This is a sweet and sour chicken bowl (see attached picture) with extra meat. As you can see not much in the meat department. Whats more, what there is of it was terrible. The chicken tasted freezer burned, and the batter had swelled away from the chicken giving it a gooey texture. the rice was dry and and had a burnt taste to it. Ive never been to a Chinese restaurant that couldnt cook rice before! I also had the crab wontons. Unfortunately, these werent very good either. Typically I expect crab wontons, crab puffs, crab rangoon, whatever you want to call it ,to be a sweet cream cheese with finely chopped crab meat mixed-in, wrapped in a wonton. These however where coarsely chopped crab meat or something appearing to be crab meat wrapped in a wonton, yuck! I would like to note however, the employees were very friendly, and the fortune cookies were quite good. Some time ago Pei Wei changed its name to Pei Wei Test Kitchen, and clearly they have more tests they need to do.

My feelings about this location are mixed, there have been times where the food was fantastic, the service great and my orders comes out super fast. And then there are times where the food tastes...off Im not sure how to describe it, my assumption is that the cooks will heat their oil past its smoke point and it gives this weird rubber-y texture to the meat and odd plastic flavor to the food. And you never know what youre going to get, Ive gone in when it is a madhouse, the line is 10 people deep and the food comes out great. Other times when there is one person in the dining room and the food is terrible. Being a test kitchen is nice, and the service is usually ok, the high school kids that run the registers are worked pretty hard, so I dont expect to get superb customer service. My major complaint is the inconsistency, if it was always bad, I wouldnt go back; but since it is sometimes perfect, I come back hoping to get lucky.

This location is trying to kill people! I ordered the Mandarin Kung Pao beef, it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo salty! I couldnt eat it. I thougt it was me, my husband spit it out right away after he tasted it. And the beef was sooooooooooo dry. The Crab Wontons was tasteless! Last time, I order the Mandarin Kung Pao Toufu, the toufu was burnt and as dry as wood dust. If I dined there, I would ask for a exchange, I was lazy that day to order take out, and I was lazy to go back. And I will NEVER go back there any more!

Being a test kitchen, this location offers items not found at other Pe Wie locations. This also means that items on the menu are hit and miss as to how good they are. I highly recommend avoiding the Ramen & Pho, Ramen has chow mien noodles which adds a weird taste & texture. The chicken Pho was basically chicken noodle soup and did not taste like other chicken pho we have had. Try to avoid when extremely busy, service can be extremely slow and disorganized.

Extremely poor customer service. I had placed an order online and they informed me when I arrived that they were out of one of the items I had ordered and paid for. I requested a refund and the manager refused telling me I would have to go through my bank. I finally managed to escalate the situation to her boss who finally managed to give me my refund. Horrible experience, strongly recommend not eating here.

The four panel menu board reflects a range of Asian countries including China, Vietnam and Japan. The dishes look like big salad bowls with lots of different fresh veggies and greens topped by poultry, seafoods and meats. I had a very flavorful ahi tuna topped salad for $7.99, about expensive as it got. Service was very friendly and helpful for a room full of young customers enjoying their lunch.

I love this place because the food comes in literally 10 seconds (not joking.) All the food is yummy, but Id highly reccomend the Chicken Pad Thai. The food is similar to Thai Pan (a place about 2 blocks away.) Though Thai Pan is a little bit healthier and expensive. Pei Wei on the other hand is cheap, and isnt super healthy.

Awesome that this is a test kitchen, you can get items that arent in the other stores. The Blistered Green Beans are incredible. Only complaint would be that my entree (Thai Basil Chicken) was over sauced for my taste. Will order sauce on the side next time, easy fix! Definitely recommend!

AMAZING PLACE! I have always enjoyed my usual at Pei Wei, but coming to the test kitchen I decided to step outside of my normal choices and was pleasantly surprised! I got the pineapple fried rice with pork belly! YUMMMMM.

I order pei wei spicy beef kung pao chicken and many other dishes all are excellent at this location. Servers are friendly but the location seems to be busy on a regular basis therefor the servers are rushed and working hard.

Edit: Ordered ramen to go, trusted thats what I received since the person taking my order and I talked at length about it, but when I got home it was pho in the bag. Decent pho, but a considerable bummer.

The food here is so good. You can call your order in or place it online, designated parking space for pick up. Always busy but crazy around lunch. Reasonably priced.

Good sushi but I had Mongolian beef with white rice and it was super salty and the steak was under cooked. Kinda disappointed with this location.

It was okay, the chicken was very dry it was like eating cardboard and the noodles tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.

Seems kind of basic.. Ill need to try another location to know if quality has gone down over the years or if its just this location.
