This was one of the worst Mexican restaurants Ive ever had the displeasure of eating in. Stay away! I never take the time to review anything but if this review can save some poor soul from an awful dining experience the it was worth the time spent. The salsa was tomato juice with a little hot sauce (very runny). They got my order wrong. The re-fried beans were gray tasteless paste. the Spanish rice was dry with a slight amount of tomato juice mixed in (tasteless) My chicken and shrimp fajitas arrived as beef and 4 small shrimp. Over cooked and dry, also tasteless. No cheese a dab sour cream and guacamole with soggy lettuce. WOW! how can you screw up fajitas? I have been to Mexico many times to compete in the Baja racing events. The food was always fantastic no mater where we ate, even from the little guy who sold tacos from a cooler on the back of and old Honda 3 wheeler for $1.00 each (best Tacos Ive ever had) The Mexican people take great pride in the preparation of their food. These guys have never been to Mexico and should consider planning a trip there. Stay far,far away!

I was told this was a good mexican food place. Being from texas i was craving it. It took a few minutes to sit down. Almost imediately after i sat down the waiter brought out the salsa and mostly small broken chips and asked me what i wanted to eat. I told him i havent had a chance to open the menu. I asked for some chili con queso. He said they have cheese dip. I asked if he could put some pico de gallo in it. He said no. So i said just bring some tea. He comes back and takes my order. The only time he has any interaction with me after that was to put my bill on the table and left with out saying anything. He never refilled my tea or asked how everything was. He gave the worst service ive experienced anywhere. The food was ok but not great.

You sacrifice quality for efficiency. I asked for one thing, I was given another. The people up front were very inefficient and uncaring. I added chips and sour cream to my original phone-in carry out order and after messing that up, they traveled back and forth to the kitchen three times While the cashier refused to ring me up until after the woman was done running back and forth. I asked twice on the phone and reiterated once in person that I wanted the quesadilla platter with chicken and NOT a chicken quesadilla and was still given a chicken quesadilla with barely any chicken and crap tons of cheese. The chicken, however, was actually pretty good. But, uh, Yep, wont be coming back.

My review is focused on the service of the restaurant. They have great food too but i was blown away by a man named Ricki who works there. Im not sure if im spelling his name right but he really brightened my day when i was going through a hard moment. The man was extremely welcoming, positive, and very friendly. He was also very professional and attentive. It meant a lot to me and id like to say thank you to him. Ricki, Youre the man! I hope this reaches you and the owners or managers because they should know how great you are! Thank you for a wonderful experience! When i travel back through Fargo ill definitely be coming back. Thank you.

I am so happy that the Acapulco is being discovered by the FM Area, and out of town visitors! The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is the most Authentic Mexican food in the Fargo, Moorhead area! The food tastes and looks amazing! They offer a lot of ways to combine your favorite dishes. If what you like is not on a combined option, just let them know what you want and they will make it happen. The price to eat here is very reasonable! For 2 people without drinks, it is around $22 average when ordering from the combo dishes. I eat here at least 1 time a month

What can I say...I havent had horchata since I lived in Cali. Now I can have one my favorite beverages. So delicious on a warm day. Its like rice pudding in beverage form. This day we also chose to try their flan. Its a wonderful custard with the perfect blend of creaminess to firmness. An excellent sign of that required water bath. Local people know how delicious the food is at Acapulco. Travelers, I highly recommend you give it a whirl. You will not be disappointed. Everything feels very lively here. You cannot help but smile and leave feeling happy.

Love thevauthentic atmosphere and food! Lived in El Paso Texas just outside of Juarez and also in Pahrump Nevada....we had the best Mexican food because it was authentic. Take it from me...nowhere else in this area comes close because Acapulco is the real deal. You havent eaten real Mexican food in this area if you havent been here. The staff is fantastic, polite and attentive. In fact they are Mexican. Go figure right? There recipes and culture shared at an affordable price with those seeking real Mexican food.

Very typical mexican food. Food was served very quickly. Unfortunately, while the plate was hot-hot-hot, some of the food was cold. The blended margariBattas were good. They serve chips and salsa when you get in, and you can get refills on both. The servers are all mexican, and their english is weak so they come across a little grouchy. The decor is normal, but the seats in the booths need to be replaced as theyre all worn out. Bathrooms were gross. Toilet paper roll was on the floor.

I am from Mexico and I like going to Acapulco. They simply serve the food a typical Mexican family prepares. Still I would say it is fit to the American market (we do not use that much of black olives and sour cream). The rest of "Mexican" restaurants in Fargo are totally "American" to a true Mexicano. People who say it is not "authentic" I wonder if they have ever been to Mexico. Acapulco is the closest to Mexico you can get in food, environment, prices, and even beer selection.

Acapulco Fargo is not worth even one star rating.Ridiculous spoiled & test less food. Totally unprofessional servers, cashier. We would never recommend to anyone to go there . We visited last night (Saturday) at 7.55PM, restaurant closes at 9PM, still guy was asking to hurry up placing order, he was not ready to edit contents, said Kids need to order from kids menu only and adult can not order from kids menu... what a.... It was seriously worst experience.

Best Mexican in Fargo! This is one of our favorite places to go...the food is excellent, great service, salsa is amazing! It is a great value & never a long wait! Weve never had a bad experience here. It is family run and very authentic for being this far north! The other Mexican restaurants in the area lack in authenticity. We love bringing company here...everyone enjoys it :) Definitely recommend!

Stayed at Super 8 next door and desk clerk said she heard good things about this restaurant. Checked the reviews and saw many very 4-5 stars. Restaurant was clean and service was great. Their camarrones a la Diablo (my favorite) was excellent. Lots of large shrimp. Reasonable price considering generous size of the entree. I dont particularly like refried beans but theirs were great. Will come back again!
