Another unhappy customer. We had a party at Moonstar last weekend for our son. We made reservation a month and half ahead of our party and confirmed how many people would join our party two weeks before our party. When we made reservation, a manager told us how well they have done for parties and has good experience on organizing big party. They would assign an area to us and guaranteed we would have enough seats for our guests. That was a nice presentation. But we were very disappointed last weekend. First of all, they changed the area we picked at the time we made reservation. Secondly, we reserved 100 seats for our party. They only assigned us about 80 seats. When our guests came in, they just stood there and waiting for seats. Some of our guests even ran around with their staff and looking for empty seats. It was very embarrassing. What a day! If you plan to have party there or already made reservation, it is not too late. You should call them a few times to remind them your head count before your party. Their guarantee is NOT a guarantee. Hopefully you wont have the same experience as what we had.

At this crowded restaurant, you can choose from a variety of different foods. Though mostly Asian based, there is also a range of seafood, ramen/noodles, soups, and sweet treats. Even with room for 450 customers, Moonstar can get pretty crowded at peak hours. Parties are held here often towards the back of the building. Party tables are marked with balloons corresponding to the paper bracelets required for large parties. The food served here is pretty good. Though the food is not the best quality you can get in the Bay Area, it is pretty decent for a buffet. The prices are fairly decent and is pretty good for the food quality. I would suggest trying their soups and broths as they have the perfect flavor and aren’t too savory. I went to Kome with my family today. I waited for the duck for about 10 minutes, the kitchens woman didnt cut the duck for me, and talked with her cowork. When I left, she cut them immediately for another person. I think this is not a friendly behavior. So, I complained to the manager, and talked about this problem. Waited for a while, the manager came back and took a small plate with 8 pieces of duck and told us it was free. When I heard I thought she was kidding, I paid for buffet and they said it was a gift. They didnt even apologize or anything for their unprofessionalism and bad customer service.

NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! It will be a total waste of money $$. I went because some friends birthday party was there. They had so much food and it looked good, but when I sat down and tried it, it tasted horrible!!!! It tasted so old like they just microwaved it to heat it up, that includes the crab legs and all seafood.The waitress was so rude. The only part that I like a bit was the dessert bar. I will never go to this place ever again!!!!

Ive been turned away 3 times, because I coincidentally arrive at the wrong times. That is, they wont let you in and ask you to wait if you arrive when they are in transition from Lunch to Dinner. Lastly, I usually find myself filling my cup about 5x because theyre more like shot glasses. I dont think Ill be eating less, because my cup is small. Its really a nuisance!

Can you tell me why this restaurant doesnt open during this time? It is not suit with the schedule. If you dont want to do this business, dont let other people down. It waste my time. it shows that it will open 5am to 9 pm. However, the worker told me they will open during 5pm -9pm. Then the information is wrong, who afford this responsibility?

On my last visit, their air conditioner was broken....so we having meals and at the same time excersise : moving our hands...hottt..hottt. My favorite is crab rice congee. If you like soups, they have interesting choice of soups. They dont allow you to take picture of the buffet and allow you to take picture of your family/friends on the table.

NEGITIVE stars... Upon driving home I got violently sick and had food poisoning for 3 days. Their fish at their sushi bar was warm. There was no ice or temperature regulation. Sure it was interesting to people watch but my sick tummy was not worth the price we paid. We both got sick and we ate different things. This is not a good sign.

This was my first time going to this place. i suggest people watch how much they get charged because I was charged a totally different amount than what was on my receipt. Youll have to check your bank accounts a couple of days later because they will add a tip for themselves!! They are thieves!! Never go to this establishment to eat.

They charged a 13 year old as an adult so they could make more money, and it almost cost $200 for 5 people to eat there. It was a pretty gross place that was very, very loud and noisy. The food wasnt that great at all and made my younger brother sick. I DO NOT recommend going to this place, please try somewhere else.

the sushi here sits out for 2 hrs plus each. and the bathrooms require an inhaler for those without asthma.the raw oysters here are very salty and gamey in taste but the mussels are dry and aged. if this restaurant is deserving of a buisness license, then the 49ers should be at super bowl 50.

Very crowded. We arrive at 3.30 and they charge us $32 per person, even though it is not yet evening time. That is really overpriced for a buffet place. They also emphasize we can only stay for 2 hours, before we even get seated. Staff seems to be confused about their own rules.

Im not generally a buffet goer, but for a buffet, the food isnt too salty and has a great variety of seafood. Props for having snow crab legs, oysters in raw and black bean steamed versions. Large array of desserts and fondue, ice cream, and crepe station for dinner time.

They had a wide variety of food selections but the service was very poor. The waitress rarely come over to pick up our plates. When she did come over, she look very unhappy. At one point, our table was so full that we had to put the dirty plates away ourselves. :(

Good buffet food, good prices, and a super friendly staff! Ive been eating here for years and its always been great - a good, rotating variety of Chinese and Japanese food (with a few American items thrown in). Theres something for everyone here.

We sat in the back near the Windows, no traffic walking around us. The place was packed but we sat in a great area without being bothered by people constantly walking around! Food was delicious and Many choices! Drinks included is even better!

We all got sick after eating there. Not sure if theyre using MSG but 4 of us went to lunch and all felt horrible an hour later. The flavor is mediocre and sushi was old and fishy. Was surprised at quality since it was so busy. Will not return

When I went for my Birthday and My Son B-day. We got there half a hour before changing prices. But the Woman didnt let us go in, until was time to Chargers more. We had it Wait Half a hour, just because they Wanted to Charge More money.
