Close to midtown, was here last night for a beer gathering to learn about what they do here in terms of brewing beer. Brewery is located right next to or beneath the restaurant. Matt and Sam walked us through a flight of 4 different beers, explained the makeup of each, great to know that they also involved the midtown community(this year) in making their Pumpkin Ale. A bit too spicy (heavily spiced) to my taste, but they do have a loyal following every year. My favorite is their 5-grain lager with a bit of burnt sugar or caramel-y aroma, although dark in color, it is very smooth. Our group volunteered to come back next year to help them with peeling their pumpkins... we forgot to negotiate for a free pint after a long day of work. We did order a few appetizers, they were all very good, the crowd winner was Beet chips...you have to try it next time you go.

I used to be a huge fan of the place, but a recent experience turned me off. I ordered the Pork Porterhouse and was told that the cook likes to cook it medium. I ate it and it tasted good, but later that night I wasnt feeling well. The next day I had cold sweats, aching muscles, and couldnt be more than a few yards from a toilet. My wife emailed the restaurant to notify them that they might have some bad pork or something. They replied with an email stating that it wasnt their pork and that they went to a fancy school so were dumb for thinking that theyd serve tainted pork. Needless to say, it was NOT a professional way to handle the situation. They do have good tasting food here, but its not worth the risk of food poisoning. I am now letting anyone and everyone know that the cooks are arrogant and to not trust their food preparation. I will never go back.

First time in Reno. Wanted to find a fun, local eatery and hit the motherload with Silver Peak. Loved the great variety on the menu. The sweet potato tots were crunchy, sweet, and paired with a yummy maple dipping sauce. We order the five cheese grilled sandwich and the Caribbean jerk pizza. The grilled cheese was creamy and rich in flavor, especially loved the smoked gouda. The pizza had a great wheat crust with well-caramelized veggies and tender chicken. Needed a bit more jerk sauce, which the waitress promptly brought. My hubby ordered their stout beer and thought it was one of the smoothest and tastiest stouts hes ever had. Would definitely go back and sample their other items.

Just had lunch here last week on our way home to LA. I ordered the Black Bean Nachos with chicken...and it was very good. It was a lot of food but then again, nachos should be big. The beer selection was pretty good as well, I ordered the McHineys Wee Heavy Scotch Ale and boy was that good! I really enjoy ordering and trying local brews. The atmosphere was light and inviting and clean. Service was great, our waitress was very nice and helpful with our questions and orders. I will definitely come here again and recommend this place to anyone traveling through Reno.

The rooftop patio is a great place to enjoy one of Silver Peaks many excellent house-brewed beers. I sampled the Radler which was a light and refreshing mix of grapefruit soda and pilsner that paired perfectly with a hot summer day. The food was good and their menu has lots of variety- my guest and I sampled the nachos and margarita pizza. The nachos were standard bar food but the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The pizza was excellent- they make the dough using grains from their brewery which gives it a distinct hearty flavor. Great experience!

Outdoor patio was fun, though covered in cheap plastic chairs which doesnt really fit in with the finishes inside, the well appointed bar outside and expensive ceramic heaters above each table outside. Chicken wings and sauces were good. Red beer was good, IPA was ok, Weizenbock was flat and too sweet - not at all reminiscent of a heffeweizen as described on the menu.

I have been coming here for over 7 years and have never had bad food or bad service until last few 2-3 visits. Although very friendly service and patrons. Food quality and portions have gone down the drain over past few months. The manger says it is the owner who decide with the changes and they are helpless. Please take note.

I went to eat with my pregnant wife at a normal lunch hour. And we were seated in a normal time. We get seated in a room with nobody in it and then the waitress never came back. We didnt get water nor did we even get asked of we wanted any thing to drink. And to top it all off the place looks like a dump inside, it was filthy

Best burger I have had in a long time! Great beers, good service - though we were there in the middle of the afternoon, so they werent very busy. The waiter suggested a beer and when I told him it wasnt my favorite he apologized and didnt charge me. Thats great service. I cant wait to go back.

Great food at good prices with a friendly staff, that equals a great time in my book. I got the Jambalaya which had good flavor, spice and combination of meats. My buddy had the clam chowder and said it was the best hed ever had, the texture, seasoning and temperature were perfect.

Waited 25 minute never acknowledged by any of the staff. Not even offered water. Looked like a slow night without a lot of staffing issues. Staff was seen joking behind the bar at least half the time I was there.

One of renos original craft brewers. They have some good brews and original special releases. With the ever changing new breweries coming around they seem content in remaining who they are for better or worse.

Awesome food. My dad and I had both chicken sandwiches. (Santa Fe Chicken, Barley Crusted Chicken Sandwich) both paired with the house citrus ale. Steve was our server, enthusiastic, and all around great guy.

Love this place mostly for the beer. The food is good, but nothing particularly special. Inexpensive, but also not cheap. Friendly staff and good service. The rooftop seating is wonderful in the summer.

Excellent food, excellent service. I asked for a shake that was not on menu. Our waiter steppped it up and made one. The food was delicious. Music a bit loud yet overall experience was great.

Had the Bailey Wheat and lamb burger. The cheese and olives really put the burger over the top and finishing with one of the best hefeweizens I have had would make me come back over and over

The rooftop was a Great experience, mountain view, pleasant atmosphere, the food was perfect and the beer doesnt get any better than this home brew. And the price was reasonable also.

Sat at this place for an hour after we ordered and finally the waitress came back and said the kitchen had closed as she forgotten to tell us. Very upset with this place, wont go back.

Walked there from the Silver Legacy and it was well worth the walk. Great lamb burger and an excellent porter. The red wasnt bad either. Would go there again, even if I had to walk.

Super good for from a brewpub, beer selections were in line with what I like, more European based beers lighter on the hops. With nice weather the top outside deck is great.
