We headed to Taj India today as we carved for Indian food for the weekend. This place is calm (for the time being) and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There was the buffet open, but we ordered from the menu and there are a lot of dishes to choose from. We ordered an appetizer called Taj choice of appetizer platter (its the name or may be its similar as far as I can remember ).It was quite plate and the servings were yummy and the fried pakoras, poppadams didnt seemed oily. Which is awesome! And next we ordered a portion of chicken naan and it was too delicate and its filled sparingly with shredded chicken. Bread was filling!! Finally its nothing if you dont order a biryani when you hit an Indian restaurant. The portion was large and sizzling hot! Chicken was nicely cooked, tender and full of flavor. Dressed in cilantro leaves and it was very welcoming!! And I recommend everyone to try /finish their meals by a cup of chai tea. Its creamy very aromatic and calms the spicy gut!! Hospitality was average and it seemed ok... The place is clean, nicely arranged and has the Indian vibe (bright colors, nice chandeliers,Indian paintings depicting Indian way of life and Indian/hindi music in the background) in the elm street!

I was recently on a business trip in Manchester and stopped at the first Indian restaurant I could find. Had a great meal and enjoyed the service but walked out with out my ipad. I did not realize that I had misplaced the machine for a few days and I was not sure where I had left it. I called the restaurant and the manager said he would check and call back. The next day a received a call that the had found the ipad but by then I had already returned to CA. The manager was very helpful and agreed to box the unit up and I had FedEx the next day. Will forward to my next visit to NH so I can stop in for another great meal!

This place has gone down in quality a lot since it started. The last time I went we had ordered from the menu for lunch and everything was exceptional. When I went yesterday, my wife got the buffet and I ordered from the menu. I ordered Chicken kadhai which was had to differentiate from chicken tikka gravy. According to my wife, everything on the buffet was just not up to the mark. It was just salt, spices, oil/cream thrown together, it did not come along well. The only exception was lamb curry. The lamb was tender and the gravy was delicious. Also have to point out that their service was good.

Weve been here numerous times and are planning on having dinner here on Valentines Day with another couple, as well. The staff is always pleasant and the food is always phenomenal. We used to be regulars at India Palance (both in Nashua and Manchester), but Taj beats both of those locations. The food always come out hot with the perfect amount of spice (I like mine HOT!). The flavors are amazing in all their dishes - from chicken to shrimp to lamb - to even the naan. Everything is just excellent. My favorite at the moment is the Chicken Mango. To DIE for!

Very good food. Not overly creamy, so my wife and I felt comfortable after eating a 2-plate lunch. Buffet was hot and fresh, but we would have liked two different meat options. The Masala tea with dessert was a really nice touch. Excellent chana and veg curry for those who do not prefer meat. Decor is newer, fresher and cleaner feeling than other Indian restaurants in the area. Full bar may be important for some. I would definitively come back. Nicely done!

Simply delicious. I keep meaning to try something new, but I keep falling back on the same thing because its so good. I get a coconut soup, lamb vindaloo, and aloo nana. My girlfriend likewise always ends up with the aloo palak, dal shorba, and aloo paratha. We LOVE this place. So much so that we havent gotten around to exploring many other restaurants. On the occasion we decide to eat out, its hard to justify not going to Taj. A+, 10/10, would recommend.

Ate there today with my wife, daughter and grand daughter. The garlic Naan is one of the best I have ever eaten, Channa Masala and Aloo Gobi were very good. Mango lassi was also good. We had a problem with the rice smelling "off" and they were great about dealing with it and substituting more naan. They thought they got a bad batch of rice. The manager came out and apologized and I felt they really cared. Would go back for sure!

Very bad experience with dinner today. Ordered one chicken and veg biriyani. They served me less portion of chicken biriyani with one or two pieces of chicken as they were running short of it in kitchen. Instead raita they served us curd and plate of onion. Veg biriyani was served fully but was horrible in taste and very spicy to eat. Tomato soup was like hot chilly water served along with garlic. Will never visit again

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Manchester. The menu has many options and Ive never been disappointed. My personal favorite items are the Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala & Mutter Paneer. The samosas and naan and are also good. They will adjust the spice level to your liking (if you ask them to make it really spicy prepare to sweat). I would certainly suggest checking it out if you enjoy Indian food.

Lunch buffet wasnt great. Arrived around 1:30. Food was cold. Shrimp dish had two pieces of shrimp in the entire full tray of sauce. None of the items were replenished while there. Staff stood around talking to each other instead of servicing the buffet. Meat was dry. One bonus was the spiced rice pudding, which was delicious.

why should someone pay 15% tip for worst people.. Money greedy people .. never visit this place.... visited 100s of restaurants in US but never paid such and high tax or service charge...paid almost 25% and rude guys dont even know how to talk to customers.... Id prefer to sleep hungry rather than visiting this restaurant...

The ambience is awesome. The waiters are so good at service. food is really yummy and thats what people call it Authentic Indian restaurant in the whole NH. A really lovely place in the heart of Manchester to go with friends and family. I would definitely recommend all to check-in and have the best Indian food.

Good food, but like many New Hampshire eateries they are afraid to make a dish truly spicy. I had the chicken vindaloo, samosas, and garlic naan. Good stuff, but on the pricey side for the small portions. Im sure their buffet is worth it though. Friendly staff. Recommended for authentic Indian eats.

I can not go to any other restaurant and get steak now. This place has ruined that. The filet has the most amazing flavor! Everything is outstanding. The service and the food do not compare to anywhere else in the state! If you want the best steak in NH this is the place

My Missus and I have eaten lunch there several times. Its always good. Its a buffet so the service is more for water, drinks and clearing your dishes. I think the food is excellent. We will be going back again. The only negative is that I always eat way too much!

Excellent food. The w/end buffet is an excellent faire? They have take out service as well as sit down meals. Their other restaurant in Nashua is another place you can go to enjoy excellent Indian food. Kids and adults all enjoy their meals.
