Ordered food from ToI broad st, Windsor. Their Veg Biriyani got spoiled in less than 24 hrs that too when it was Jan in America when the weather is cold. The food was in room temperature for just 6 hrs till the party went on and later was put in fridge. But next day it was spoiled and gave a bad smell. Had to throw it. Secondly, I wanted to order naan from another restaurant but the lady manager here convinced me they make best naans. I thought why not to pick all food from one place and placed my order. The naans became hard within an hour of starting the party. I was feeling bad for kids who loved naan but had difficulty eating it. I hated that lady manager so much at that time for cheating me. They make false promises just for business and play with customers dignity at their parties. Believe me they serve old food. Earlier I just thought may b accidental cases of 1 or 2 people. But now I believe they really serve old food. Other curries from other restaurants didnt spoil but ToI food spoiled. Please learn from my mistakes.

On a Sunday Ive ordered butter naans, chichen curry, chicken Biriyani and chicken Fries for dinner. They also gave papads, but you see there is no difference between naans and papads. Both are crispy. The chicken Biriyani might be really bad old stuff. Really bad. Not to mention the awfullness of chicken curry, overall in all of these items, the chicken had foul smell and was so hard to chew. The chicken fry was the only thing better out of all, but that chicken was harder too. For half of the price I paid (around $50) Ive got better Indian food from BBQ Masala aka LAziz restaurant in Windsor locks. But beware of them too on Mondays because they gave me old chicken Biriyani stuff, Bottomline I believe you should not get any kind of indian foods during the week beginning and that really sucks. Ive never given any reviews so far for anything, Ill always try to find something good on anything I got and try not to think or give bad reviews to anything . But Im sorry on this case. II couldnt find any good here.

My boyfriend and I LOVE this restaurant! It is our favorite and worth the slightly longer drive it takes for us to get out there. The food is so fresh and flavorful and the chicken is so incredibly tender. Even the rice is amazing! Weve tried a bunch of different Indian restaurants around us, but we are just never quite as satisfied as we are with Taste of India. I usually get the Chicken Tikka Masala and he gets the Chicken Curry and they are both amazing. Even if you order them pretty spicy, none of the flavor is lost! Also, the service is always wonderful. The man who waited on us was a little quiet and hard to understand at times, but he was actually quite funny and nice. The older woman (Im assuming, the owner) has always been SO warm and welcoming. Weve been there twice but she always treats us as she would people who have been there much more often. We always end up leaving amazed by the restaurant and raving about how good it is!

Tried Taste of India for lunch today for the first time. (7/19/2017) We arrived around 1:15 or so for a late lunch and were the only ones there for a few minutes. Shortly after we arrived a number of other parties came in. The food was hot and tasted very good. I had Lamb Curry, rice, and a few of the other items in the buffet. I was very happy they had a number of meat choices along with a number of vegetarian dishes. Naan was not out at the buffet so I was a little disappointed at first but then they brought it out to the table nice and hot in a basket. I had a craving for garlic naan and asked the waiter for an order. I said it could be a seperate order as I didnt think it was included in the buffet. When he brought the garlic naan to the table he said "no seperate order." Talk about service! Both my wife and I left full and content! We will definitely be back!

I really hated the hate comments made by one time customers. its ridiculous to say "stay away" and stuffs like that just because the restaurant was busy! people should instead understand that if it wasnt busy, they would obviously get proper attention. try to be reasonable people not "attention seekers". I really enjoy this place for their delicacies, appealing foods, hospitable staff. Will not complain even if they serve food the next day! ;) Its really worth it, specially the tandoori specials!

I visited this restaurant in March for a lunch buffet thought it was a good place for India restaurant. But to be frank, this is a very bad restaurant that I had Indian food. No taste and no proper menu. They dont have any proper Indian menu.i see the veg pulao very dry and burnt.desert is also burnt. Name represents taste of india but the menu made reverse the name. I personally dont visit this restaurant. Please make the food with good values and respect.

Food was excellent and very prompt in serving time. Prices were reasonable as well and we received a satisfying amount of food for the price. The dining area, bar and bathrooms were all extremely clean. We spoke with the owner at length and she was very personable and friendly, as well as the waitstaff being very polite and attentive. I will definitely be returning and recommending Taste of India to my family and friends.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. It is the most foul place I have ever been to. 1. My chicken noodle soup was "Cambells Chicken Noodle soup" with cury dumped in it. (not even kidding) 2. The food was disgusting, and when I proceeded to not eat anything the entire staff hung over me asking me why I wasnt eating it.

Told us they could accommodate our group. Ended up practically ignoring us for 2 hours except for drinks we had to keep asking for. Rum & cokes = 1 shot of white rum in 1 pint of soda&ice. Food was decent, not worth the wait. We will never return. We advise you to also stay away.

Ive not been here for dinner in a very long time, but I have frequented the lunch buffet under the new owners. Overall, the food quality is good, and the selection is varied if not widely changing. Cant complain about the service or price either, very reasonable buffet.

Food was excellent. Service was wonderful. Greeted and seated as we walked through the door. Chicken tikki masala was best Ive had. My husband had a lamb dish and raved about it! Had a Groupon and tried it. So glad we did! Our new go to for Indian food.

Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Food tastes OK and nothing special about it. Loved the lamb curry though. This place can get crowded during lunch time and you may need to wait to get seated. Parking is roadside and limited.
