Me recomendaron este lugar como un buen lugar para comer comida chapina y convivir en familia pero es todo lo contrario la comida muy mala sin sabor y muy grasosa de todo lo que comimos no había nada que se pudiera decir que estaba bueno gastamos casi $80.00 dólares y todo muy malo no se los recomiendo el servicio muy malo los meseros muy pesados si buscan un buen lugar para comer comida guatemalteca ese no es el lugar adecuado si viven en los Ángeles hay uno mejor en la 8th y unión aunque no me gusta el area la comida es muy buena. No gasten su dinero y tiempo en este lugar.

This place takes me to my happy place. Its that true Guate dealing. I recommend you coming here. Its a small place in a busy intersection. Made a journey to find this place after discovering it on yelp.. Its a small restaurant with a bar. Great décor. Needs more chapin touches just because I miss Guatemala so much. So we get there and already smelling something yummy in the air we started with the Puchica beer on tap. OH so good. And ordered the Puchica antojitos. And the yucca with chicharon. The food took me to a place I miss so much. Nice staff. Good service. I was drinking a bit so next I wanted the michelada with famosa beer. Another aha num num moment. And ended the night with desert. TEQUILA shots. Smooooth. I recommend a night like this in a place for a ALL chapin lovers..

Sin ofender a otros restaurantes pero este es el mejor restaurante de comida chapina tiene muy buena apariencia, esta limpio, y la comida muy rica. Al fin un restaurante que puedo recomendar a otra gente para que pueda probar las delicias de mi linda Guatemala.

I appreciate all the thought they out into building this nice restaurant. The food was average compared to other Guatemalan places around LA. Unless youve had these dishes in Guatemala or authentic homemade Chapin food, youd think the food is great. Im yet to find delicious Guatemalan food in LA. Meats were too dry and not as flavorful. Rice is as bad as in Guatemala (thats the only thing they dont cook well back at home) Drinks werent freshly squeezed. Portions mid size

The Carne Asada was so freaking delicious, flavorful, juicy and tender. Served with grilled green onions, chirmol (Guatemalan style pico de gallo), rice, choice of beans (revueltos, parados or colados), fried plantains, Guatemalan style tortillas (my favorites) and a small side of sour cream. Also, the horchata was super refreshing and made from scratch, not to sweet and too plane. I really recommend this place if what youre looking for is other that Mexican food.

It is the worst experience !!! Lousy food, have not the faintest idea what a corn gruel and pepian or say. INEDIBLE!. Now the guy who greeted us was very friendly to him I give it 5 stars. Chapina want to eat food when they go to the Union and in August the restaurant is called "Guatemala" is the only place where it resembles a little closer to what the typical Guatemalan flavor.

I usually come here on the weekends and the vibe there is great! I especially love the marimba players that perform on Sundays. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a Guatemalan restaurant here in Sherman oaks; Guatemalan restaurants are hard to come by. I recommend the desayuno puchica, it will give you a real taste of the typical Guatemalan breakfast.

Fantastic place, and very good food. The best service we have had in a long time. The food is amazing. They accommodated gluten free meal for us with no troubles. Just a great place.we went back 2 days later for breakfast, they surprised us with a birthday song and cake for my wife. Just awsome. Love this place.

My friends from Guatemala recommended I go there, on our last trip we went there, and it was great! Nice atmosphere, food was very good, and they had live music when we went. If you want to try something different, go there!
