horrified experience at thai spice Well a friend of mine took me to thai spice because we decided to eat thai food. The food was good i wasnt impress with the customer service it was okay. One family came to eat seems like everything was going well they called the manager & i heard they were saying why your forcing to charge the tip its up to them how much they pay the tip. Manager or the owner wasnt cooperating well i heard he was saying you have to pay the tip no matter if our customer service is good or bad. Customer stood up and said look at me thats what i heard suddenly the owner grasp the customers neck & choked him & starts yelling at him Im gonna kill you. I was horrified & shocked what is he doing. I didnt believe my eyes but we decided to leave the restaurant Customers family starts screaming & i believe his 2 young kids maybe age 4 or 5 yrs old standing there watching there family member is getting choked. I feel really bad for the customer we left the scene. I guess customers wife called police & dont know what happened. I will never go there again i believe the manager or the owner has some kind of anger problem.

I usually dont give reviews. But for one incident happened inside the Thai spice made me worry. I hope it wont happen again. A family came to eat with 2 elderly ladies and 2 young kids I heard one kid told his grandma happy birthday to you which made me smile. Im assuming they brought grandma for birthday dinner. Anyway after the dinner the owner came and starts talking with the female customer I didnt heard any arguments or loud voices one male customer was standing by the owner. suddenly the owner nijam I believe his name is grabbed male customers neck starts choking him and starts yelling at him saying "Im gonna kill you" poor customer couldnt even talk. His family starts screaming & trying to stop the owner. When the customer spoke he said "is that how you treat your customers"?! We got really scared we left our food & left the scene. Dont know what happened next. Owner dont have the right to choke some one like that NOT in AmericaI hope he pays for his consequence & wont do this again.

Weve been going here for years and never had a problem until today. We ordered the "Pad See You" for carry out. When we got home the food looked and tasted burned. There was an awful aftertaste and even the baby corn was blackened. Ive had this dish at Thai restaurants all around Salt Lake and have never had it look or taste anything like what was given to us. When I called in to complain about it I was snapped at by the chef that she knew for a fact that it wasnt burned. She then proceeded to blame it on the new soy sauce theyre using. She either lost sight, smell, and taste or she refuses to admit her mistakes. Either way were never going to visit Thai Spice again. And if it is the soy sauce theyre using I recommend nobody ever eat there.

This is, hands down, our favorite Thai Place. Weve been to more than 20 restaurants, searching for the best Thai in New York CIty (when we lived there) and here in Utah. Thai Spice is hands down, our favorite. Service is friendly and quick. The food is affordable, fresh and delicious. The flavor is the best weve had. Its the dark horse of Thai - an unassuming, mom and pop restaurant tucked into a lackluster strip mall. But the food speaks for itself, outdoing Thai restaurants in Provo, Orem, California and Manhattan. If you go- definitely try the Panang Curry, Pad Grau Pau, or Drunken Noodles - all to die for.

Im from NY so we are very picky about are food. But I loved it... The people there are so nice they really care about there customers. And the food was amazing we had what the waiter suggested and it was really good. The coconut water was so refreshing and the sweet noodles was amazing and we had the sweet and sour chicken the vegetables where so freash. Omg I love this place better then NY thai. The waiter really keep the store clean and is so nice. He remembered everyone of his clients name before the came through the door. Amazing please...

This place is my favorite restaurant in utah! The service is great, the Atmosphere is relaxing and quiet, the food is DELICIOUS, the price is really good... the only bad thing I have to say is that there arent more of there locations. But until they expand I will continue to make the 45 minute drive to eat there and of course get a take out order for the following day. Its my 2 days of heaven :) they have the best calamari and I highly recommend c4!

I love this place and am a regular!!! I always get Thai Beef Salad and their Tom Yum. My only complaint is that I had Thai Beef salad just this last Wed night, ordered it again Thurs night and the quality/taste was wildly different. The 2nd nights being watered down and beef not cooked well like Weds. My bf picked it up and did notice different people working there that night...I suspect different cook as well...

Best Thai food I ever had! With an excellent waiter, Jeremy, who is professional yet he always treats my fiancé and I as close friends. I have been going to this place for years and it never ceases to amaze me how it will fill me up to the perfect amount with the most scrumptious food. Thank you for the wonderful cooks and Jeremy that makes Thai Spice a true delicious delight.

I really used to love this restaurant but lately I havent been impressed. Another issue is that since it is family run, they will completely close without notice for a vacation or something and youre left finding somewhere else to eat. Also service can be very slow when they get busy. The food is delicious but has gone down in quality in the last year or two.

Excellent find! With no shortage of Thai restaurants in the valley, Im glad to find this one. High quality, flavorful and great service from this family owned restaurant. And if you want a sweet treat after your spicey meal, try the Roti (yes, Pakistani Roti!) served with condensed milk....amazing!

Thai Spice hits all levels of fine cuisine: TASTE QUALITY INGRIDIENTS REASONABLE Hopefully they acquire the capital to go big, but some times smaller places add the charm. If you have not had it, go there and order Gai Ga, Mussaman Spicy Curry & Thai Spice Noodles Happy Eating!
