Never again will I bring my family to this horrible, disgusting place. The food is so gross! Seems like youre eating leftovers. The bathrooms are so dirty and there is some suspicious white powder all along the bottom sides of the walls and tables. Wondering if it could be rat or roach medicine. Wish I had gotten the name of the lady ringing us up. She claims she is the manager, but for a manager she had a disgusting mouth. I was simply stating a fact about my 11yr old son being charged as an adult . She raised her voice at me! The customer! Stating my 11yr old is an adult. Then turned around and said I was scaring her child that works there. I asked her how old she was, and she said 13! Her child is 13, but my 11 yr old child is considered an adult! Makes no sense to me. I calmly told her to please ring me up so I could get out of there and instead of hearing me out she continued to yell at me . Horrible, horrible customer service. Never again will I step foot in this disgusting restaurant! Hope it gets shut down soon. Doesnt even deserve the 1 star. I give it a 0. Hard to believe the good reviews on this place. Must be the owner trying to make it sound good because I cant believe ANYBODY would like their barf food.

The restaurant is now called Joy Buffet. Really a fairly good Chinese buffet. I would say if there is not a number of dishes here that you like, you might as well hang it up for buffets. With an all day price of $10 you can include crab legs (hint: take your own crab crackers and little fork) all manner of prepared shrimp and even steaks to order; thats in addition to the very good Chinese food usuals.. Find those items that have just had the tray replaced for the freshest prepared food to help insure your satisfaction. Service was quick to refill drinks and clear away used plates. The place to appeared to be fairly clean and there were quite a few people noshing in the late afternoon. Those who might be hesitating a visit, just do it! I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

NEVER GO THERE AGAIN...VERY BAD AND RUDE EMPLOYEES! THIS PLACE SHOULD AND MUST BE CLOSED. Today I went there around 7.30 pm. I asked the man at the grill to give me a well done steak....and asked him to give me one of these tags where they have numbers..He refused and asked me to go away ...I was surprised because the restaurant was still open and full of customers...I asked again the waitress to check if I can get a steak and she was not very diligent neither willing to do her job. At the end , I left and reported that to the front desk employee... All of them seemed rude and unable to understand that a restaurant is running because the customers..not because what they like to do... Awful , rude and impolite. They should leave!

TV ads lured us to Joys Buffet. It is 16 miles from our house where we are surrounded by many Asian restaurants nearby. We were not disappointed. Its a beautifully decorated restaurant with intimate or group seating possibilities The food on all the self-serving buffet lines were appealing & appetizing. Wanted to show how beautiful the buffet looked but the manager asked me to delete all photos of the buffets I had taken. Those foods we selected were at the right temperatures, tender, flavorful, & tasty. Great variety of choices except in salads & puddings. Area leading to restrooms was attractive. The restrooms were clean but not spic & span.

Very dirty place. Chairs, tables, plates. Everything was over cooked. You could see grime everywhere. Did not like at all. Dont waste your money. Shrimp was overcooked couldnt even peel off the shell. Their chicken entrées were swimming in sauce. The cheese puffs nasty. No real cream cheese. Worst experience ever at a Chinese food place. Sticking to Lins buffet and Grand buffet on the south side. For cleanliness and great food. I think Joys should be shut down. I should of looked outside for their grade on inspection before I went in. Once I went outside after paying obviously they didnt have it posted because surely they stunk!!!

Just finished at Joy Buffet. The worst food. Most of the dishes were lacking flavor and a lot were cold. My husband said he didnt finish his various sushi rolls as the initial bite was indeterminable weather it was safe to eat. No response from Management other than so sorry but you still pay full price. No questions as to what they could do better or what was wrong with meal. Not returning and think health department should be notified.

Not very clean in the food area;the splash guards above entree has other food grime above it and utensils mixed up near sushi. Plus the man making the steak and magnolia dishes chooses to add his own "seasoning" and oils ...I told him he cant do that since my family has food allergies and I add what I can ,he just stares at me. I watched him on two occasions add his own. So RUDE!

Just walked out sitting in the parking lot and had to review. The food is typical Chinese food. It was early but it still tasted stale. My son almost ate a mussel with a piece of glass in it. When I told the manager she claimed it was part of the mussel and dismissed it. But kept saying sorry. Never eating there again. Its cheap for a good reason. Run!

Their teppanyaki grill has the largest selection of ingredients of any buffet Ive been to. All the food was hot and fresh - replenished quickly and regularly. The selection of sushi was also excellent. Definitely my favorite Asian buffet in San Antonio.
