taste like. unfortunately it explains why there was only two tables and there at dinner hour on a Saturday night and one of the tables was us.

I have tried several BBQ places here in town, and nothing compares to this one. Kenny, the owner, has that enjoyable Guy Fierri love of food, and it shows. The smoker is out front on the patio, so you get treated to the amazing smell of the cooking. The ghost pepper BBQ sauce is delicious, and not as hot as it sounds (not that Id recommend smothering something in it because that WILL be hot). The food has never been anything less than stellar. Wait time is usually about 30 minutes for food. Its a seat yourself kind of joint. Very laid back and relaxing atmosphere, so spending time here is not a negative. The food is dry rub, so you add your own sauce at the table, which is how I prefer my BBQ to be so that I can really taste the effort spent developing his unique spuce combination on the meat. Definitely come here!

They sat us at almost closing time and still gave great service. We had racks of ribs, fries and the green chile mac & cheese. Everything was great. Ribs were good quality meat, werent fatty and were seasoned well. Bbq sauces were yummy. Wish the sweet bbq sauce was more sweet and tangy than it was spicy and maybe have a mustard bbq sauce as an option would make it even better. Fries seemed to be fresh cut and were great! Would have been greater with ranch. Ranch is important =D I wanted to take some of the mac & cheese home it was so good. Sweet tea was refreshing. Owner was nice and our server was attentive. We support locally owned and would love to see this place stay open and continue serving good food. We will be back to see Barbe & Que!

Order thru grubhub said my food would arrive at 8:04. Call grubhub talk to driver. Driver tells me she was walking around my apartment complex for 20 min. First why not call me 5 min after you couldnt find my place. At 8:20 tells me she is at my place another 20 min later shows up. Saying she walked tired and walked so far. There a illuminated map in front of the complex. Dominoes pizza Hut Jimmy John never had a problem finding me. When asked her why she lied. Made excuses I dont want hour old bbq. Again who would walk around a apartment for almost a hour looking for a apartment and you have my contact info. This my first attempt to order food from you establishment I will never try again. Poor customer service

Just tried this little hole in the wall...wow! The name makes perfect sense...first bite of my falling-off-the -bone perfectly smoked ribs...and that is what flew out of my mouth after swallowing! Hek Yeah! Also had some brisket...delicious, spicy and perfectly marbled with fat. Slaw was outstanding as were the spicy fries. Chef brought me out sone black eyed peas to try gratis....and they were a cajun inspired delight, tasting similar to red beans and rice. The excellent sweet tea gave a welcome relief from the liberal and masteful use of spices. This might not be a place to bring someone on a first date...its more of a place to come when you are really in love.... :-)

We live close by so we figured we need to check out all the local places. I was quite surprised that a hole in the wall could churn out such good quality food. It starts with the wonderful BBQ smells that hit your nose as you get out of the car, to the fresh baked cookies, brownies and cakes waiting for you at dessert. Hek Yeah is owned by a husband and wife team and this definitely seems like a labor of love. To validate the food, I had to start with the St. Louis ribs and wow, the rub he puts on them is amazing. The meat is lean and falls right off the bone. I wouldnt feel bad about using no BBQ sauce except his homemade personal recipe is so good! If you go, go early.

We were there for hours! Every time we asked, our food was "on its way". I wish we would have walked out the first couple of times we asked because when the food arrived it was very disappointing. Tasteless and more expensive than our usual places. I have no idea where these 5 star reviews are coming from. Every table and take out customer we saw were complaining. This is the first time I have EVER left a bad review for anyone. IT WAS THAT BAD! Our waitress was a wonderful woman but couldnt save our night.

Tasty, tasty! This bbq is the peppery, spicy kind not necessarily sweet. The last two times we have gone the meat has been really juicy and tender. The sides are all good. We have had the fries, beans, potato salad, and seasonal veggies. The best part was last time when we ordered a salad, I was impressed. I completely expected a basic salad with some s**t ranch dressing. BUT they had homemade dressing and the salad was bomb. They were out of dressing this time but I will definitely be ordering next time.

My Family and I were trying to get a real BBQ lunch on Easter Sunday, but every where was closed. I called up HEK Yeah and they were open. The owner was very nice. He provided us with a sample of his Delicious brisket while we waited for our food. It was very tender and moist. We order the meal for Four and everything was flavorful and well cooked. We got a rack of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, beans, and Cole slaw. Great food will definitely eat there again.
