Got a chance to try this place out for the first time, during lunch. My father really wanted to try it since it is obviously new to the region. Its location is in an older strip mall region that has changed over the years, so its a bit run down outside but inside the place looked really nice. Staff seemed polite and nice though after being seated, I didnt see much of them. Seemed like they came and went whenever I went to go get food while my father ate, so I can not really give a review on them. The food though is another thing. I have tried many different Buffets in SA over the years, but sadly there was more disappointment than I had hoped. Either many people dont have taste buds in the review or they have not been to many buffets here. The food looked appealing. The first plate I had, was mostly sea food. The crab salad I had was very basic, about same quality as store bought. The Sauteed garlic shrimp was good. The Octopus salad was sadly not good. The octopus tasted like it was straight out of the freezer and thawed under cold tap. At least it was not rubbery/chewy, but the best part of it was the celery, which says enough for most. The sushi though was better than most of the buffets I have been to, but HEBs made Sushi is a slight step better quality if that helps give an idea for others. The 2nd plate was WORSE. I am a big fan of orange chicken and Sesame chicken. I took one piece of each and wanted to badly spit it back out in the napkin but since I didnt want to catch attention to others sitting by, I just quickly swallowed it down in disgust and washed it down with soda. Did not touch it again. The orange chicken tasted like battered fried chicken tossed around in warm orange marmalade. The Sesame chicken, I can not even describe but it did not taste like how most of the time it tastes in more places. The mussel covered with cheese, was probably the worst thing I tasted out of everything. It had a very strong metallic taste, at that point I could not continue chewing and I spit it out in my napkin. The cream cheese rangoon (triangle shaped) was very very bland along with the battered fried shrimp. No flavor at all, it tasted like batter and oil. The teriyaki chicken on a stick was ok. The chicken was not dry, but the teriyaki flavor was very very weak. If they were to get someone in to try and help them with the flavor of their food I think they may have a better chance. Unless they are skipping on quality on purpose so not to spend as much, but sadly thats what keeps a buffet going, if good flavor. It was nice to have lunch with my father and get to try and new place but I doubt we would every come back to this location. My father was happy we paid for lunch and not dinner, or else he said he would of been upset to spend way more for the bland and tasteless quality.

When my boyfriend and I walked in we were definitely impressed. It looked so nice and the buffet was HUGE which we absolutely loved. However, once we got settled in it all went down hill. First, our waitress, Dana, wasnt very friendly at all. They sat us at a table with a tea container and I had picked it up to set off to the side and she gave me the dirtiest look ever and just snatched it away. On top of she left all our dirty plates on the table after we were finished, I can understand if it was busy but it wasnt and not to mention its a buffet so its not that hard because its not like they have that much to do. Then I asked her for some silverware as she was picking up some dirty plates off of a table and I watched her as she went to grab some and she didnt even wash her hands. She handed me the silverware with her hands on the part that I eat from. I was so grossed out so I explained to her what the problem was and she brought me a new one. Then we saw on two separate occasions two little kids coughing all over the dessert. One was over the jello and the other was over the ice cream. Another little boy grabbed a cookie with his bare hands and his father told him to put it back and grabbed him a total different cookie with tongs. Kids should not be allowed unsupervised at the buffet. We lost our appetite at that point and left. We will NOT be returning there ever again. So horrible.

One of the better Chinese buffets in San Antonio. Teppanyaki Grill and Buffet has a wide selection of food, including a decent sushi bar. Included with the buffet is a steak, crab legs, oysters, & shrimp as well as a hibachi grill that does a Mongolian style BBQ. Some other hard to find items can be found on this buffet including seaweed salad, and dim sum items. The custard buns are one of my favorites. The sushi bar features the common rolls, as well as sashimi, nigiri and hand rolls which you dont really see too often on buffets. There are some good regular entree items on the buffet as well, including a few shrimp dishes, and even salt and pepper squid. This place is good for families as it has a section towards the back corner, that has items more appealing to kids. Chicken nuggets and pizza can be found in this section. The buffet features self serve scooped ice cream as well, and a decent sized arcade room with ticketed games and prizes. Overall the food here is decent to good. There are a few items Ive not been impressed with, but the majority are tasty. The selection is one of the widest selections in the city. The price is fair, currently $11.99 and service is good the majority of the time. I would recommend this buffet for people looking for a different choice of items, or taking kids out to eat with them.

I, honestly, really wanted to like this place. The decor is gorgeous, the food looked a little above decent, which is great for a buffet. Our group had 8 people, and 6 of us showed up at 8pm. The waitress just snatched the ticket from us and and got our drinks and those were the only times we saw her *at the table*. Until 9pm, we only needed 2 more people, who were on the way, less than 5 minutes. She asked if they were coming, and when we confirmed, she made an exasperated breath and clicked her tongue at me. To top it all of, my friend right next to me spoke mandarin. He heard her complaining to one of her friends that we needed to hurry up and leave so she could get out early, and how she was so pissed off because there was still 2 people coming. Mind you, we still had an hour before closing. Not even 5 minutes later, our friends arrived and left the ticket on the table for the waitress to see, and ran to get food so they could be quick with eating. And our waitress gave each of us, individually, dirty looks and asked for her ticket. The only other time we saw her that night was when she threw our dishes in her bussing tray to be done with us. No smiles, introductions, and one of the rudest services Ive ever had. Just saying, dirty looks for and hour and a half makes a happy customer not.
