Boudin SF specializes in making tasty sourdough bread. They do make it locally, so it is always fresh. The restaurant has many menu items built around food with their bread such as a bread bowl for soup and then a selection of various sandwiches, bread croutons for salads and even bread for french toast in the morning. The majority of the food is good quality, the customer service is good-to-excellent and they offer a military discount if you present the appropriate ID card, such as a CAC. The sandwiches provide the best flavor experience followed by the bread bowls. They do have beer and wine with a happy hour pricing for people who want more than fountain drinks and flavored tea. Definitely worth a try if you are in Vacaville.

Took my wife and family here for Mothers day. She loves the bread so we thought it would be fun. The bread was the only good thing. I had the blue note burger, pathetic piece of meat definitely a frozen and microwave defrosted burger, 2 crumbles of blue cheese you should be able to taste the blue cheese on a blue cheese burger. Caesar salads werent even tossed, the croutons are terrible the dressing isnt good either. The kids Turkey sandwich was served as a couple slabs of Turkey on a dry piece of sourdough "yum". Dont stop just keep driving there is far better food within throwing distance. Nothing here was worth coming back. The staff was friendly but the food is terrible and expensive! I dont mind expensive as long as its good.

I ordered Grilled ham and cheese and it was wonderful! The bread had Parmesan cheese baked into it and the blend of cheesey goodness paired well with their rustic tomato soup. The soup isnt the same like you would get from Campbells, but reminded me more of a marinara taste. The customer service was great and the staff was very friendly. I cant wait to go back to try some more!

We ordered sandwich and combo half sandwich plus soup. Both good. The soup of the day (asparagus) was delicious. The environment is nice and clean. It took longer than a fast food to have our food, but a reasonable amount of time. Size was perfect for me, since I dont like huge plates. Not cheap for the size, but good quality food. You can see the breads being made.

Food was great as usual but I thought the employees sitting in the dining area watching movies or videos on a computer was inappropriate. There was 2 employees taking up 2 tables, one was watching the computer and the other was just slouching doing nothing. 2 elderly ladies had to sit at a dirty table while these 2 employees watched them. Not a good impression!!

Great food, generous portions, fast, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere (without blaring music), and a good kids menu. Best restaurant weve ever found in Vacaville, which is the best place for us to stop on our trips between Redding and the Bay Area. Love Fentons ice cream/shakes, but not their food. Thrilled to have Boudins to look forward to now!

Nice menu with unique breads. Salad as side option is good in place of chips. Kind towards dogs and brought out a water bowl in the outside dining area. Lots of baked goods inside. I ate the Turkey Avocado on dark sourdough.. Avocado is a spread, not sliced.. fast service. Tasty food.

Great fresh bread with a crunchy crust. I had the turkey and avocado sandwich. It was great. A little heavy on the mayo, but i like that. The included salad was a little wilted but OK. Overall its a pretty good deal.

Amazing soups and sandwiches. First time here. Unfortunately they were out of sourdough bread or bread bowls, but it was still great. I recommend the clam chowder and turkey havarti sandwich.
