Ive eaten at this location many a time. Customer service here has consistently been good and food quality has been decent. The buffet depending on the day you visit offers steak, fish, chicken, grilled meats, shrimp and many other entrees. The side dishes that are available are extensive, and also include deserts (sugar free available). This location can become overly busy on weekends, especially Sunday afternoons, and on Friday nights. Barely any parking available and a line to be seated are very common here. Food offered at this location is average in comparison to some of the other San Antonio locations, with some of the items seemingly being a little better tasting. Over a dozen visits to this location, Ive never encountered any problems, or seen anything that would cause any health concerns. Waiters and waitresses have been friendly. Prices for the buffet are average to fair for the quality of food offered. Customer Service (Wait Staff) 8/10 Food Quality 7/10 Price 8/10

The food is good, that is of course if you can get the food. Chocolate fountain was out of stuff to dip into the fountain. The girl that was supposed to take care of that station was too busy flirting with the guy who was the cashier. The time before when we came the guy who was cooking the omelets was rude and ignored me so I never got to get an omelet. Also, I watched the same girl who was supposed to run the chocolate fountain station help get trash from the bathroom, cough into her hand, and then touch various items on the buffet. She picked at items on the buffet a couple of times and then made herself a bowl here and a bowl there of stuff to eat. The whole time I was there with my family she flirted, ate, or stood around. Never saw her work but she surly helped spread germs everywhere! Im sorry, but if youre an employee and you go into the restroom, hands need to be washed before you touch other things. Period!

As we had been in a few Golden Corral Restaurant lately we thought wed give this one a try. It wasnt until we got inside that I realized that I had been here 20 years ago. The restaurant hasnt changed much. Except that everything in there is 20 years older. A bit more worn. A bit dingier. And, unfortunately, the food lines havent changed either. The menu is still the same. Inexpensive food, served up on top of hot-water warming bins, and servers/wait-staff that pile up dirty used plates on a centrally located dining table, to be haphazardly stacked and carried in their arms to wherever they put such things. The quality of the food on their lines was not what I had experienced recently in other restaurants in this chain. Sorry. The best I can say: Our meals were a couple of dollars cheaper here than at some of their other locations.

Came here for breakfast for the first time today. Wasnt sure what to expect, as I have never been to a breakfast buffet before but I was pleasantly surprised. My waitress Gail was an absolute gem! She was very attentive despite having a huge section of tables to attend to. The food was delicious and everything was hot! I ordered an omelet at the omelet station, and you have to wait a few minutes while it cooks but Charlie ( the guy running the station) was very personable and quite entertaining so it made the wait seem much shorter. In fact, all of the employees running the buffet line were very pleasant and always smiling! I will definitely be back :-)

Breakfast buffet at nearly 8am on sunday, place nearly empty. Pork chop was raw. Link breakfast sausage was raw Patty breakfast sausage was so hard dry and overcooked it may have well have been a hockey puck. Scrambled eggs were runny. Cheesy grits were not cooked completely and still crunchy, nor was it hot as the cheese wasnt even melted. Hashbrown casserole was more cheese than hashbrown Corned beef hash was incredibly inedibly salty Pulled pork was so dry my husband literally choked on it. Only redeeming factor was the bacon was cooked perfect and hot, and the coffee was great. Not a reason to go back.

The food was cold, the prime rib (what meat there was) was tough and mostly all fat. The other meats, (pot roast, steak) was also too tough to chew. The seafood items tasted fishy. Shrimp skewers and orange shrimp were advertised in the weekend menu, but the chef advised there was no shrimp delivery that day (Saturday). The soups were cold and the clam chowder was fishy tasting. I hadnt been to Golden Corral in nearly two years...and the meal reminded me of why I wont return, not even after another two years. I would not recommend this restaurant at any cost.

For what you pay for a family, the food isnt impressive. If you come here, expect a buffet that has seen better days. People come for the smokehouse and leave for meal. The establishment appears rundown and dirty on the inside. From the decor and lack of cleanliness of the place, this Golden Corral feels gross. As for service, it can best be described as "awkward"; the host was a young adult that didnt seem to care about his job, and our waitress seemed to do the bare minimum to get a tip. The potato salad tastes nice though.

Food cold server very rude i got my salad completed eating salad went to get more food came back and my table was cleared off and someone else was setting there. I ask server and she said i was gone i responded i only had a salad and she said i thought that was all i thought you were going to eat. How stupid. Why would i pay 16 dollars for a salad. I had to wait for somene to clean another table. Then i was called a prick when i left without leaving a tip. Was never offered a refill on tea only service received was lip service

The food was alright for me an my girlfriend. But when we sat down to eat in the booth, there was a couple live roaches in our immediate area. I was so disgusted and appalled, and could not eat after the first plate. And lastly I came across one of their unprofessional staff ladys that works there, with her rude and uncalled for comments. Made me and my girlfriend very uncomfortable. Please stay away from this location. Not worth it and a waste of time.

Over the past years, we have eaten here many times with family & friends. Noticed improvements in every category of Food Preparation, selection, & service. The Staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Food was great! Golden Corral for their noon weekday Early Bird lunch Special charged us $8.59 + Tax each. Anyone who is hungry with a big appetite & capacity should come here to eat. You want regret your decision. .

Went on a Monday, enjoyed everything. Salad was good. Nice selections every thing you want on a salad bar. Buffet area was kept clean. Families there understandably food falls on floor quickly picked up by staff. Steaks, fried chicken, shrimp all good seasoning and flavor. Sides above average very tasty. Deserts again nice presentation. Chocolate fountain a favorite for all. Will recommend and return again.

I have been to a lot of buffets including other golden corrals accross the country in my lifetime so far. This was by far the best ive ever had. The server made sure i was taken care of but somehow knew i wasnt the chatty type and didnt strike any long conversations. The food was made with lots of love nothing soggy or over cooked and looked quite appealing. I will definately be back.
