This is my first review of a restaurant. I am only doing it because I felt so mislead by the other reviews. I would not be surprised if they paid to have bad reviews taken down from yelp and google. My fiance and I went here after the glowing reviews. When we arrived at 6 pm on a Wednesday, the place was completely empty. We thought it was a mistake and sat down anyways. The place smelled like cleaning solution and fried food. The atmosphere/decor was on par with a low end McDonalds. We ordered the Hot and Sour soup which was decent. However, the Mongolian Beef was INCREDIBLY salty, and my Fiances Pan Fried Chow Mein Seafood was slimy and bland. We tried to finish the meal but couldnt. We got up, paid the check and were about to leave when our server (whom we believe to be the owner) asked us why we didnt want a to-go box. When we told her, she became defensive and told me the the Mongolian Beef was very popular. She also told my fiance that she should have selected the House Special Pan Fried Chow Mein with the beef and pork instead of the seafood (my fiance is a pescatarian and only eats seafood). Atmosphere 1-10 (1 being an alley dumpster 10 being a Michelin star restaurant): 3 Food 1-10 (1 being the sludge at the bottom of the alley dumpster 10 being the special at a Michelin star restaurant): 3 Service 1-10 (1 being an armadillo 10 being a concierge service): 3

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant and I make sure to visit at least once a week. The food is absolutely delicious! The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous and healthy, and each dish is filled with flavor. Each meal is customizable so you can choose from three kinds of soup, sides, and even three types of rice. The Mongolian Beef is my favorite meal; it’s so yummy! The atmosphere is clean and pleasant, and the staff are such wonderful and friendly people. Their service is prompt and excellent, their treatment is very personal, and they often take the time to converse with me. In addition, they are always providing little touches that really enhance my experience and show they genuinely care about their customers. For example, I had a cold a few weeks ago but I still wanted to satisfy my Chinese food cravings. After my meal, they prepared me a drink of hot water and lemon to take home, and it really helped me feel better. I have taken many of my family and friends to Blue Bay, and everyone loves it. It’s really a wonderful restaurant. I hope it remains here for many more years to come. Thank you! :)

This is one of those places that we sadly see come & go because their prices are very fair, the food is very fresh & they must not have the budget for advertising, I have seen the Best Asian restaurants, Mexican Restaurants etc. go out of business because they try to serve the best freshest food & not get the business that a trashy low budget place gets because there money is spent on whatever, but not so fresh as greasy & cheap. This place is an A+, a true "10"! I hope they can make it serving quality food at a fair price, few can. Their restrooms are very clean, I say this because the first thing I will check with a restaurant is the bathroom before ordering, if they cannot keep the restroom clean, the kitchen is worse. Fire inspectors have shown me what kitchens can look like & a good indicator is the restroom. FYI. Sorry to get off the subject. Dont let a place like this go!

We are so happy that the previous Chinese restaurant is GONE! The Mexican restaurant next door is one of our favorites, and we like Chinese as well. After a couple bad experiences there we never went back. When I saw the new name and menu I decided to give it a try. GLAD WE DID! Brown rice! Are you kidding me? Healthy Chinese food, here. Of course you can always opt for white or ham fried, but I love the brown rice option. Food is served fresh and piping hot, generous portions and FANTASTIC flavor. Yes, I am yelling about the flavor. The vegetarian options are plentiful, and my meat eater tells me it is good as well. Welcome to the neighborhood!

I give 4.5 stars. My favorite Chinese restaurant. We dine in or take out 2-3x/month for the last year. Fresh, great flavors of spices and seasoning. My favorite menu items are General Tao, Szechuan Chicken, Beef with Broccoli and the Lo mein. Order extra egg rolls to go for the midnight snack. My order is always quickly prepared and my water glass is never empty. Great family business, clean and friendly. Keep it up. I wish they had a location north of SLC. (hint) 10/30/15 Eating lunch here again for the umpteenth time. Great food, great service.

I love Chinese food and Blue Bay is great at it! You may not find ultra-authentic food, but what you will find are fresh ingredients and great flavor in every dish. I have eaten here many times and have really enjoyed every dish. I think one of the best things I can say about this restaurant is that I never feel sick to my stomach after I eat their food, which is what invariably happens when I eat at other Chinese restaurants. The staff is kind and attentive. It is definitely worth your trip and its great to support this local business.

I went in here based on the high rating it had on google and other local food websites. I was not disappointed. The food was great, and definitely a good value as far as the prices go. The hostess/waitress for us was extremely attentive and helpful. Restaurant was clean and quiet. While it was somewhat standard as far as menu items go, the Egg Drop soup was fantastic and the Hot & Sour soup was delicious. I loved my experience here, and will be returning.

Wow!! Family just devoured the food! Best chinese food weve had in a while! Ordered for delivery, got it in 15min. I live pretty far and they still delivered! Sesame chicken were to die for, sweet and sour shrimp were excellent, they separated the sauce which I appreciate, and gee it came with a ton! Also I asked for no onions on my fried rice and they listened! I definitely recommend this place to anyone whos looking for a great chinese restaurant!

Good atmosphere, good food, I would say for r he way I am with the cleanliness, this place is great, is the first time in a very long time that I check my silverware and it was spotless, so as the cups and glasses. The only thing I could say negative is, they dont have options for children in their menu, not even milk. Not a terrible thing I guess but very vital for me as a mother of a picky child. Otherwise go for it. Will go again thou.

So my favorite Chinese food place (Asian Potato) was closed and I decided to try this place because it had so many good reviews. I dont understand how anyone could call this great Chinese food, it sucked! The lo mein was flavorless, the Kung Pao wasnt at all spicy, and the veggie egg rolls were soggy and overpriced! I regret ever giving them a chance, they didnt deserve my money. They will never get my business again.

This is a terrific place! Such a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. You will get a warm welcome and hot food! I really love the vegetable soup, which is a nice change from hot and sour or egg drop. But those are delicious, too. The lunch specials are a real bargain, and we like the fact that its easy to order a dinner special at night! All in all, we are so happy that Blue Bay opened here!
