I went to the new Popeyes in Durham, NC on Guess road. Ordered the fish/shrimp box. Very disappointed in the little strip pieces of chicken!!!! It was also fried too hard. The shrimp and biscuits were good!!! I used to live in New York & New Jersey where there are lots of Popeyes. We had whole pieces(legs, wings, thighs,etc.) of real chicken with the shrimp/chicken box. Never seen that before. I was shocked!!! Bojangles got you beat on the dirty rice too.

Sadly, I must give this location a bad rating because they are in one of the worst areas of Durham traffic-wise... customers are forced to park in a nearby construction area, and a very hostile tow-truck driver backed into my vehicle and the management wouldnt do anything about it... boycott this location at all costs... the last thing I needed or wanted was to end up getting shot or shot at over a traffic issue...

I didnt mind waiting forever in the drive-thru lane to get some Popeyes but seeing how everyone was hyping it up for me (that Popeyes > Bojangles), I was really excited to try Popeyes chicken. With that said, the chicken was not in any way comparable to Bojangles at all! The flavor was really meh. And the entire meal was honestly disappointing, the food just did not live up to its hype nor did it taste great.

Just be prepared to wait. Here on a Monday night and the drive-thru line is wrapped around the building, out to the street and back down the street to the stop light. Unbelievable. Line inside too! Bojangles line looking anemic compared to Popeyes right now. Durhams finest directing traffic because of this Popeyes traffic line. Crazy. Oh, didnt give it 5 stars because this location doesnt sell fried okra

Bojangles is trash. KFC is hot trash. Popeyes is the only acceptable place to get drive through fried chicken in Durham. Dont play yourself. Get some Popeyes spicy chicken and smokey red beans and rice. Only negative thing you can even say about Popeyes delicious golden fried chicken is that it is so good, that the cops have to come out and manage the traffic. Can be super busy.

We went through the drive-thru and the person taking the order was extremely nice and helpful. Also the guy at the window was so very nice. Gave our puppy a treat☺ and made sure our order was correct. They forgot our sauce but that was okay we were just happy having had great service. And the food was hot and delicious!

The sides corn on cob and mash potatoes only get one ★and went back and still dont fix it Went to the one on guess road waited forever and there fish fried to hard ugh so many ppl here but food sucks always fried to crisp only thing is good is sides and red bean and rice my a** it looks like brown goop never again!!!!

Well of course it was very clean. Now mind you,it was my first time eating there. Food was a little salty for my taste. Prices comparative to other type eaterys. Surprised of the menu not a lot to choose from. Frog legs, crayfish or fried gater or turtle would have been good maybe gumbo oh lord.

The food portions are kinda small for the price. The Cajun seasoning seems to overpower the flavor of everything! Also, depending on which cashier is at the counter, you get only one sauce for the surf and turf - so Im supposed to use the cocktail sauce for the shrimp and for the chicken?!

Food was good, took 50 minutes in the drive thru. Parking is still ridiculous. No mac and cheese, or Ocra. Also they dont list Dinners only combos, and platters. Dinners dont have the drink included, but are available. Check your order, didnt get everything I was supposed to.

Not worth the mony we payed.. $9.00 for four pieces of shrimp, two scrawny chicken strips, and a tiny biscuit. They had the the nerve to call it a platter. Everything was overspiced with cumin of all things and over priced. We wont be going back. Ijs

Portion size is VERY SMALL!! NOT worth the price!! Surf and Turf consists of two (2) small chicken strips and four (4) small shrimp. Staff NOT friendly! BoJangles is so much better and they will get my business from now on...

Was able to park and skip the drive thru line. My po boy was squished and they forgot my fellow diners biscuit. Onion rings and fries were great. Extensive soda selection. Will try again. Menu offerings similar to Bojangles.

Good location and indoor setting. Parking situation is pretty ridiculous. Hopefully they can take the cones down soon! Definitely worth visiting if you havent had Popeyes before.
