I went with my boyfriend last night and I cant say it was AMAZING....but I cant say it was terrible. Their sushi was >.< gross, but the rest of their food was "decent" for a buffet. They had everything from carnitas, floutas to kimchi. They also had an impressive chocolate fondue fountain with deserts. The 2 things I could say that I didnt like was the smell of whatever they used to clean the counter buffet tops and how overcooked their food was. Smelled disgusting, almost to the point my appetite was lost. The food was hot but it almost seemed as if they were trying too hard to keep it warm if that makes any sense. I remember seeing a fresh serving of broccoli and cheese at the buffet line being put in. By the second time I went to the buffet line the broccoli and cheese was already burnt to hell. They had employees go around and stir around the food a bit to keep it from going stale but their efforts seemed to be pointless >.< Over all if youre all about quantity over quality this place may be for you. Again it wasnt terrible tasting (I made a total of 4 trips to the buffet line...Im not all that picky :P ) I dont think Ill ever go back it was about 12 bucks when I feel like it was really worth 7 or 8.

I would rank this buffet as an average Chinese buffet. Food is decent, flavors are middle of the road. Selection is no better or worse than your average Chinese buffet, but does not stand out when it comes to item selection or food quality. I used to eat here off and on and even visited with customers who had businesses in the area. A section of the buffet is dedicated to non Asian foods, which includes several Mexican items, which is a bit odd, but not totally uncommon. Wait service here is usually pretty decent, prices for lunch and dinner are about average, but compared to the handful of Chinese buffets in San Antonio area this one falls towards the lower end of my list. I feel the food quality and selection of the asian entreees could be improved, but for where the buffet is currently priced its understandable that the selections are limited. This place has outlived many of its competitors in the area, and is pretty busy on weekends. I would place this buffet more into the "Americanized Chinese" category as it consists of the most common items, and a few non Chinese items.

HORRIBLE FOOD!! Went around 6 pm, paid $32 for two adult and two children under three. We sat and got our drinks, went to the buffet and made plates for the kids and one for my mother. Came back to feed the kids and my mom said the food tasted disgusting. I took a bite off my sons plate and had to spit it out. My mom went to speak w the mgr about a refund and the mgr came to our table to see what we had ate, which was nothing, and STILL refused to give me a full refund. She gave me back $13 and some change, saying that it was half of our ticket before taxes. I am outraged w this establishment and will NEVER step foot in there ever again. The chicken on a stick was like jerky, there was more Mexican food than Chinese, and there was no kind of barrier to shield/cover the food from debris/losing moisture. There were flies and the place looks run down and dingy. Dont say you havent been warned...

Hey there everyone. Well we moved to San Antonio last year and didn’t know where to go. We had read a review for a different restaurant on 410 and ended up at this one instead. Well we were actually glad we found this place. We have been to others in San Antonio since we have been here and think this one is the best so far. There a lot of people that are very critical about restaurants that are not fancy or expensive. For the price this restaurant is really good they have good steaks too. They have a bigger selection as opposed to the restaurants that get better reviews. We took our family from outta town there and they liked it. Ill say this I went to "Benih" paid $85 for two adults one child and left feeling cheated. At Fortune Cookie paid $33 two adults one child and we left super stuffed and happy.

This place is great! Ive lived in SA for about 2 years now. Part of what I love to do is eat at all different types of restaurants... Especially Chinese buffet. Ive been to a few others around here including the "All flash no bueno"-Chopsticks and the "Well hidden for a reason"- Sun Chinese buffet. Fortune Cookie is by far, the cleanest, friendliest, and the best tasting restaurant ive been to in a while! Their food was always fresh, glasses were always filled, and the price is good. Yeah, you have to prepay, but this is San Antonio. Theres a reason they do that just like theres a reason you need good brakes and horns around here. :S. Ive recommended this place to many friends, and theyve all came back with a thanks. There was plenty of room between tables too! You wont be disappointed.

By far the worst Chinese buffet I have ever had the displeasure of eating. First, they make you pre-pay so you already invested in it. The table was sticky. There was more Mexican on the buffet line than Chinese. Everything seemed way overcooked and flavors were way off. The sesame chicken was a terrible barbecue sprinkled with sesame seeds. Even the water tasted funny. The kids liked the chocolate fountain for dessert, but adults werent impressed. Finally, there were children running everywhere unattended despite the signage every 5 feet requesting no unattended children on the buffet lines.

Strange place. The basic Chinese food selections that most buffets have. No better. No worse. Pretty much what you expect at a buffet. The interesting part is the Mexican selections. The mini tacos are made fresh for you and are good and fresh. The other Mexican buffet items are interesting and some tasty and some just okay. The deserts are plentiful. And oddly I liked the cheap pizza. Reminded of the stuff I got in high school in the 90s. And hate to say it, I liked it. Overall. I will return here. It was on par with other buffets, with that odd Mexican twist making this a bit different.

My family and I went here a few weekends ago. The kids were both asleep when we walked in so I only wanted 2 adult buffets and drinks. They wrote in big letters on our receipt, "KIDS DONT EAT!!!". They watched us like Hawks the entire time we were eating. My kids are 3 and 1. Even if they had been awake, how much could they possibly eat? It was so rude! Despite their looks, they never filled up our drinks either. The ceiling is all stained and the carpet was filthy. The food was good but not amazing. I will not be going to eat there again.

This Chinese buffet features Chinese cuisine, Sushi, and a little bit of American and Mexican dishes, as well as customized mini tacos and steak. The food is fresh and there is a nice variety. I was a little disappointed that some of my favorites were not on the buffet such as Pepper Chicken, Egg Foo Yong, fried shrimp, and Chow Mein. The Lo Mein was bland, but the spareribs were perfectly cooked, tasty and very tender. The Bourban Chicken was excellent! Very tender and delicious sauce. I have dined here three times and will come again.
